I've been using Maids and Moore for about 6 months for monthly cleanings. They're always on time, reasonably priced, and the customer service is friendly. Roxy is easy to work with and very responsive. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the cleanings are sometimes inconsistent. Some months, the team does an absolutely amazing job, and other times, they've missed a few spots or I can tell they moved too quickly. However, I've never been dissatisfied with the level of clean - on the contrary, it is awesome to come home to a clean house! I'm glad to have found Maids and Moore. I've used this company for many years and never had a problem. They miss things sometimes, but overall did pretty well. I stoped using maid service during lockdown and started back up within last year. The quality varies - you either get an excellent job or a horrible job - like you can see they didn't dust under things, just around; husband saw them mop around area rugs instead of picking them up and moving them. Talked to the owner, Roxy Aviles for the third time today. Insisted they send a QA out. Last two times they overbilled my credit card by 61 and 83 dollars. They refund within a few days, but after this horrible experience today, I'm done. My house isn't that dirty - they come every two weeks, but some teams are awful and some are good. Most don't speak any English so you cannot communicate even in the simplest way. read more

After deciding at the last possible moment to host a gathering at my home on Christmas Eve, and going into panic mode when I realized I would never be able to get my home "party ready," I reached out to Maids and Moore yesterday morning. They were able to schedule a deep clean for today, and they did not disappoint. I came home after work to a pristine home that even smelled clean. Not obnoxiously, chemically clean, but fresh and well, just clean smelling. My family has 6 cats, 3 dogs, and a four year old. I'm not sure how they achieved the level of clean they did, but it was worth every penny. Easy and convenient scheduling, amazing attention to detail, and fair pricing. A friend recommended Maids and Moore to me saying she'd tried several cleaning companies and this one was the best so far she'd used. I booked a deep cleaning with them and along with recurring monthly regular cleans after. They were able to give me a quote online that I thought was super reasonable for both the deep clean and regularly monthly cleaning. Two of their staff came today and they spent about 3.5 hours cleaning the house and everything looks amazing. I'd never be able to clean the bathroom as well as they left it! Although I have not used this service, albeit not for a lack of trying, I am going to leave this review. In mid November I submitted a request for a quote on their website. Received said quote but did not immediately respond. I believe it was the next day I received an email from Rebecca asking me when I would be scheduling a clean. I responded that the price was pretty steep and that I needed a little time to make that decision. In the meantime I received more emails and phone calls. Once I made an informed decision and having decided to give them a try in spite of the overpricing, I contacted Rebecca via email. She informed me that I would have to call the office to give them credit card information in advance and then schedule my routine cleaning. I have now called 'the office' THREE times at various times of day. Each time I got a recording saying that it was either after hours or they were helping other customers and suggested I leave a message and I would be contacted within 24 hours. THREE time I have left a message and THREE times I have not received a call back. In my opinion the lack of professionalism in responding to a potential client says quite a lot about this company and tells me it is just as well that I didn't get involved with them. read more

I called Maids and Moore to have our home cleaned before the Thanksgiving holiday.. We had recently lost our housekeeper of 3 years, and were still interviewing for the position. Granted, I have high expectations when it comes to a "clean home," but who wouldn't paying $70/hr? OK, I'll just start from the beginning... First, the 2 women arrived late- I was not contacted, and called the company to see if they were still coming (I received an answering machine). They finally arrived hauling their ancient equipment behind them. I explained I had everything they'd need: the top of the line products for our hardwood, granite, travertine, stainless steal, etc., but they insisted on using their '89 hoover and mystery bottles of solution.. whatever. One thing I know they did, was vacuum (aka annoy the entire house), excessively! I left to find peace and run a few errands.. when I returned, the house looked OK. Despite the fact they were here for 3 1/2 hours (my 1 housekeeper does more in half that time) and believing my 2 year-old niece could do a similar job, I went about my evening. Later, walking through the kitchen, I realized the floor had not been swept or mopped..!?! Continuing, the sink and counters had not been cleaned, wood floors in our dining/living area hadn't been touched, bathroom mirrors were streaky, and the list goes on. Appalled- I began cleaning, knowing I had to cook and entertain the following day! I contacted this company because of their flawless reviews on Yelp. My bad, lesson learned..! In the end, Holly, the owner discounted me a pathetic 1/2 hr worth of cleaning (I spent more of my time cleaning after they left). Long story short, steer clear! read more

Maids and Moore is just ok. I had to hire a maid service because of an automobile accident. My doctor told me to hire a maid to let my back heal. I'm not a fan of maids because I'm super picky about the way in which my house is cleaned. Maids and Moore send over 3 ladies (all 3 spoke Spanish) so communicating with them was a joke. The first floor of my house is hard tile, and I noticed after they left that 2 areas were not vacuumed/swept or mopped. So after they left I had to pull out my vacuum and finish what they missed. They didn't do a terrible job;however, if I'm paying for a cleaning service to clean then I expect my entire house to be cleaned. It's also irritating that I couldn't communicate with the maids that were sent over. I've since hired another maid service to come back on a weekly basis. read more

