I had one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, it wasn't only because of the food but also because the incredible customer service from the staff. Food; The food was delicious. I got the jalapeño burger (medium well) and chili cheese fries. Not only was the burger cooked to perfection but the chili cheese fries were up to par with the burger. Customer service; From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel genuinely welcome. Judith was our server and she made sure we had everything we needed. Such a great pit stop if you're on the way up to the TO area from south OC like us and needed to stretch your legs after the nightmare of 405 traffic getting to the 101. I know, so specific. But I was HANGRY, pretty much murderous, after getting stuck from the Getty onward, kicking myself for not having stopped around Sawtelle or Westwood to eat. So yah, great stopping point. Moving on - food, awesome. I got the blue cheese burger, husband got the regular sized chili fries (great portion, the large looks like it can feed two people) and we shared onion rings. And the toddler got the crispy chicken bites with sweet potato fries kids meal. All satisfied. Hanger abated. Now we can get on our merry way on up the 101. Server was nice, and grabbed me some ranch upon asking. Ambience is great, too: lots of seating. You can either sit inside, or an outer covered patio area, or an outdoor area where you're basically in the parking lot but surrounded by tall shrubbery and bistro lights with heat lamps. Their Ahi sandwich is usually amazing. Surprisingly good, especially for a fast food place. My sandwich tonight (delivery) was absolutely DISGUSTING. The Ahi is supposed to be gently seared. It was almost cooked through and dried out. There was no vinegarette so got a dry sandwich, yet the bottom bun was soggy like someone set it in water. Just gross. The falafel wrap we tried was meh. We wouldn't order it again, but was edible. My friend's chicken sandwich and onion rings were ok. I would have given it perhaps another star, but I just talked to the manager and she could not possibly have sounded like she cared less about my problem. Luckily we ordered through DoorDash, so got a little bit back on the order. But the food quality and a manager who doesn't give a crap about the food they put out is worth noting for the record. read more

My assistant placed an order through Uber, and unfortunately the driver left in such a hurry that part of our order was forgotten. I called the restaurant directly to explain what happened, and that's when I had the pleasure of speaking with Judith S. What a ray of sunshine! In fact, she was so impressive that I almost wanted to call her back and offer her a job. Judith is an incredible asset to The Stand, and I truly hope her team knows how valuable she is. Her customer service skills are exceptional--far beyond what most people would expect these days. She was kind, patient, understanding, and genuinely listened while I vented a little (I was definitely hangry, but not rude!). Within seconds, she completely turned the situation around, and before I knew it, the missing food was already on its way to me. Customer service can make or break an experience in the restaurant industry, and Judith is absolutely at the top of her game. Come to think of it, she is probably the manager--but if not, she certainly should be! Thank you to The Stand for employing such wonderful, understanding, and customer-focused people. I've been to the other location numerous of time and with this being so close to home, I've only been twice. This location does have a good parking lot out back as well as street parking. Not only that, there's a nice garden outdoor dining area. Tall ficus tree blocks out the view of the parking lot but still has a nice openness in the front looking out to Ventura Blvd. Plenty of picnic table as well as high top communal tables. There's also heat lamps when needed and at night, the strung lights above. Inside also does have two dining area. One right when you walk through the door. There's also a nice flatscreen that tends to have sports on. It did when we arrived. The main dining area, there's more seating there as well. It's an open concept when you order and the kitchen is right there. You're able to see the meals being prepared while waiting to order. Same menu as the other location except I believe century city offers breakfast. There's also beer on tap as well as wine available. Plus, their sweets are delicious. Fresh baked cookies and brownies are both not to be missed. Entrees wise, I tend to always get their Cobb salad. It's a pretty big portion. Mixed greens with bacon, avocado, tomatoes, blue cheese, cucumber, corn salsa, red pepper, carrots and of course chicken in a vinaigrette dressing. We also got the seared ahi tuna salad with spring mix, red onion, cucumber, scallions, red peppers, cherry tomatoes, crispy onions strings in a spicy Thai vinaigrette. Both salad was great and of course we needed a side of fries. Sauce wise, ranch and their sweet chili aioli. Food is good. Simply classic but tasty. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and bowl, hot dogs. There's also plenty of sides dishes as well. Downfall with this location, there's no pickle slices to help yourself too. read more

Just had a great meal at the Encino Stand! Fantastic Southwest Chicken salad. Delicious double cheeseburger with diced onions and mustard. Cooked perfectly medium. Fantastic onion rings dipped in ranch. Blonde ale. Pickles. I see a milkshake in my immediate future. Three cheers for Crystal, the excellent server! I like her a whole lot! Presentation, looked delicious, very tasty and before I condemn the wilted lettuce, I made sure it was truly wilted and not the teriyaki dressing. Yes, some of the lettuce had brown edges. (See picture) +2.5 for look and taste, -1 for wilted lettuce. While the staff was pleasant, 15 minutes later my to go order was ready. The menu boards were big and visible but, the rotating posting between the 3 salad bowl choices and something BBQ flashed too quickly to understand exactly what the salads contained. +1, -.5 so overall 3 Stars. Service was great and everyone was super nice. Unexpected that they bring food to your table at a fast food restaurant. Leaving four stars because the food i ordered wasn't great, but it wasn't super expensive so I can't be mad and I probably ordered wrong. I ordered a brisket sandwich that had way too many toppings that you lost the flavor of the brisket. I also ordered broccolini, which was a mistake because this is a fast food joint so I should have just gotten fries (the broccolini was very soggy). And the fries, was under seasoned, they needed tons of ketchup to be palatable but they give you very little ketchup when you ask for it. My wife liked her turkey sandwich because she said you can't mess up a turkey sandwich (not high praise). If you go here, probably just stick to burgers and hot dogs, that's a safe bet. read more

