Hands down the worst bowling experience ever. League play last night and the lanes don't work. Pins don't reset, balls don't return, etc. We had a drink spill on the lane next to us and the attendant proceeded to walk through our area to clean it up. Promptly walked thru the spill to make it even worse and had sticky soda everywhere. Management doesn't seem to care and when I informed them that my team would never choose Main Event again, he just rolled his eyes. read more

We went here on a Saturday night, wanting something a little chill and different from our normal nights out downtown. I was really excited to play glow in the dark mini-golf and arcade games. Unfortunately, the service was so bad, from the moment we walked in, that it really soured the mood. The girl who helped us at the mini-golf station looked as if she would rather be anywhere than helping us. After playing (which was really fun), we decided to grab a drink and move on to the arcade. I headed to the bar while my date went to load up a card with money for the arcade. After waiting at one bar for 5 minutes where there was no bartender at all, I headed to the main bar in the billiards area. There were 4 bartenders behind this not very busy bar, and I still could not get anyone's attention. I finally asked one of them if I could get a beer, and they asked me to wait a minute, rather than asking what I wanted, at which point my patience ran out. We left, and I doubt I'll go back, because I really can't stand poor service. If you have kids, I do think this place serves a great purpose. read more

I had the best experience here! I had a get together that allowed me to have my adult friends and their kids! I had a great time as did all of my friends! First thing, the restroom was absolutely horrible at 11:23PM when we arrived. I had to ask for the manager. Once the manager came, Jesse, and I explained, after walking him in the restroom.. there was paper towel everywhere and I had to piss with shit on the toilet seat. Then, after washing my hands, 2 of the 3 towel machines were not working. All he said, with a condescending attitude, I'm the manager and we're behind. It be that way sometime.. and walked out. I then went to the bar after waiting exactly 6 minutes before I was asked for my order. Ordered, went to mini golf and only was able to make through 4 of 18 holes because it was too hot. Wasn't really sure how to rate this, but my family and I went to Main event last night and although my family thought it was an ok experience, my husband and I were not impressed. We came here after discovering that Spare Time in Pflugerville had a two hour wait for bowling only to find out the bowling at Main Event was also the same amount of time. Okay cool, that's fine we decided to wait because we were hungry and didn't know any other place that had bowling and food. While waiting we went to the "bar" area to get drinks and have food, our server was new which we definitely could tell but I do think he could have been a bit more enthusiastic and engaging while taking our drink orders. Moving forward, when we finally got our food, it was not that great. I ordered the all American burger with fries which were tasty, however, the burger and bun was not. My beef was too well done and the bread was just ok. Getting our sever to refill our drinks was a hassle. We literally had to flag him down after telling us he would come check on us, again I understand he was new, we've all been there but I think he could have stepped it up a little. Long story short I don't think my family and I will be back except maybe to play a few games. read more

Who doesn't love All in one entertainment places! I love Main Event especially during the week. They stay open late each day of the week and provide quite a bit of games for everyone to play. Yes its a little expensive but its worth the time and money. The first thing you always notice about this place is how clean it is! They do take great care of their place and everyone is super friendly. The quality of the pool tables and bowling are fantastic. After 10 pm Pool is free! They provide different types of games for all ages. Various shooting, arcade, sporting, and ride games for all. They have a virtual roller coaster ride. They provide rock climbing and a laster tag. For parents is a great place to bring their kids. There is enough activities physically and just gaming to tire them out and have a great time. You also don't feel fearful of your children running off or getting lost. They provide a food area to lunch and dinner. They have at least 2 full bars for the adualts. The staff is very accommodating and nice. Its a great way to just go out and hang some where with our without your kids. read more

