From what I gather, this is a more family-friendly version of Dave and Busters. I dropped in just to play some games with a kid, so I have no idea what the food/drinks are like. When we arrived, laser tag was booked up for the next couple of hours, so I'd suggest going early or during an off-peak time to make some of the extras happen. We had a coupon, so I'd suggest also signing up for their mailing list or checking out the website for deals before going. Some of the games are pretty pricey individually, so you definitely want to get a deal if possible. It felt like you get your card and it's just a free for all. It's real simple. Cool place, service is slow and it sucks. The servers bribe you to get certain things and pay it with cash. I was asked several times to get a boneless/traditional wings and fries for $15 cash only. I declined twice and asked for a shot of patron. First time visit here. It's a very nice establishment. I'm not sure what was happening as I was walking in but the security guard was yelling and cussing at a female as she was getting kicked out. He continues to follow her outside and continues a yelling match with her and they're in each others faces and it keeps escalating. Personally, I don't think he was handling the situation professionally. That was literally my first impression as I walked in this place for the very first time. After we checked in and got our shoes, we were greeted by a very nice young lady who explained where everything is located and if we needed any help, she'd be there for us. Super sweet and very professional. I really enjoyed our time bowling. I like that all of the balls are sectioned by weight. That is a huge lifesaver. They are color coordinated by weight. Loved that! It was easy to find a ball that I could use. It's $37 for an hour for up to 5 people. That reasonable. I will be returning here for sure :) read more

I can't believe it took me this long to visit. I've heard so many mixed reviews about Main Event, which kind of detoured me from visiting right away. I was invited to come out on a Thursday afternoon...I believe it was about 3 pm. There were like four cars in the parking lot, which I'm pretty sure the cars belong to the employees, therefore if you aren't up for a big crowd I would advise coming on a weekday. The group of people I was with was on a job outing, so they had a room reserved. I sat at the bar, and received excellent service from the bartender (Sharon...I believe). She suggested that I try the wings (sweet Asian sauce) and fries, which I wasn't disappointed at all. The bartender also informed me about certain entrees that you receive $10 on a game card, which I thought was great and the entree I selected was one of the ones listed for this promotion. I also ordered a peach Ciroc mixed with pineapple juice. It was very good! I played a couple of games, especially the race car games. I really do believe in my former life I was a race car driver...lol. I bore easily, so after a couple games I was ready to go, but I will definitely visit again. read more

I recently attended a 7 year old's birthday party, and left irate on behalf of the host and the way our group was treated. The party included food, games and laser tag. In fact, it was a "Laser Tag Party" according to the invitation. After food and cake, Main Event staff excitedly told the kids it was time to go play laser tag. They were escorted to an entrance where staff lined them up single-file. At this time we realized that each child had to be 48 inches tall to enter and play. An employee proceeded to make each child stand and be measured, and 3 of the 12 children were actually TURNED AWAY for being just shy of the height requirement. As they were turned away and saw their friends going into the laser tag entrance, tears welled in their eyes as they ran sobbing into their parents' arms. I have never seen anything like it. Obviously upset, they were told they would get an extra game card while all their friends played laser tag, which did nothing to help the situation. When I expressed my dismay at the way the children were treated to the manager, he at first said, "The sales staff would have told the party hosts about the possibility that children may or may not be able to do laser tag." I'm sorry, but I seriously doubt my friend would have knowingly paid for a laser tag party that excluded some children. The manager also said that the height requirement was for safety, since adults could knock over some children. However, the only people part of the group was our party and one group of 9-10 year old boys. At the very least, I told the manager that they needed to think of a better way of determining who meets the height requirement than lining children up like the Gestapo and turning children away in front of everyone at the door! If you have a policy about height that's fine, but you have to communicate BEFORE you take someone's money for a "laser tag party," and certainly before you tell the kids it's time to play. read more

Had a great night being a kid and going crazy on the games. Went with my boyfriend and we hit two jackpots. The games are mix of skill and luck. Most games are $1.50... Not the cheapest but most of the games were up and running well. There was staff around that would fix a game if it acted up and to give you credit back on the card. Fun night overall. read more

Made our first visit to Main Event on a rainy Thursday night. The place offers it all, full bar, extensive dining menu, billiards, bowling, arcade games, ropes course, and laser tag! The issues here unfortunately come down to staffing. The front desk situation is confusing, we waiting in line to ask how to be seated for dining. There should be clear signage that you seat yourselves. From the time we were greeted by our server to the time we received our meals was an hour. We weren't provided silverware or napkins. After asking for silverware, the server brought two sets for the four of us. The food itself was great, except for the fish. The fish was not a as described, it had to be frozen. The games were in working order, with the exception of the NBA hoops basketball game. It seems as though the basketballs from multiple games were all at one machine. The kids loved the laser tag area, unfortunately they had to play 1v1 because by the time we were finally done with dinner it was late and everyone else had left. With a little attention to detail and proper management this place could be epic. read more