Shocked at the negative reviews, but this can be remedied.... I've been using Maids and Moore for at least a year and I am very happy. I've gone through lots of maids who didn't clean, didn't show to their appointment, didn't respond well to feedback, but I've had a great experience with them. I'm almost never home when they arrive, so I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but when I get home, my house spotless and shiny. I love that they use a vinegar solution which is earth friendly and safe for the residents and animals of the house. They get my house house clean in 1.2 hours and the few times I've had issues and let them know, they've always made an effort to solve the problem. One time they left the trash on the front porch and another time they for got two of the bedrooms. They came back the next day to clean the bedrooms and Roxy was very apologetic. Edit 2: Oh i see they are changing their response to take away the offer to send my personal photos. I will upload it myself and let you decide for yourself if it was the result of a non-sticky non-adhesive bit of plastic, or a drop of chemical that fell on the table. Edit: She told me she refused to even submit a claim. So either she lied to me in the text she sent me, or she is lying to all of you. And I do not like that she is offering to share pictures of my private property (that I took and sent to her because she refused to send anyone from her company to look at the damage) with anyone who requests them. That is a violation of privacy and reflects very poorly on the company. Finally, Holly, what proof does it show? That my table was damaged? That it was impossible that it was damaged by a bit of plastic? Ridiculous. And please, let's discuss this through the BBB, like I have already requested. We have a antique table that was damaged during a recent cleaning and Maids and Moore refuses to take any responsibility for the damage. A small circular area of varnish was removed (about the size of a quarter). We alerted the company the next business day via email and phone. Two days later Holly called me and proceeded to tell me her theory, which was that a googly eye (you know, a craft product) that she could see in the picture I sent must have been stuck to the table and that it removed the varnish when the cleaner removed it. I told her that was impossible as it was a non-adhesive googly eye. And that even IF it had been adhesive and had stuck to the table, a sticker would not be able to remove that much varnish and in that manner. I sent her another picture showing that the damage is also bigger than the googly eye and that the back of the googly eye was perfectly clean and showed no signs that it had ever been stuck to anything. I asked her if she had spoken with the people that had cleaned our house and she said "yes." I then asked her what they said and that is when she admitted that she hadn't spoken to anyone. She called me back 10 minutes later and said she spoke to the woman who said it was the googly eye. I asked her if the cleaner mentioned the googly eye first, or if she brought up it up first. Holly claimed that the cleaner brought it up first but then admitted that the cleaner was speaking spanish and someone else was translating for her. I asked her to take it to their insurance. A few days later claimed that she spoke with the insurance rep and then let me know that she would not be filing it on their insurance because they didn't think they did anything wrong. She won't send me any proof of her communication with her insurance. There is literally nothing in our household that could have caused that damage. The only thing that happened that day was we had out house cleaned. But they are completely unwilling to take any responsibility for this damage in the face of all logic and reason. If you choose to use this company, maybe take photos of your valuables right before each cleaning in order to prove that they caused the damage, if anything does happen. read more

I am hugely surprised to find that Maids and Moore doesn't have more positive reviews. Working as an estate manager, I've struggled to find a maid service that satisfied the standards I work to achieve. I have let several cleaning services go, some during their initial visit, but I have had great luck with Maids and Moore. The maids arrive promptly at their scheduled time, keep their conversations to a minimum, work efficiently, and seem very sweet and respectful. Most importantly, they do a very thorough job. Three women visit the house weekly and for the most part, I am greeted by the same faces each time. I value that this provides a greater level of security in their performance and trust that valuables won't go missing. On the one occasion that I did have an issue with a specific maid talking too loudly, using her cell phone, and looking a little disheveled, she was quickly replaced. They did a fine job cleaning but lied about how long they were at my house. They attempted to bill me for five hours when I know for a fact they were at my house for four hours max. I called them out on this and they begrudgingly met me in the middle and only billed me for 4.5 hours. Never using them again. I consider that highly unethical and, frankly, bizarre. read more