They have a great selection of foods from hamburgers to salads to healthy bowls. A plenty of parking spaces in their lot as well as meters on streets. Beautiful patio outside along with seatings inside. I went in around close to 12:40pm to order a hamburger to go. I waited there for almost 20mins unfortunately. They have an app, so next time I'd order by an app to pick it up. The hamburger was ok - nothing special but a regular hamburger. A pretty generous size patty though. read more

It's been a number of years since my last review. Mostly because the Woodland Hills and Calabasas locations are closer to my home. We came to the Encino location because it is a better spot for meeting my daughter and son (who was coming with his dog - so the patio area was perfect). We ordered at the counter. Got our own drinks at the soda machine. The staff brings the food to the table as soon as it is ready (which is pretty fast). I ordered the Southwest Chicken salad ($13.75). Huge portion, tons of chicken. Delish. My wife got the chicken club sandwich ($13). Also delish. We shared a side of sweet potato fries ($4.60). Those were just ok. Wouldn't get them next time I am here. The patio is lovely. Tables are nicely spaced. Lots of trees to provide shade. A little bit of street noise from Ventura Blvd - but not a problem. read more

First time trying this through DoorDash and it was amazing! Even though it was cold by the time I got it - it was still perfect! The short rib grilled cheese with the bacon jam hit the spot! I also got Mac n cheese with breadcrumbs! I definitely will try another location closer to home next time so we can try it fresh. My husband said his brisket sandwich was the best sandwich he's had in a LONG time. He even finished all my food and said we definitely have to go back and give it another go! I love the stand! It's a staple of "Encino's miracle mile" or however they call it! It's not fancy but the food quality is good. My son loves the ABC burger and I like the ahi tuna salad or the Chinese chicken salad. My husband always takes a hot dog. It's reasonably priced. Good for group outdoors. Every time I come to The Stand, I walk out feeling just a bit happier, which makes my day better. I attribute this to the excellent customer service skills of Brian(one of the managers). It is evident his primary goal is ensuring customer satisfaction. He always goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a good experience. I also always make these special, annoying requests for my sandwiches and he's never once got it wrong - impressive! In addition to the customer service, the food is consistently good. The bread is always fresh and perfectly toasted. They always use fresh ingredients from their tomatoes to their arugula. Today, we ordered the following items: Chicken club sandwich Grand Stand turkey sandwich Broccoli cheddar soup The chicken breast was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. I don't know what kind of spread they put on the bread but it elevated the taste of the sandwich. The turkey sandwich is equally good if not better. The sourdough bread they use is soooo good. They put just the right amount of ingredients so that no other ingredient overpowers another. The broccoli cheddar soup was really delicious. I love The Stand! This location has been around for over ten years. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, which is nice depending on the weather. I like the concept of ordering at the counter and having the food brought to you, which makes it perfect for groups. They also host school fundraisers where they donate a certain percentage back to the school. I ordered the Blue Burger and loved the blue cheese crumbles. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ sauce, so I swapped it out for another one, and it was perfect. We also got a kids' meal, which included one side. Everything at The Stand is à la carte, so if you want fries or a side salad, you need to order it separately. read more

Always fun to spend 20 minutes filling out the online form only to get home and have NONE of the sauces you ordered be in the bag. As it happens by the time you fill out the Togo order form the pick up time invariably changes and rather than pick a new time, the app just says no. So you have to find the time put it back in to get rejected over and over. Do better it's 2025. And do not bother to call because no one will answer. They are too busy incorrectly bagging the orders. Go to the Habit next door or Shake Shack up the street. They fill the orders. . The Stand? Not so much. I have had no less than 6 orders in the last year where the item is wrong or is missing an item. We ordered a salad with no tomatoes today as well. Thanks for the tomatoes. I have been visiting this place a lot in the past. The Ultimate egg burger is my way to go. Juicy patty, melting yolk, pickled onions - everything together make a great combination of flavor. This is a great restaurant that accommodates various diets. We had gluten-free, vegan, keto, and high protein diets. There were numerous options for everyone. The food was excellent and very customizable. They cut our burgers in half so we can share. The service was good. Felt a little fast foody. They did bring our food to our table, but I had to go to the counter to get ketchup. Service was ok, but there were a lot of people. The wait for our food wasn't long. Maybe 5 minutes. But don't expect a waiter or waitress to come by and refill your water. The ambiance was great. Very welcomey and family friendly. Went with a party of 5 and had no issues with seating.