On our way out my wife stop and get a soda. She asked me to get her a refill on her root beer because she was pregnant and could not have cafeen. The root beer was out of syrup so I tell the lady behind the counter and she says "ill get someone to do it." She did not. Then I go to the bar and ask if they can do it. They fill it up with just soda water. Then I come back to the woman that told me she would do it and a manager was there and he said he would do it after he got done with this customer. I am honestly hoping that I will be able to return in the future and update this review. I do believe it is slightly unfair to review a place that has only been open a couple of weeks, but it is what it is and hopefully things will change for the better over time. To start, this concept is fantastic! Much like a Dave & Busters, Main Event has an arcade area, bowling, laser tag, a bar and restaurant, pool tables, a rope course, all sorts of fantastic options. They even have meeting rooms should you want to hold an event or team building training there. My group of 9 arrived to find a very lively atmosphere. It reminded me of the food court at the mall. Lots of people chatting and laughing and wandering around. We purchased our tickets with counter staff that didn't have any idea what the answers to our questions were. We got the bulk pass that allows you unlimited bowling and laser tag, only to ask them how to sign up for lanes or laser tag and them answering 'oh, I don't know that'. Fantastic. Your trainer left you at the desk with 30 plus people checking in and you not knowing the answers to probably the most basic questions. Not a good sign. We went to the bar/restaurant to eat and were greeting by fantastic staff. Our server, I believe her name was Shears or something similar, she was fantastic. She was serving quite a few tables but never missed a beat. Receiving drinks was a little slow, but that's honestly no surprise when you have bartenders with a full bar. The food was fantastic. We got two pizzas, chips and queso/salsa/guac, pretzels with beer cheese, and a triple decker quesadilla. All of it was delicious for a restaurant in an games venue. Our server even continued to serve us when we closed out and moved to the bowling lanes. **Be aware, you can order food and take it to the lanes, but you must close out your tab at the restaurant and open a new tab at the lanes.** Bowling was a blast. You are allotted an hour to play, so that could potentially mean more than one game depending on the size of your group. Their system, like most, is completely digital, but I found it much easier to use than other alleys. The bowling shoes were velcro, not laced, which was interesting. Bowling shoes were received at the main check in counter. Our biggest issue was when we went to play laser tag. The computers went out for the game prior to ours, meaning our game was going to start late. No big deal to us as long as we still got our fifteen minutes (yes, I know). Unfortunately, we played for only 4 minutes before they ended the game and had us all come back out so the next group could go in. The supervisor apologized profusely and told us that he would get us cards to do some of the arcade games (we never received those). One of our group asked if we could join the group going in after us so that we could get our full 15 minutes. After some deliberation, we joined that group, only to have the same supervisor flip out and yell at our group when we were inside. Mind you, if you've ever been in the starting area of laser tag, it's dark and there is quite a lot of noise. We were not being disrespectful, but we also could not hear him. He lost his cool and threatened to kick us out if we didn't listen. I manage a hotel for a living, so I completely understand having guests or patrons that you just don't enjoy dealing with. But that guest or patron should never know they are driving you insane. Especially as a leader in an establishment. The three young men who were working laser tag were wonderful. But Jay, the clear leader in this location, was totally out of line. I ultimately spoke with a manager named Aaron who was very understanding but also undertrained. In speaking with him, I discovered that Jay was a trainer sent from another store...meaning that this kid is clearly good at his job or else ME wouldn't have sent him...so I was appalled to know that he's that trusted and yet cannot control his emotions. Honestly, the server and the three kids that were working laser tag were the only saving grace for their staff. They definitely have a lot of work to do in order to efficiently handle the sheer number of people they will be seeing on a regular basis. This place has a ton of potential and I look forward to returning in a few months and hopefully will be able to update my review to be more content with the service. But if you are hoping for a good experience during their first couple of months, just know that it will be hit or miss. They have amazing staff and they have some not so great ones. Let's start with the positives nice ambiance, many things to enjoy to waste/burn time, clean facility, and friendly staff. Now the only negatives: the food is way too expensive and alienates the choice of wanting to buy food. Main event can be hypocritical with their promotions don't come on a Monday that a holiday falls on because when they say all day they make you pay extra cause the deal expired. Making two transactions is inconvenient ,and if your going to charge me extra, reword your deal and turn it into one transaction with the combined price. This my reasoning behind three stars. Main Event is certainly huge with something for kids of all ages. There's a bar with a couple of local brews on tap (yay 21+ club!), bowling, billiards, arcade games, and a climbing space.There's a pizza place on top of the venue's main restaurant and open space for parties. The party space would have been better enclosed, but Main Event is a spot to be in the mix.What this place doesn't have is great customer service. In a venue this size, I don't know how it could really be great, but I'm not even sure what I saw was good. there are plenty of employees walking around, and they don't appear to be idle. We ordered queso and came out in an okay time given the crowd. Once out it took more time than we would have liked to pay our bill. The server was nice, but we had to flag him down for things as simple as napkins.We had the same issue at the bowling lane. Speaking of the bowling lanes, if you are going to just bowl you need to reserve the maximum time you think you will want the lane. We reserved one hour ,and right as we decided we would play another round an attendant told us we had to move to cater to the next reservation in line. Apparently, if we wanted another round we would have to wait about 2 hours to be next. I totally get why we had to move. That's the only way to ensure the waitlist moves smoothly. What I didn't like is that the staff never mentioned that was the process when we reserved online or when we checked in. So it felt abrupt and somewhat rude. We were moved to lounge seats that were close to the lanes. Soon after the server after moved us she brought our bills. We probably would have bought more drinks and snacks, but we paid cause we were already kinda sour about being moved. When we paid the server lingered over us until we signed our receipts. That really irked me. That shouldn't have been the most efficient part of my experience. All and all this place offers a lot of fun with okay service. Maybe it was because we were there on a Sunday or because the place is really new. Not sure, but I'd go again with an attitude that I need to just be patient and expect some delays. read more