I can't think of a better cleaning company to go with when you need one. Yesi and Merit, the ladies that came to my home were top notch. From the initial contact with The Booking Manager, Colin Moore, and The Director of Operations, Roxy, I've been made to feel that my particular needs were of utmost importance and everyone went out of their way to see to it that I was treated with absolute respect, I was made to feel that I my wants and needs had value and importance. Yesi and Merit came into my home last Friday and right away they got down to the business of cleaning. They were both very personable, very efficient and they put me at ease almost immediately. I'm happy to say Yesi and Merit will be returning to my home on a biweekly basis. The first visit includes the routine cleaning and the deep cleaning package. Then, to top things off, I got a discounted price for my first visit and an additional 10% off that! It doesn't get much better than that! Knowing that my home will now be clean and shiny on a regular basis makes me one happy person. I just can't say enough about the way I was treated from the very contact all the way to the absolute efficient and thorough cleaning that was done. The ladies that came here were not only absolutely capable but they were both very personable and while they worked we also got to chat a bit. They didn't stop what they were doing to chat though. In fact, I can't think of a time when either one of them stopped working to chat with either me or themselves. They were cleaning the entire time and only stopped to clarify something during that first hour. After that, they just knew what to do and where to clean without any help needed from me. This was not a good experience. It started out well. The scheduling process was easy and pleasant (talked to a real person). Initially after the cleaning everything looked OK and I was pleased with the results of an area I didn't think could be cleaned. But on further inspection I found that the hard wood floors were still dirty and the oven cleaning was not finished. I called to complain and they immediately set up a follow up visit. However no one showed up. Finally I called and they told me that the person was out sick and didn't realize she had been scheduled to come by my house. UPDATE: The staff emailed me back and addressed the issues. I am impressed with their customer service and have adjusted my rating. Initially I booked a deep cleaning my apartment and was really impressed with their attention to detail so I gave this company 5 stars. I even recommended them to friends needing a deep cleaning. After signing up for a monthly cleaning 5 months ago, I have been disappointed with the quality of service. The attention to detail stopped once I signed up for regular cleanings. I mentioned this in the post-cleaning emails the staff sends and I asked if other tasks could be skipped to hit the priority areas. I was assured that quality would be improved. During this last visit, bleach was spilled on the carpet and no one told me about the stain via note or email. This was the second incident of damage. I live in an apartment and now have to deal with my management company about the damage to my blinds and the bleach stain on the carpet. I left a 20% tip for each cleaning and didn't want to complain, but getting a monthly cleaning was becoming too much of an expense considering the rapid deterioration of the quality of service. read more

Very informative. The cleaning crew is very courteous as well, although they seem to have problems keeping their appointment time slots. We've been told they would arrive at a certain time, and had to call when they didn't show up to find out what the delay was. Beyond that, however, they do a great job! No other complaints. This company is great. I've used them twice now, and I've been so impressed with the service. They are able to come quickly and were done in exactly the time they said - 2 hours. I walked in the house expecting it to be clean, but I was surprised how good of a job they did. It is super clean. I received the first of four scheduled cleanings from Maids and Moore this morning. They contacted me on behalf of Cleaning for a Reason--a charity that provides four free house cleanings for cancer patients (that's me!). Two cleaners worked for about 2-2.5 hours to clean my 1,000 sq ft house and did a pretty good job. They dusted, cleaned the bathroom thoroughly, did the dishes, and vacuumed the whole house. I'm not sure they mopped like I requested, but the floors definitely look improved. The cleaners were friendly and quiet. One of them spoke English and she translated my requests to the other woman. I can't speak to how much value I got for the money because it wasn't me paying. But as a free service, I'm very satisfied and look forward to seeing them again next month. read more

We had a house we sold deep cleaned and it was just wonderful! We then requested a deep clean service for the house we purchased and it felt like nothing had been really cleaned at all. The shower & cabinets weren't even touched! They charged us around $350 and all they did was a some dusting (they did dust) and wiped down our counter tops that I could see. Either way, the house didn't feel cleaned at all. I called the company to let them know of what happened and the owner got a hold of me to get the details and offered to make it right. I had Maids & Moore come out and do a deep clean on my house. The first time they came out they spent six hours barely doing a surface clean. Things that are part of a deep clean according to their website that were missed the first time were: front of cabinets cleaned, cobweb patrol (fan down rods still have cobwebs on them) AC registers dusted, baseboards hand wiped, window sills cleaned, light fixtures dusted, and just general dusting. I contacted them to let them know these things were missed and they immediately scheduled a reclean. After the second cleaning I still had cobwebs on the down rods of all my fans. There are lamps in the master that were never dusted, my coffee table was not dusted, nor were light fixtures and these were all things I had specifically mentioned were missed. They were missed even after an inspection from a supervisor. After I pay for a deep clean I expect my house to be spotless, I should not have to go behind and clean ANYTHING. I would have said something to the ladies doing the cleaning or the supervisor but the cleaning team did not speak English. Which communication directly with the cleaning team is important to me as I have large dogs and I need to be able to tell them to stay out of a certain room, or don't go out back. That is a huge safety concern for the maids. When I could not communicate with the first team I asked for a team I could communicate with and was informed that 95% of their staff only speak Spanish. So if communication with the team is an issue, please take this into consideration. I would have said something to the supervisor, but she came and went without ever saying anything to me at the end. Next, it smelled like all they cleaned with was undiluted bleach. My house reeked so bad of bleach my eyes started to water. I had to open all my windows to let my house air out. Last of all, when they charged me they overcharged me by $75.00, they did immediately refunded it, however, how many people do they do this to that never catch it? In fact, the only reason they got two stars instead of one is because they did try to immediately correct any issues I had, but bottom line, I paid way too much for the service I received and will never use them again. read more
