I came here this morning around 11:15am. Wasn't busy at all. Lots of parking spaces to choose from. They do offer drive thru. But I like the person to person connection. The lady that was inside was working on a drive thru order, so I waited until she was through. She asked if she could help me. And I told her that I was picking up a surprise Too Good To Go bag. She asked me to "tap to collect" and then "swipe the bar" and then I told her my code. She started packing up my box. She chose different flavors from her shelves. She gave me 15 donuts total. She was very nice, and fast at packing my donuts. If you're not familiar with Too Good To Go (TGTG) let me tell you about it. You can get food on a serious discount. Today I used TGTG to get 15 donuts. From Shipley's for $5.99! What a great deal. My donuts are a variety of glazed, and sugar, jelly filled and frosted. You don't get to choose, they pick them out. It's called a "surprise bag" My donuts are light and airy, and so soft and delicious. I'm so happy I was able to get so many for such a great discounted price. I will freeze most of these. No way I could eat them. Okay, I totally could, but just because you can, doesn't make it right. A small treat in the afternoon for the next week! I always drive past here and say I'm going to try them one day well Y'all today was that day I went in and I was greeted as soon as i came thru the door the young lady at the counter was fast, friendly and courteous. As I'm waiting to get my order, the whole time I'm thinking these donuts better taste good, I couldn't wait to get home, as soon as i got in I popped open that box grabbed that glazed donut ( I have 15 assorted) and y'all I must admit it was delicious, moist, soft and the way I like them not too sweet. I will definitely stop by again oh and the establishment is nice and clean you can sit for awhile to socialize if you like. read more

Overall, pretty good. My only gripe is regarding the staff on the weekends. A lot of high school kids, which is great. Giving young people some work experience. There's a young woman who's always professional and competent. And there's a young man who's been there for years, and he's a great employee too. He usually works the window for obvious reasons. But there's one or two other young males who are absolute morons. It's clear the window kid is picking up all the slack for the other kid. He rings me up and calls out my order (correctly) and then 50% of the time the other kid gets it wrong. If the owner is reading this, I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. You've got one kid goofing off while the window kid does all the work. Fire the screw up kid and give the other kid a raise. I'm sure he could do his job AND the other kid's job. The donuts are always delicious, but on the weekend, you might want to go inside instead of the drive thru so you can watch the moron and make sure he doesn't get your donuts wrong. read more

Came in here because most other donut places are closed on Mondays for some reason. I'm glad to have found this place. The people were super nice to us. Picked up 3 donuts, 3 kolaches, a french vanilla cappuccino and some donut holes. Everything was good but the original glazed donut holes were definitely our favorite. The service was really fast. Tried shipleys for the first time because my kiddo really wanted it, it was ok but wouldn't spend my money here again... glazed donuts are yummy! The sausage kolache was weak ( was expecting warm soft bread with decent size sausage) but got like warm kinda tough bread and the sausage was like and skinny like throwing a hot dog down a hallway ‍ lol thennn I ordered two bullseye which I thought was chocolate glazed donuts with sprinkles And whip but it wasn't it was blue icing on one and pink icing on the other? This location just opened but the fritters and donuts taste like you would expect from Shipley's. The staff was happy and very busy, but were running low on certain items for being 8:30 am. However, we checked it again today since it is within walking distance of my home and it was well stocked. A good start to a new location and glad we have a family policy of once a month. read more

I've been putting off making a review of Shipley's for years. I honestly don't know why anyone comes here. The one time I got an iced coffee here I had to throw it right in the trash. It was cloyingly sweet and disgusting. The apple fritters are a joke as well. Also, if someone asks for 3 donut holes (in a drive through where no menu is visible), who the heck interprets that as 3 bags of donut holes? They don't give you an itemized receipt to check against either. If you want good donuts go to crown donuts across the street. As a bonus they have the best apple fritters I think I've ever had. Great little place for a quick bite of coffee and donuts (and maybe diabetes too). Their prices are great. Their mocha cappuccino was pretty tasty! The donut holes were kind of delicious but dry and cold for my liking, however they didn't coat my mouth with a weird oily feeling like some donut glazes do. A family member of mine loves Shipley's, so I was hoping to buy her a gift certificate for Christmas. Unfortunately, the employee informed me they do not sell gift certificates. The employee acted polite, so I don't blame her, but I do blame management. I imagine gift certificates cost only pennies to print, so what excuse do they have? Even moreso after I did my taxes and reviewed my year-end summary. To be fair, I work about 1 minute walk away, but still... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The staff here are friendly and efficient. Never make me feel bad about paying a $2.25 tab with my credit card, and the lines are always moving. Coffee is decently brewed and piping hot, and donuts are yummy. What else do you need in a Shipleys? Just a heads up, I didn't see any posted prices or menus in the drive through, so if you don't know what you want, go inside. read more

