If you like hot chicken spots like Dave's or Al's then you need to give Main Chick a go. They are a significant step up in every regard, but especially in flavor and product quality. The chicken they use is a big improvement alone, but their seasoning is spot on and delivers flavor depth more than just adding heat and salt like those other places. Three stars is generous I fear. The fries were so crispy they were inedible. The flavor would've worked nicely but truly fried to where you could chip a tooth. I love checking out new spots and this place just opened up a month ago so I had to check it out. First off the parking at this location can get really busy and crazy. There is also metered parking nearby on Ventura. The restaurant is tucked in the corner next to the pizza n ramen spots and very clean with inside and outside dining areas. The staff were nice and explained to me the levels of hotness. I ordered the chicken sandwich-spicy. And yeah my nose was running and I loved it lol. The chicken was very flavorful crispy, sweet and hot. I'm a sauce girl so I asked for extra sauce on the side and they charged $1.40. That's pretty steep for a little thing of sauce. Despite our order getting lost in transition or maybe accidentally handed to someone else, we still had such a fun experience. The wait actually went by pretty fast, and we were excited to be among the first 50 customers to get combo #1 along with a Labubu. It made my son's day! This was his very first Labubu, and he was absolutely thrilled holding his chicken tenders in one hand and his Labubu in the other. The chicken tenders where huge and packed with heat. However the Mac n cheese fell short today. It tasted like eating plain pasta. Idk what happened to the creamy cheese part. We did notice the mild was spicier than usual. My son always orders mild, but today it definitely had more heat than expected. He needed a good amount of water to keep up with the spice. Overall, the Grand Opening had great energy. Staff and service is exceptional at this fast casual restaurant that has both indoor and outdoor shooting options. Restaurant is very clean. Parking is provided. Food is solid and fresh. Portions are generous pricing is as expected and comparable to other competitors. I've made it a thing to always try other Main chick locations and this one definitely smacks! The tenders were extra crunchy, loved how it wasn't so greasy either! I usually do spicy and it's the perfect kick and seasoned to perfection. The sliders do need a little more sauce though, or atleast two sauces like the tenders come with. The fries were crunchy and yummy per usual. The Mac and cheese stands out here more than other locations, so anytime I'm here I make it part of my order! The sauce is always so amazing. This location is a newer one, and is located in a busy shopping center. Parking is tricky but not much of an issue after the initial lunch rush but during it, good luck.