Well I went here on a first date and acted like a teenager. We played air hockey and kissed on the mini golf course and ran around collecting tokens. That made it fun. There is a lot to do here., especially for the kids, a massive Dave and busters esque but with out the cool factor, this place could keep a large family entertained for hours at a time. Its huge and a little shabby looking, and the machines kept breaking which is funny when you are an adult but I'm sure much more annoying when you are a kid. I went here Sunday for a birthday party my kids were invited to. The staff seemed very attentive to the parents of the birthday boy. Everyone was fitted correctly for bowling shoes, and the staff seemed to police the bowling lanes to the best of their abilities considering there were about 15 kids ages 6-9. The pizza looked tasty, and the little sliders for the adults were decent. I would give 4 stars, but they shut the adult lane down half way through the game cuzz time expired. read more

Went here for a work "retreat". I honestly wasn't expecting anything great, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had here. There's tons of stuff to do for everyone (laser tag, bowling, pool, video games, mini golf, etc.), and they actually have a pretty decent bar. Great place to have fun with friends and family. Can be packed sometimes where there is nothing available except glow golf and arcade, usually Friday's and weekends. But best part is the rock climbing, if you active and would like a good fun workout I highly recommend this as you will be sore and break a good sweat. The glow gulf is fun but once you've done it once you really have no interest to do it again. The laser tag is awesome when there is a big group, watch out for the little kids they can be cheaters and have their vests inside out so you can't tag them. Never done the bowling it's always full when I go. The shuffle board is fun and the bowling. The arcade is lame. Basically a cut down mediocre version of Dave and busters games, literally played every game they had within an hour, even Peter piper has more Games. If your starving and need a bite the foods ok, but if your looking for a good meal worth the price i suggest coming here on a full stomach. Last time they messed up our order and took forever to serve us. Ended up just going to the pizza bar. $9 Monday's are the best. Worth it for the rock climbing and laser tag. read more

I dutifully go to to Chuck E. Cheese at least 15 times a year because I have a 6 and a 3 year old. I am so thankful this is a great alternative to it. Yes, you pay a bit more, but you can have your child's birthday party be kid-friendly bowling, rock-climbing, laser tag or putt-putt golfing along with the games and prizes from their ticket games. They take care of everything with the pizza, drinks, plates, party coordinator, etc. I actually had my small 37 year-old bday party celebration here with my wife and kids. I had a blast. Their happy hour nachos and wings are cheap and tasty! I also have booked some team building events for my company here. My employees always have a blast and the value is there even if it isn't cheap. Having a bar, pool table, and shuffle board table are also nice for a change of pace. read more

I love Main event, I go their very frequently with my friends. I noticed that when we are at bowling lane, service for food is awesome. Guys near that area provide food early. But I have noticed near billiards, there is one guy assigned but last time when I went out with my friends, nobody to take order. Bar near billiards section was the nearest and I guess was appropriate place to order. Nobody was responding on or scream to give them my order. Man I tell you that was frustrating. We had my son's birthday party there last night. We chose to get the Teen and Tween package. On the higher end of my budget but so well worth it! Staff greeted us at the door and were friendly and helpful. Service was spot on, negotiating 9 excited kids plus adults with finese. Stayed on schedule and got us to our events quickly and patiently. The kids food was ok except for the chicken quesadilla that was really good. I ordered some apps from the "adult" menu that were fantastic. We had some problems with the game cards and management took care of it right away. Other parents were impressed and are planning their parties there too. read more

The most rude people work in the rock climbing area. If you want to have a good time just avoid that area. They talk to you like you are a complete idiot. Only come if you want to be belittled. This place is really just a glorified Chuck E. Cheese. While it does have a full bar, the bartenders are horrible, they seem like they just plucked out of their regular staff and said " Here, you get to bartend today". Even the two managers that were behind the bar while I was there clearly had no idea what was going on. They all kept taking orders in no determinable order so you might get your order taken immediately or you may not get your order taken until 3 or 4 people who walked up behind you ordered theirs. Nobody seems to have any idea of where the inventory was. It was just silly watching this group trying to bartend. I imaging this place is clearly geared towards family with younger kids to be able to go, but a little more focus on the adults who are paying the bills would be nice. My kids enjoyed the place, but I would be hard pressed to get talked into going back...ever. read more

