I agree with the previous review that there aren't more positive reviews. When some of my tenants moved out of their home the other week, I was appalled stained toilets, built up grime along the baseboards, stains in the carpet from who knows what, just to name a few of them. I met with Holly and we went over the pricing structure and the services, and I even though it was a little more than some of the other bids I got, my friend recommended them, so I went with Maids and Moore. It was totally worth it! I got home and the unit was immaculate...sparkling bathroom, carpets cleaned, and a fresh smell. I used Maids and Moore for several months before I finally had to fire them. They always did a passable, but not great, job. When Holly first met with me, she described the pricing structure, which was that the first cleaning would be billed by the hour, while subsequent cleanings were to be billed at a flat rate depending on frequency of service--monthly cleanings, for example, cost $10-20 more than if you get biweekly cleanings. At first, I had cleanings every three weeks, but the house was never really clean, so I upped the service to every other week. The quality remained unchanged, and the bill never dropped as it was supposed to. Also, on one occasion, the cleaning ladies broke a nail brush and a plant. They set the nail brush back in place as if it had not been broken and they used a HAIR CLIP to reattach the plant, as if we would never notice. I mentioned this to Holly. She gave me no apology. After a while, I noticed that the toilets were not being cleaned under the rim. Like, not at all, and things were getting scary. I filled out comment cards two weeks in a row asking for them to clean under the toilet rims and also go ahead and clean the bathroom mirrors, which were not being cleaned (one of them actually got a cobweb in front of it). This yielded no result. I called and emailed Holly. She told me that the girls said my mirrors must be scratched, not dirty, and the toilets were stained. Well, having been my own house cleaner for some time before finding Maids and Moore, I knew from experience that neither of these statements were true. I responded to that effect. After the next cleaning, the mirrors were sort of cleaned (the cobweb disappeared), but no progress was made on the toilets. (Maids who don't properly clean toilets...seriously?!?) I finally used my phone to take a video of myself partially cleaning under the rim of one of the toilets and sent it to Holly to show that the under-rim funk was really easy to remove; it just hadn't been done. I decided I would have to cancel my service with her. She said she'd come the next day and clean it herself if we would keep her service and start with a clean slate. I believe in second chances, so I agreed. She didn't come. She emailed after she was supposed to have come over to say that as a result of "pregnant brain" (her words), she forgot. No big deal. So she came the following day. When I got home from work that day, the house smelled of bleach. Apparently, instead of using a toilet brush, she decided to bleach the toilets. Okay, fine, whatever gets the job done. However, she also managed to bleach the rug in the guest bathroom. I emailed her a picture of the rug. Again, she didn't so much as apologize. That was the last straw. This service has decent pricing talks a good game, but doesn't deliver. If you're fine with mediocre cleaning, and you don't mind that they're not especially careful with your stuff, then they'll do. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble. read more

Don't fall for it! They have all these glowing Google reviews, but it's a total sham. I came home to a halfway cleaned, somewhat ransacked house. There was not a single room that I did not have to fix. They do horrible work, and the only remedy they will offer is to send someone else out to try again. Meanwhile, they don't care that you needed your house clean the day you scheduled them. They don't care that you will have to be burdened AGAIN when 'someone else' comes to try again. They will keep 100% of your money, per policy, and they will assume you are lying if you cannot produce "proof" of your complaints. They will treat you like a con-artist, not a valued client. Oh, and even when you provide fragrance-free cleaning products that you arrange for them to use ahead of time, they will leave your house full of artificial fragrances to make you think they cleaned. Meanwhile you'll find dirt and dust on everything. They didn't even clean the toilets. Absolutely criminal. read more

We hired Maids N Moore for cleaning at our second home in Austin after we saw our neighbors using their service. Since this is our second home we are not there permanently and have to change things around sometimes due to guests in town, etc. We also have a new baby so with a very busy schedule, we have to adjust schedules at times. The very first deep cleaning was great. We requested the same team for every 6 weeks but that never happened and was told it was because we change around our days. On multiple occasions we showed up to our house (that mind you, is always kept extremely neat and clean- we just needed floors mopped well, bathrooms cleaned, etc) and it seemed as if the counters were wiped off and carpet vacuumed and nothing more. Plus chairs and decor moved around and not even put back in their spot. A 2800 sq foot house and the team was there not even an hour most times. The first complaint, we were told a QC person would attend next cleaning- never happened. Then the maids splashed Clorox bleach all over our nice shower curtain. Again, I gave them another chance as I know things can happen. The last clean in July we weren't at the house again for weeks as it's summer and we had vacations. When we arrived to find they didnt even clean the master bathroom floor whatsoever where makeup had shattered everywhere it was unacceptable- especially for the price they charge. We were told again that the QC control person could come and they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I sent multiple emails to the two main contacts I knew of with NO response. It was just yesterday someone from a different co email address sent me a note after I thought maybe they would still try and make it right, saying I gave them too late of notice and a re-clean should happen way sooner. Well again, I didn't get responses from previous emails sent. They also blamed the service on switching around cleaning dates- to me, no matter what date or team working, it shouldn't affect the quality of work. They did give us a refund, finally and we will never use this service again. It is extremely sad that such an easy house to clean every 6 weeks was so difficult for this co to manage. I would find someone else in the Austin area!! read more

This company may be good for day to day, but definitely do not use them for a one off or deep cleaning. I hired them to clean our house pre-listing. The service was to be based on an estimated 3-4 hours cleaning for the whole house with the rate billed per hour. Needless to say, this did not provide the incentive for them to go quickly. They spent 5 hours working on the kitchen, and no it was not that bad, they were that slow. I walked in a couple of times to check on them and one would be staring at the other working. At some point their supervisor came by the house to check on them and I told the group that they could forego most detailing in the kitchen and move on to the rest of the house. They did not follow suit. After another hour, they went upstairs and started on the master bedroom. At this point I was concerned about how much the service would cost and called their supervisor, in the meantime the crew misunderstood my intentions and simply left. The supervisor offered to have another team come back and finish the job for free, but I had taken a day off from work to be home and was not comfortable leaving a key for these individuals, so I declined. I ended up paying them and cleaning 90% of the house myself anyway. Probably the worst experience I have ever had with a cleaning company. read more

I asked for a move in clean. The ladies came and spent 5 hours in a 2.5 bathroom house. Walking through the house a day later, I noticed cob webs from the ceiling and my feet were black from walking on my floors. In the fridge, cheese and crumbs were stuck on the shelves. I didn't expect a grand slam cleaning (although the reviews were better than the others). What was truly disappointing was a day after when the Company called to collect payment, I explained that I gave them a B- (really being generous as it was closer to a C+). Rather than asking, is there anything we can do to make it right, the lady on the phone said "So the credit card we have is X, is that correct?" I was kind of surprised by this. At minimum, I thought they would offer for someone to come out and touch up the cleaning. I wrote the Company explaining my concern and no one called or did anything. Disappointing that no response is their customer service level. Hope everyone has a better experience read more
