Stay away from this place. A group of 8 of us all payed 10.77 each for the unlimited bowling, laser tag, and pool. We were there for a little over an hour and each had two drinks from the bar before the manager comes by and tells us we are all cut off. So we walked over to him and asked for an explanation and all he could do was had us a business card. Between the bar and paying for the unlimited ticket, it was a waste of money. Didn't even get to finish a full game of bowling and the manager would not explain his decision and was rude. I will never go back to main event ever again and if you want to be treated fairly and have a good time, you will avoid this place too. Me and my friends come here a lot. We love to bowl and play pool. We usually have a good time, and as much as we like to play laser tag, but this is not the place for it. People run around while the people who are working there don't seem to care. My girlfriend got knocked over by a group of people running at full Sprint. Went on a Thursday not busy took the bartenders very long to notice we were waiting to order drinks. The bartenders looked like they hated their jobs and had no training in customer service. Went a second time on a different occasion giving them the benefit of the doubt, took just as long to be acknowledged and once they did nothing about their attitudes had changed. One of them actually carded me only out of the group and stated that females are worse than males? Even though everyone in the group was legal and about the same age. Bad service. Bad attitudes. Terrible customer service. Waited at a table for 30 minutes before a server took our order. Food showed up with out drinks. Then bowled for an hour and shut off. We were told to put our names on the wait list at which time we were told it's a 2 hour wait. There were 7 empty lanes at this time and we were told we still had to wait. I hate to see wasted potential like this. I really do. This place has so many things going for it, and is a very fun place overall. But the maintenance leaves much to be desired. Very often the machines in the game room malfunction, unfortunately, they never fail to deduct from your game card. You can alleviate this problem by bringing this to their attention, but it's a hassle doing this. The bowling is rather expensive to boot, and the prizes for points or "tickets" as some games call them, could be better (though on par with other places like this). With all of that aside though, it is a very fun place. There are plenty of things to do, from laser tag to arcades, to playing pool. It is a very exciting experience, when things do NOT go wrong that is. It can not be emphasized enough, the maintenance really needs to pick up. I have been to plenty of places like this and more than a few arcades, never have I had this much problem with machines malfunctioning. Again they are very good about re-compensating you when it happens, but it just shouldn't happen this often in the first place. Overall, an okay place to try out. If they maintenance picks up and the bowling prices come down, I'll be set. The prizes I can forgive seeing as it's standard (though upping their quality a little for the price in points wouldn't hurt). read more

I only go to this location! Great date night place. You can even group date!! Look for the All-You-Can-Play special. It makes it all worth it. Laser Tag rocks at this location!! I think it's the best in town. Remember to go sign up for a Laser Tag spot first, then have some family fun while you wait. You should probably eat before you go, unless you have money to spend--make that "money to splurge"!! Went with my 7 yr old who after playing in the arcade wanted to eat a slice of cheese pizza-nobody was at the counter to help. After waiting for 10 minutes decided to just walk out so daughter pulls a sad face. So we turn back and I go past the counter and ask the people inside if they have any cheese pizza ready since we didn't see any on the counter. The guy asks me to step outside and refuses to answer my question like as if I was trying to hold him up !! Again I asked if he had any cheese pizza and again got the same response. In exasperation I decide to walk out and he calls the manager. We wait for the manager for an additional 10 minutes and then when he comes in, the whole story is relayed to him-who also roles his eye at the his employee. Literally THE WORST. I've been here several times and it's always bad service. Nobody pays attention to you. Good luck getting any kind of helping with ordering food, drink, etc. Went there on a Sunday when they opened for my daughters birthday with a large party. Reserved lanes a week in advance. When I got there at the time they told me to, I had to wait over 30 minutes to get any kind of attention to actually get my lanes. Then, when we finally got to our lanes, they weren't working. Mind you, our time had started. Couldn't get anyone to pay attention long enough to address the problem until another 30 minutes. Had to completely move the party to another lane. Tried to order food, couldn't get anyone to wait on us. Ordered food and drinks from Kiosk. Never came... finally complained to the manager (after having to wait an hour) and their offer was to give us some game cards for our troubles. I can't explain the level of unprofessionalism of this place. WONT BE GOING BACK, EVER. Seems there's a lot of people walking around looking like they're busy instead of actually helping. The people I did talk to for help were rude, clueless, or seemed to not give a damn. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, even on a Sunday morning when it isn't busy. Last night a small group of friends and I decided to come to Main Event to grab drinks and bowl, while waiting for the rest of our group to arrive my boyfriend and I sat at the bar and weren't greeted at all for about 20 minutes, coming from a serving background myself I can understand how things get when you're busy..but here's the kicker, there were only 5 other guests. The bartenders greeted other people walking up before even asking us how we were. When the rest of our group arrived we sat at a table in the bar area and were never greeted, I had to walk up to the bar to order food that didn't come out for half an hour. All things considered, we still wanted to bowl, which was a pleasant experience until we used one of the tablets on the tables to order dessert! A full hour had passed by, our lane time ended, and yet still no dessert? When finally going back to the bar to ask about it we were told "A server will be right with you", another 30 minutes passed, just to be told that they were out of the ingredients for our dessert. An hour and a half to tell us that. We had intentions of playing laser tag, but were so fed up with the service that we just left. read more

