This place is extremely over priced. They are very misleading with their pricing policy. Wait times for events ( like laser tag and gravity ropes) is really long in hopes to get you to spend money in the arcade. Slice of pizza is 4.50! It isn't even good. Even if you can manage to get a pass, you still have to sign up for times that could be 5 hours away!!! I will say it is clean and well staffed. It is not worth the money. read more

I think this place is way overpriced. Came here with a friend on a Saturday night and it was packed, and all of these children running around, even until late evening hours. We waited for 20 minutes to bowl and because it was only two of us, we paid close to $50 just to bowl for ONE hour, which is insane. Yes the bowling lane comes with different animations on the screens and there are big screens all around, but I did not feel like I received the value of the price I paid. We ordered drinks, which were watered down and not that tasty. The food was also overpriced. We ate dinner before we came (after reading bad reviews about the food) with hopes of grabbing dessert and drinks, and most of the desserts were at least $8 for very small portions. The waitress was nice but I hate that she was spraying down tables and wiping them next to other tables with foods and drinks on them. We also played some of the games, which I also felt like we barely got anything for the amount that we put on the fun-card. This place was not worth the price. You have to pay 29 dollars to bowl for an hour and it doesn't matter how many people you have. We got loaded Fries and it was not worth the price. The loaded fries were small and only fed one person. The gravity ropes were a joke. There is no supervision on the line so kids were just budding the line. The place is too small and over price. We headed up talking to an manager to get our money back for the gravity ropes. The staff are nice but it was under staff and not worth the price. They showed attitude towards me and didn't even bother to take out headphones while working. Also, the rope course was a little dangerous in my opinion. I like coming during "off-peak" hours to avoid the crowds, although laser tag is better with groups. Expect to pay at least $27 for arcade games. I mostly enjoy the zip line and sky rope course, which has a minimum height requirement of 48 inches. Haven't tried the food yet, but the bar/billiard pool table side looks fun for adults. Air hockey is also fun, but about $1.50 per game, making this place seem a bit on the pricey side, but comparable to Dave & Busters. Beautiful, brand new bowling alleys too! read more

This place is HORRIBLE. and when i say horrible i mean it. We bought a bowling lane for an hour, we waited for a server for about 20 minutes as she proceeded to walk passed us multiple times. We then asked people for our server 4 times and not a single time did she come. she then comes to us 10 minutes before our game is over and tells us that we can no longer order due to the fact we only have 10 minutes so it's too late to open our tab. well considering we waited a whole hour for our server no shit we don't have enough time. I waved my hand, said excuse me, nothing. I watched her serve about 3 people before me who came after me. She laughed, joked, whatever. Looked like they were having a better time then us, finally my gf waved & yelled for service and she came along and asked us what we wanted with a huge attitude. when we told her...she handed us the wrong drink. We then told her it wasn't right, she told us they didn't have it. (Mind you we ordered 2 wood ford reserve with coke which we had been drinking all night.) so we asked her, if they didn't have it, then what were they giving us thus whole time ? After asking her coworker she realized she was wrong and proceeded to only pour the bourbon in a cup by itself... no coke.. no ice.. so we had to specify the drink.... AGAIN!!!!! If I could give less stars I would. My very well behaved children were told to get off of the zip lines before their time was up bc they weren't using the equipment properly. I asked them to check the cameras because I'm sure that was incorrect. The staff in the restaurant was very inattentive. They really need to get real honey mustard and not call the pub mustard honey mustard as well. I asked that the chicken tenders be taken off of the check and they did but was disappointed they did not at least offer a replacement. I was waiting with my group, it was my mom as our chaperone, we waited in line for an hour and then we got to the front entrance and they told us that my mom could only have 4 minors under 21 to b able to go with us we were 2 people over the limit. We were so upset we just left. Meanwhile everyone in our group is 20... we are known as adults like why after 9pm it's 21 and over but u guys have minors that r under 21 playing games even after 9pm. First time visiting from out of state, first impression was that it looked really cool and getting into ran smoothly. The bathroom was pretty gross, you couldn't have paid me to clean it. With almost 10 stalls, at least 7 were left in a disgusting state. I let a staff member know and then went to the bathroom again and it was still gross. Then eating at their restaurant and we were sat within 20 minutes, had the chicken tenders to do the food and tokens deal. Games were fun, some of them took your money and didn't work. I was very excited about the new opening because Delaware doesn't have much going on. The organization was horrible for a new establishment I would suggest once more people are on staff to have them on the floor to route people where to go. You have 3 different locations to pay for separate things. They should have a place where you can reserve bowling or zip lines. The special was sold out as well. To put more money on a card you have to pay $2 every time. The staff was quite rude as well. We came here on a date night! We live about 