Came on a Thursday. Not very busy but that was expected since it's a weekday. You have to schedule when you bowl, laser tag, or rope climb. The staff pays no attention to when your "event" is supposed to start & when asked what we should do at our assigned time we were told "you will go when I am ready". Staff is very rude. They all seem to hate working there. When cashing out my tickets I wasn't aware that you could walk around & personally grab the things you want. I asked what all I could get with 1,147 tickets and my response was a dry "anything under 1,148 tickets." Games all felt sticky. I will not return. read more

I absolutely do not recommend this place. We took our students there for our senior trip and everyone there (except Joe) was super rude towards us. Upon arrival someone made a racial remark towards our group (not sure if they were an employee or not, but they were standing behind the counter talking), and for the remainder of our time there we did not feel welcomed at all. The food area was completely disgusting with trash everywhere and the floor, tables, and soda fountain all sticky. On top of that, the food wasn't even that good. It was a very disappointing eating experience to say the least. We watched throughout our time there, and it was over 3 hours before an employee ever went and cleaned off the area where we ate. We had to move around and throw away trash when we ate, so who knows how long it had been before the area had been previously cleaned. It was disappointing our students had to deal with this place for part of their senior trip and we wished we had looked into it better beforehand. Our school absolutely will not go back to this place again, and I will be sure to tell anybody who asks that they should not go to this place either. Drove over 3 hrs to Memphis for the spring fling fun deal. Only to wait in line fooorreeeevvver and the 16 yr old hostess tells my group " oh we aren't honoring that tonight". I was way too upset to even stay. The bowling is over priced and that was the main point of taking the kids. Their first time and our first time. Possibly our last time and will definitely be advising other families from our state not to waste their time or gas.. unless you go expecting to spend upwards of 50.00 to frickin bowl. I wouldn't have minded paying for the laser tag separately, but anger. I also went expecting to pay a pretty penny for the activities in ADDITION to the spring fling thing.. overall, it was a huge disappointment and doubt I'd be making that trip again. read more

My boyfriend & I visited last night briefly. It's like a Dave & Busters. The bar area is way too small. There are 6 pool tables in the bar area surrounded by tables and a few booths. It's impossible to shoot pool without poking the person behind you with the stick. Children run all through this area. It's a great spot for children but horrible for adults read more

I'm not sure what I should've expected on a Saturday night. But it was very crowded and unorganized. The setup could've definitely been better. If looking to play pool, the area is crowded and it's way too much traffic by the tables. Overall for about 15 mins spent circling the parking lot, 15 mins on the inside lost without very much assistance and an hour spent playing pool. It was the best 25.00 I spent. The place is amazing and new and clean with plenty of things to do. Took a bunch of elementary aged kids on a half day and it wasn't too crowded. Bowled and ate. Problem is that it seems they should have spent another few weeks training staff before it opened. We had a brand new waiter who was kind but didn't know what he was doing. Food was slow to come out and we felt like we were repeating orders over and over. Checks were messed up when we received them and had to be reprinted. I went for a night of fun with friends, and the food service is what first murdered the experience. I payed $17 for a burger fries and a drink, and it was decent, but definitely not worth $17. I probably wouldn't have minded the price, but the service was bad and you felt like you were asking the whole world of someone if you even requested a refill- AND WE WERE ONE OF THE ONLY GROUPS THERE! Took my little sister there, she forgot where she put her bag, which had money and her phone in it, when we went to the front disk and one of the employee found it and turned it in. I went with my son, daughter in law and 5 year old grandson for the first time Sunday, August 21st. The games were very over priced but at least my grandson was having fun. The bad was the customer service we did not receive. My daughter in law and I went to the bar to get drinks, but we sat at the bar with no one else at the bar while the manager talked up one of his co workers and the bartender (as other reviews have stated) acted like he was on drugs. He totally ignored us, but after 15 minutes another guy walked up and he immediately waited on him. He never even acknowledged us so we went to the pizza shop and got soft drinks from a very nice young woman. She was the only person in the entire place who knew anything or was polite. I could have burned up $200 in a lot better ways and had a lot more fun. If they want to keep the business I would suggest you hire real customer service people. read more