I held my son's 8th birthday party at Main Event today. What a great venue for a party! From the minute I walked in I had stellar service. The hostess took care of everything and I did not need to lift a hand. All of the activities were very well managed and organized (bowling, laser tag, lunch and then the arcade). Our hostess was great with the kids and very friendly! The best part may have been the full-service bar which allowed the parents to also enjoy themselves and get to know each other a little better. This was by far the most stress free birthday party I've ever held. Highly recommend! One last note, the food was actually pretty good. This place has nice arcade, bowling alley, and rock wall. There are even some good deals on Monday. The bartender really took his time getting around to serving me. He was to busy chatting up the other staff members. The food is not amazing, but you don't come to a place like this for the food. Came here for my birthday with a group of around 20 and and a great time. We rented bowling lanes for a couple of hours and then spent some time in the arcade. I really appreciated the booking process at this location. As a note, you can't reserve lanes unless you book an event, which requires the full reservation fee up front. The fee is non refundable. However, the process of booking an event was quick and easy. I called in and was able to speak to an event coordinator who helped me book my lanes within a matter of minutes. When we arrived, we were greeted by our host, Jimmy, who was great. He came to check on us through out the night and I really appreciated his dedication to making sure our night was going well. While bowling, we also ordered food. Our servers gave us the options of separate checks and did a wonderful job of making sure they were all correct. Food is typical bar food. We ordered the sample platter and enjoyed the queso and wings. The drinks we ordered, however, were very slow to be received. I think that had more to do with the bartender, however, and not our server. If you are there to bowl and have a server, I would recommend going up to the bar for your drink if you're looking to replenish quickly. As far as the bar and bar staff goes, I do have a few comments. I don't know if it was just the bartender on staff that night, but I would say they could definitely use a refresher on common bar drinks. A friend, while bowling ordered a 7&7 double, and they kept sending just a shot of whiskey. When we went up to the bar, later in the night, the bartender was also unsure how to make several mixed shots/drinks that I have had no problem ordering at most other bars in the area. Also, I found the bartender to be a bit rude when we went up to the bar. When I approached the bar to order a couple of shots with some friends, we stood at the bar for several minutes without being acknowledged by bar staff. This might have been acceptable if it was a full bar, however, there was only a seated couple at the bar. At the time, I saw that one of the bartenders was actively making drinks for the servers so I didn't mind the wait. However, when a group of five girls walked up to the empty bar after we had been waiting and were served immediately, I did get a bit annoyed. What annoyed me most is that after he finished serving them, the bartender tried to skip over my group of friends again to serve another couple. I interrupted him and asked him to serve us as we had been waiting and he did so begrudgingly. Overall, Main Event is a good place to bring a large group of people because of the available space and the variety of activities. read more

They've remodeled and it looks fantastic. Pretty sure the management is new as well, and it shows in the service, which is quick and friendly. The staff is attentive and the food is quite decent. My fiancé and I don't get a lot of time to go out because of work, so we thought we might have some fun at our local main event. We started the night off with some golf and games. The mini golf course was dark and foggy (so if you aren't a big fan of that he weary) but was otherwise a lot of fun. We then went and played some games in the arcade and had a blast. All of the employees up until this point were exceptional and they were very friendly. But this changed when we went to bowl. We were bowling for 30 minutes before we received a waitress - however she only came over because we had to get her attention twice. I talked to another gentleman who was not our server and he was very nice, however both of us had to go talk to our server, Acacia. She was visibly flirting with gentleman and not paying attention to her customers. Even after we had gotten her attention the first time, she was still flirting with several different guys. The games were okay but most over $1 to play whereas another family friendly space is only one .25. I took my boys to Main Event this past weekend. We did some indoor rock climbing and my 4 year old just loved it. I really enjoyed that and playing the in the arcade with a lot of games to choose from. The bowling was a 90 minute wait and a bit dark, but we would go back for sure to play again. read more