40 minutes south of here and needed a couple hours to ourselves! We are amazed with the friendliness of the bartenders Kristyn and Annie! Fast and friendly. Chris the bar back was working extremely fast while still being congenial. My husband loves sports so he had something to shoot the breeze with for a couple minutes. Beer was cold and wings were very tasty. They are a little small and blue cheese dressing was watered down, but other than that we had a wonderful experience! Only small thing is that we had made a reservation and when we told the lady upfront she was going to make us wait in line because after one look she could not find the reservation. I will start with yes, I understand it's a Saturday night. But... the bathrooms are atrocious. Wet floors and no TP. The worst is the bar. Apparently the bartenders have the bar sectioned off. If you order from a bartender not in your section she tells you to wait for the other bartender. I was trying to pay my tab (aka giving them my money) but I asked someone who was not assigned to my section to take my money and she told me to wait for the other bartender. I should've walked away. Our poor Bartender was assigned to the walk up line as well as about 5 seats at the bar. We would wait forever to get a drink. They should have one Bartender just for the walk up line because that line was always 5-6 deep. The games were ok. Every one I noticed was $1.50 or more. We went to Main Event yesterday, reluctantly my husband went with myself and our 3 children. It was his first day off in 28 days and not really a place he wanted to go, but did for the kids. Upon entering I did NOT do my research on prices or packages, but the gentleman at the front was very nice and patient. We ended up getting the $20 unlimited arcade gameplay for each kid and then $20 per kid for the ropes/laser tag - $120 spent! We found our way over to the sign-up area to reserve our times for the ropes/laser tag. This was disappointing because we had to wait 2 1/2 - 3 hours for these activities. The kids played arcade games and we went to the bar for a drink. Then they did the laser tag and had a great time! 1/2 hour later they lined up for the ropes course. A few minutes later the kids were asked to leave the line and go see the manager. Finally, we found out that they had booked a birthday party at the same time (6:00), so anyone who booked that time could not go on the course! Needless to say, parents were not happy with the alternative option - $20 gift cards and sign up again a couple hours later. Oh heck no! We just waited 3 hours for this course spending an additional $60 to eat up the time so they could do it! I understand mistakes happen, but there has to be a better way to deal with it. Why couldn't they integrate the 6:00 people into the course? I would have been fine if they had to wait a little bit longer. But I guess this would have messed up the bookings for the rest of the night and you would have had hundreds of unhappy patrons vs the 15 or so people. I requested my entire $120 back and advised the manager we would not be back. He obliged and gave us our money back - but you can't turn back time - which is what we lost that day. Maybe when things calm down a bit, we'll go back and try the bowling, but not anytime soon! read more

We waited for about 30 minutes for someone to come take our order and the place was pretty empty so we didn't understand why it took so long. Just opened at the beginning of the month so I can imagine they are still working out the kinks. Service was a little below average might be because they only had two servers for the whole resturaunt area. Food was very good "pub" fare. Drinks were overpriced so was the food. Laser tag was great! Only a small wait. Games are priced around the same as dave and busters so I'm guessing an industry norm. Bowling was outrageously priced. $22 for ONE game. Laser tag was only $7 which is a great price. Overall I think t will be great once the kinks are worked out. This location has just opened and it shows. The staff is very eager to help, but they don't have the knowledge nor the experience to execute. I think the management should communicate and inform the customer on how to optimize their experience. It's inherently confusing, considering they offer bowling, billiards, a bar, restaurants, machine zip lining, arcades, and laser tag. Shoutout to the staff member Laura, who was incredibly patient and kind in explaining how everything worked. Got in around 8:30 after driving almost 2 hours and were hungry and ready to eat. We walk in and get asked for an id. No big deal. We get in looking for something to eat and couldn't be helped. The "hostess" if that's what you wanted to call them (there were two), couldn't seem to be bothered to seat us. We sat for half an hour without being helped. I had to stand up and ask one of the employees from the other side of the building to get someone for us to order our food. We sit for another half an hour before our waitress came and tried to take our order. She didn't seem like she knew the menu at all. The drinks were flat and had little flavor other than carbonation. The food sat in the warmer for at least 20 minutes. Their excuse was "they sent all of their kitchen staff home except two". When we were seated the entire lobby was packed so they weren't slow enough they needed to send employees home. Food was warm at best. We get done eating and wanted to do the rope course. We paid for the course and were told it was to open again at 10pm. At 10pm we were waiting to be helped at the entrance to the course. To only be told 10 minutes later that it was closed after standing there for that long. Laser tag wasn't open either when it's one of their main attractions. Half the arcade games were down or would take your credits and not let you play the game. We went to go bowling and were told that the lanes would be closed by the time we got onto a lane (mind you there were multiple lanes open). Do not recommend coming to this place. Staff couldn't be bothered to get off their phone to help the customers and nothing works. Overall the place was mediocre at best. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