This is what a yeast donut is all about. everything here is the best in my honest opinion. I would literally do some horrible things to get shipleys in seattle. The reason for the review is this: tell the girl at the window that this old white lady speaks Spanish just fine. It's rude to arrogantly assume a different language lets you gossip about anything in the workplace because almost everyone won't understand you. KOLACHE REVIEW: This donut shop is conveniently right by Casa Shoehead, so I don't have to roll out of bad that far to ingest these yummy kolaches. They were pretty big, which is a plus. I had a Texas sausage kolache, and a sausage and jalapeno kolache, They were decent, but lacked the subtle sweetness of other kolaches I've had. Reasonably priced and filling, these doughy treats were somewhat reminiscent of oversize pigs-in-a-blanket. (Not that that's a bad thing.) I'm giving the kolaches a 3 1/2 star rating, but because the staff was so friendly and quick, I'll display it as a 4-star. I had heard about how awesome Shipley Donuts were but just never had a chance to try them. After my second failed attempt (kept forgetting they close early), I finally made it to this one on a Friday morning. Their donuts are fantastic. I hate filled donuts, but the Bavarian one sounded really good and it was, indeed, quite good. I bought them all to go (3 different kinds of kolaches, 1 sugar donut, 1 chocolate, 1 sugar twist, and 1 Bavarian filled). My mom ate half of a Bavarian and half of a chocolate, which was good cause I was able to test them both out. There must be something in the flour or breading because the taste of the donut was fantastic. It wasn't overly sweet like Krispy Kreme's (am I the only person who remembers when they came into town and the line for that place stretched till 3 in the morning?) And it wasn't dry or bland like other donuts. Kolaches were also good, but I felt that the sausage ones should have tasted more like say Rudy's sausage and not like a hot dog wiener. Now THAT would've been the best thing ever. The cheese in the kolaches were nice and melted, even after mine had cooled. Pros: -Parking is good, but I don't imagine it would be in the earlier morning hours. -Donuts are awesome -Kolaches are pretty good -Prices can't be beat for donuts made fresh every day with that kind of quality taste Cons: -Sausage in kolaches could have been more sausage-y and less hot-dogy -I get my biggest craving of donuts in the afternoon and it sucks that they're only open till 2. I'm so pissed off at this place. If you want to get your order right don't go threw the drive thru. They ALWAYS get the order wrong! It's so out of the way of my house to when I get home and notice they forget something I go there for in the first place it really pissed me off. Some advice check your food before you drive off threw the drive way. I did call and tell them about this and wanted me to drive allllllll the way back to get it. I seriously heart Shipley's! I was so excited when I found out this place was opening near my house. Not exaggerating, I drove past it everyday waiting for it to open. I love their original glazed donuts. They are kind of unique as far as I know, a yeast based dough that causes them to be pretty light and airy. Upon picking it up, you'd think it would be heavy but once you bite into it you're greeted with a light interior that is just GREAT! Although I wish they sold skim milk but 2% will do. Now as you can see I love their donuts, but my heart belongs to the kolaches. I love them! Like getting a kolache anywhere else is like cheating on Shipley's to me. They tend to have different fillings depending on where they are located. For the longest I thought there were only 4 varieties (ham and cheese, sausage, sausage and cheese, and jalapeno sausage and cheese) but boy was I surprised when this location opened. First off, these have egg....EGG! I honestly wasn't aware there were more varieties but I haven't traveled to many Shipley's locations to find out. There's even a location in Houston that has boudin & cheese kolaches! I stalk that place whenever I'm in town trying to get one of those babies. But I digress... I love Shipley's! I stay up late to get my fix from this place. I pass up other places to go here for donuts and kolaches and I've got no problem telling folks I do. read more
