Best dental cleaning/visit I've received to date in NYC -- she personally handles the cleanings from start to finish to get the most comprehensive understanding of each patient's dental health. Despite having sensitive teeth, I never felt any pain or soreness, and still came out of the visit with the cleanest teeth! She is thorough and meticulous in her work, and also emphasizes patient education -- something that is often missed in healthcare. Had my first cleaning/check up dental appointment post covid. They are very safe and clean. They make you put on shoe covers and wash your hands before going into the treatment room. The X-ray technician/dental assistant brought me into the room and took my X-rays. She was so gentle and through. I appreciated how she walked me through the images, which most dental offices don't do. Dr. Jo came in after and did the whole cleaning herself. She was very thorough with the cleaning and was explaining to me everything going on with my oral health. I learned a lot about my teeth today all thanks to her!!! I've been coming here 3 years in a row. Both Dr Jo and her staff are super friendly and responsive. Dr Jo is very personable and knowledgeable, she remembers her patients on personal level, gives great and genuine suggestions. My experience here was nothing shy of exceptional. First off, I came way too early for my cleaning and the office staff kept apologizing for my wait. The office is larger than you would expect from the street and the interior was clean, bright, and white, much like your teeth will be when you leave. Aside from the staff being very nice, my cleaning was done by the dentist herself. I have never once, in almost 30 years, had a dentist do the cleaning. She doesn't have hygienists because she knows she can do a better job - and it shows. Overall, I was super happy that all I got was some grief about not flossing enough, but no sales pitch to buy the latest $300 toothbrush or consider cosmetic work. That is such a huge turn off and I'm so happy that was not part of this experience. I am actually looking forward to coming back in 6 months for my next cleaning. read more