We arrived after 10 pm to celebrate my sons 21st birthday. The guy at the front desk ensured us that the $20 bracelet was the best deal. We told him we wanted to eat first and would that allow us enough time to take advantage of the bracelet, he ensured us it would. After ordering our food, and eating we went over to the Laser tag which was the main thing we came for and the gate was closed and a game was just starting that they would not allow us to join, even though all the vests were not being used. This was at 12:15 am. We decided to wait for the next game to begin and went to play in the arcade. When we went back to the laser tag to play, the gentleman informed us that was the last game for the night. Now ,he says we can join in on the current game, he gave us vests and we were in there for 3 mins tops and the game was over. Some of the people in our group decided to go and try the gravity thing. They went over and were informed that it was closed as well. I'm very upset at the fact that 7 of us bought the $20 bracelet for the all you can play and didn't even get to use them, because the attractions all close an hour before the place does, and apparently bowling was all booked up for the night as well. It was a complete waste of $140. I gave it two stars because the food was good and the waiter and bartender were great!! However, I do not believe we will be returning. This was such a terrible experience it inspired me to join Yelp and write this review. It took 45 minutes even to buy the passes to get in (I later saw paramedics removing a woman who collapsed in line). Normally, I wouldn't have waited that long, but it is tough to break a promise to a 9yo. We got the full $18.95 passes which was suppose to allow unlimited bowling, laser tag and gravity ropes (bowling shoes were extra). We were told bowling had a 1 to 1.5 hour wait list, but it was actually 3 hours before we got a lane. The laser tag line took 2+ hours. After an hour, my kids got to the front of the laser tag line, but they kept taking party after party. Each laser tag session takes 10 or 15 minutes (no idea why they differed) so each time they take a group in front of you, there's another long wait. One guy in line started yelling and he was escorted out (The manager was yelling at him that he didn't have the right to yell while being taken out). My 9yo eventually got taken with a 13 & u group, but my 15yo bailed on the line after 2 hours. I was watching the gravity ropes while they were in line and the same thing was going on there, people were moving 5 feet in 30 minutes. I think the employees were actually trying, it was just such a bad system no one could do anything and all concerned were getting angry and upset. So for $90+ & spending 4 hours there, one kid got to play laser tag and we got to bowl one game. The rest of time we played the arcade games (most were $1.50 each plus there were fees to buy the card to play the games). By late afternoon it had that bad amusement park/carnival vibe where no one was having fun, parents were yelling at the kids, employees were short with each other and I couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

My visit there was a nightmare. There was no type of system for the dining area simply seat yourself. At the time of our arrival wasn't crowded at all. We ordered three of the power play meals with wings and fries that would've came with a $10 card and a app and a kids meal. It took the waiter for ever to bring our drinks. Took him for ever to acknowledge we were there. When our food arrived all wings no fries a extra set of wings. Then the food runners get our waiter and he ask what did we order again we tell him. The winds were cold and rubbery the kind of wings you get from dominoes or Pizza Hut that you have to tell them to over cook so they taste cooked. Then he comes out with someone I guess was the order executor in the kitchen we let her know here we are half way through the meal no napkins no silver ware she runs to get some took her 6 minutes returns with two and it's five people sitting at the table, went to get more never returned. We never received the fries so the same girl returned again apologized for the mess said she will still give us our $10 cards and bring us our our fries even though we ate out meal and five people had to share two napkins. She also stayed she wouldn't charge us for the cards or the fries. Bill came and not only was the things she said would be free listed but another $60 in charges. By this time I'm pissed my kids are restless because they want to play but i can't leave the table till the issues are resolved. I asked for managers 7 times and they kept saying he coming or he to busy but it was no way i was going to pay for something I didn't get. They asked for the free cards back I said how can you ask for something back that you said would be free to me for all the issues I had. Finally after 30 minutes the manager arrived and fixed all the issues took him all of 5 minutes smh I won't be returning ever. read more