I'm giving two stars instead of one because it looks like it would be cool if it was functional. We went at 3:00 on a Sunday, which was our first mistake. The girl at the door said that the Gravity Ropes had an hour wait, but everything else was open. That was fine - we just wanted to bowl and get some drinks. We walk up to the bowling counter and find out that it would be $50 for two people to bowl for an hour, and there was a 45 minute wait. The woman at the counter was rude and inattentive. We thought about getting some snacks to wait it out, but there were no servers. We then tried to play some arcade games, but wee not able to get tokens. Two of the 10 token machines were open (It looked like a third was supposed to be open, but a group of unsupervised 10 year olds were screwing with it and made it freeze.) Both of the other machines had huge groups of teenagers struggling to figure them out. Note that all of these machines are next to a group of five employees who do nothing to help. We stood in that line for 10 minutes before leaving. read more

I don't know if it is because they are new or it is just how they run their business, but I am not impressed. They aren't selling the special deal they had advertised today, two hour wait to bowl, no pizza in the pizza restaurant are just a few of the problems we encountered. Worst was the two separate lines to purchase bowling and laser tag. To purchase the laser tag you have to go back to the "trade in your tickets" area which is called the Winner's Choice. There we were in line with over 20 people with one person checking us out. But they had two girls standing in the toy area doing nothing. Made no sense. It took us over 30 minutes to buy tickets for laser tag. We will not be back for a long time. read more

The facility is nice but the service was horrible. We arrived mid afternoon and it was busy but not overwhelming. We sat at an empty high top table in the bar area without acknowledgement. We then saw there was an electronic kiosk that you can place orders but not initial bar drinks, specials etc as these must come from the server. So we ordered a soda to get someone to the table who seemed annoyed when we the asked about ordering bar drinks. When we asked about their craft or local beer she said it was whatever was on the menu & we pointed out the menu says to ask your server. She rolled her eyes but went to ask the bartender who confirmed the options. We then confirmed when we wanted food we would need to order from her not the kiosk. We didn't see her again so ordered appetizers from the kiosk. When they were brought out we asked about refills on the soda and they said they would find our waitress. She never showed up. Finally after all drinks and appetizers were empty for a considerable time we ordered another soda for one of the kids from the kiosk to have the waitress return and was finally able to order food and get the soda refilled. When the food came we had no plates, napkins or silverware so asked the person dropping the food & he said he would get them. He didn't return, we saw our waitress walk past and asked her and she told us yes in a moment. As the food was starting to get cold I finally went and asked at the bar. Neither the original person or the waitress returned to drop anything off. As we finished we stopped the waitress to ask how we get the free play cards which she said come from her & asked if we were ready and we said yes. Almost 20 min later we had to ask for them again. We also finally got a soda refill. No dirty dishes were cleared at any point. We then ordered another bar drink from the kiosk (waitress was no where to be seen and kiosk allows reorders) 15 min later no drinks. We flag down the waitress who says she will check. Sometime later she is out wiping down tables and still no drinks. We then grabbed what looked like a manager to ask. We finally get the drink from the waitress 5 min later. The waitress then comes with the bill (we assumed there was a shift change as we had just gotten drinks and didn't ask or were asked about it). We paid and the waitress again rolled her eyes when we adjusted the 20% default tip on the kiosk. We could not get anyone to get us soda refills after that but the waitress was still on the floor serving so not sure why we were asked to close out. We were ordering appetizers, entrees and drinks along with game play combos so it was not as though we were just sitting asking for soda refills and had a substantial bill at the end. The kids have fun but it was fustrating for the adults. It was even more fustrating that a person who appeared to be a manager just stood behind the bar in front of the kitchen area never helping on the floor and watching it all happen. read more

Lisa was amazing love her!!! Bowling was awesome for was good but after bowling we went to Billards and didn't play but for 10 mins then had to go to lazar tag . We get there and Mr Bret wants to take to paper out of my hand I. A very rude way where my family got upset , the game was not explained nor how to place on equipment and the rule was never discussed the. After that my family left and my boyfriend and I stayed he wanted wings it took 1 hour to revive his wing..