First time coming here today so I read all the reviews and I got mixed ones but I thought well let's give it shot the prices for the bowling laser tag was ridiculous 36$ just for one game of bowling and 9$ for 15$ laser tag ? You only have bands on Mondays that is for 10.95 that's ridiculous.... but another reason this visit today rubbed me the wrong way there was all these young girls working mind you at where you check to see the count of your tickets on the fun-card one was eating and not being at all professional the other little girl next to her was just standing there with no smile being rude ... I know how customer service is supposed to be and if I'm paying these type of prices for one game each timeI shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable if an employee is upset or doesn't like their job. If this wasn't the case you would definitely get 3-4 stars with the good customer service but I will say there was ONE nice and polite girl that did her job well she was at the front when you walk in I give her more credit than any other employee there that was female. If you don't like your job find another one. This place is supposed to be meant for fun not rudeness. Hopefully my review doesn't scare anyone off but be warned if you get any rude employees and jacked up prices you don't feel worth it. I would not recommend going here for a drink. The customer service is really bad at the bar. Me and a friend decide to go here on a Thursday night around 11pm and did not receive any service and decide to just leave. We sat at the bar for 30 mins not once did the bartender acknowledge us and it wasn't busy the bartender decide to clean behind the counter instead of attending to us . We had to call the bartenders name multiple times once we got the bartender attention we asked him prices of different drinks his answer was I don't know I sold a lot tonight. So we decided to order two shots the bartender said okay walks away and comes back and tell us that he can't serve us anything we asked why he said because the kitchen is closed but as we are talking to him on the opposite side of the bar we notice customers receiving shots from another bartender and we ordered before them and we were at the bar before them. The staff at Pine Valley Apartments has been to Main Event on numerous occasions and every time we go its always a blast! The restaurant/bar there is fun, and the best thing about the bowling alley is that there is seating where you can be served food and drinks so you do not miss a beat! I heard this location was opening and wanted to try it out. Came here on 3/11/18 and yes it was packed, which is a good thing in a sense considering it just recently opened, it's a weekend and I'm sure everyone was here to check it out. I really liked the gravity ropes course and all the fun arcade games. The line was pretty long for laser tag so we didn't get a chance to do that and I didn't book online to reserve lanes for bowling but that was fine because I was just happy with playing the arcade games. Unfortunately, it seemed as though Main Event catered more to you if you were bowling because you had your own area to sit and hangout for awhile which is probably why you won't be able to get anything upon arrival. It's a shame because if you don't do your research ahead of time, you won't be able to get the full experience. There could be a better management of that. Also, the bar restaurant area definitely had more seating and it's only available to those patrons. Labelle pizza had a very limited number of seats which made it very hard if you made a large order. There's approximately 10 tables??? The line stretched all the way back towards the arcade floor and the tables that were filled, even if they finished eating they stayed there to have a place to keep their belongings so that was frustrating. Tables nearby were for parties only which is fine but I do feel it could've been managed much better as far as having the employees make sure seating is open to patrons that are dining. If that was the worse thing about Main Event, I'd still return because I'm sure it would improve over time. The worse thing we experienced that day was the majority of the employees. Most had an attitude when we asked for assistance with different games and things like that. I understand if it's not your job or something you're unfamiliar with, just tell the customers that you don't know but will find someone who does. Instead, they would suck their teeth and act as if we were annoying them. Customers are what's going to keep businesses open and are the reason the employees have jobs, the same jobs they chose to apply for knowing they would be working with people. I could see if I came and asked them to do open heart surgery, yes that would give them every right to think I was crazy but I simply asked about certain games or ticket machines that have malfunctioned. I did not expect anyone to magically turn into an expert on how to fix the machines but I did expect better customer service to help rectify the issue. There simply wasn't much effort put into it. I know that it was busy and there were numerous issues at hand but no one resolved the issue. If that was done for every customer that day then I guess Main Event won't be open that long. Everyone pays just like the next person, even if I didn't spend a lot that day, who's to say I haven't or won't spend more during a different visit. My family and I had a great time during our visit from the moment we walked in but it wasn't until the end where something as simple as someone's attitude towards us, made us leave feeling frustrated and not wanting to return. I really hope over time these issues really improve, especially when it comes to the staff. They should know and/or be trained to deal with complex situations in an extremely fast paced environment and properly handoff customer escalations instead of ditching them. I would definitely like to come back moreso during the week when it may be a little less crowded but I will definitely pay more attention to how the staff treats us. Today, 10/13, I visited the location in Newark, Delaware. I purchased 2 tickets for the zip line. Not until AFTER I purchased the tickets was I advised hat it was a 1 hour wait. My entry time was 6:20 pm. At 6:10, I want to ask the ticket person what I needed to do and she was so unhelpful. Barely opened her month to answer my question. So we got in line. At 6:50 pm, we are still waiting in line with 4 people ahead of us. It is so unorganized. We are not getting any directions or instructions and if you someone all you get is attitude!!