We have been to this location on numerous occasions the staff with the exception of one or two are completely indifferent to customers. I stood at the bar for nearly 5 min while the bartender talked to what appeared to be her boyfriend. We ordered a couple of margaritas through the wait staff, 10-15 min later when they arrived they were the worst margaritas I've ever had I don't think they had an bit of tequila in them. read more

We stopped in on a weeknight last month and decided to do the package of unlimited bowling and laser tag. I believe it was about $20 a person. We decided to bowl first and play laser tag later. After bowling, we went over to play laser tag and there was about a 35 minute wait, so we bowled another game and went back at the time. My daughter was so excited to play laser tag, she'd been looking forward to it all evening. So we get in, get our vests on and start playing. Less than 3 minutes in, my vest completely shuts off so I had to go find the attendant. Of course, I had to bring my daughter with me even though hers worked fine because I wasn't going to leave her in there alone. He fixed my vest and told me to enter through the opposing team door. When we did that, the people on the other team were screaming at us saying we were cheating. LOL. I was like ummm okay, whatever. The dude told us to come in here. So after we made our way past their ambush attack and back to our own side, the game finished. So we didn't get to play. We came back out and put our names on the list for the next round. Another 30 minute wait. We waited patiently and came back to play, hoping for a better round. We go in and my daughters vest now stops working. We go out to look for the attendant and he is no where to be found. We had to go as far out as into the game area to find an employee. By this time my daughter is in complete tears because she missed yet ANOTHER game. By the time the guy showed up, the game was over.. so we didn't get to play again. What a joke!! I summoned the manager who offered to put us in the next round to play without having to wait... but we were just so done. That is not a resolution at all to the crappy evening she had. read more

Alright, this Main Event has been here for a while and I feel like they should get a redo in reviews. They recently renovated just about 2 ish months ago. Before, everything was outdated and old. Now the interior is fresh and clean. We came for a birthday party and since our party was running late, they accommodated to us and shifted everything 30 minutes later. Bowling was fun and updated as you get to choose different themes on your kiosk. The booths were nice and spacious as well as private so you weren't butting with other parties from the next lane over. The inside of the laser tag is the same layout as before, but the actual guns and outside were new. I remember the previous equipment used was super heavy and hard to put on, where these were easy. Billiards could use some updating. The area itself was updated but the pool tables seemed a little dirty and the one we were using had a huge whole in the pocket so if the ball was shot in, it would fall out (safety hazard maybe?). Food was good, could be slightly cheaper but you can't expect much. The arcade section is slightly smaller than I wish it would be but I guess all the other things to do make up for it. The prices of the games are really pricey! They need to keep up with Dave and busters as they do half price games. If I were to come back, I'd come during their specials. For actual games, I'd stick to Dave and Busters! read more

Being a week night, I wasn't sure what to expect from my visit to Main Event. I never thought I would be saying this, but I was beyond impressed! From the young lady at the front counter to our server (Luke), the customer service was exceptional. Including socks with the bowling shoe rentals is a nice touch especially since most places charge $3+ for a pair. We played a hour of bowling and had 6 people in our group. I will say that though nice, the lane seating was a bit cramped. Luckily the lane next to us was empty so we were able to spread out. Luke was very attentive in taking both our drink and food orders. He also checked in frequently to see if we needed anything. I ordered the Sunnyside Up burger and found it both juicy and full of flavor. Of course any burger with a fried egg, bacon, and avocado is going to be a winner in my book, but this "bowling alley" food blew me away! We also ordered sliders, southwest burger, a large specialty pizza, and a kids meal. My least favorite was probably the kids mac n cheese which fell a little flat on the quality and flavor categories, BUT it came with both fries and fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries). Overall a great night and I wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more

We brought the kids since they were out of school for MLK day. Check in staff were very friendly. We got a jerking lane assigned right away. As we were being seated at the lane we told the gentleman we wanted to order food and he said a server would be right over. Took ten minutes for server to come take our order. Ordered 1 large pizza and a soft drink. Took another ten minutes to get or drinks. Food didn't show up until we had 4 minutes left for or hour of bowling. Our game ended and we had just started eating. Large pizza was 17.95. Soft drinks 2.95. Food staff seemed rushed to get us out once our time had run up on the lane. read more

I have a very bad service experience with service since i had to wait over 10 until someone could help us and was because I ask some that was walking that i think it was a manager and she took our order. Visited Main Event with a group of conference attendees. I am probably a bit biased as this was part of our conference package so I was not tracking dollars spent over the course of the evening. That said, we were greeted by the Main Event staff and they were very courteous. Bowling and a buffet of Tex Mex were the first course for the evening. The food was good and there was plenty of it. The bowling was fine - they have lots of lights and video monitors down by the pins which are a bit distracting. Second course was a spin around the video game room. A wide variety of shooters and race-style immersive games. A few were broken down. And most were a generation old (no different than Dave & Busters). Finished out the evening with laser tag. The space was large with two main rooms both sporting two levels of play. Had a few issues with the vest, but the operator quickly remedied. Overall a positive event and a good way to get to know some colleagues better. read more

Super disappointed after my sons birthday party here. I worked really hard to prep for it and I was left very very unsatisfied.

Customer service was awful!! We started our bowling game and didn't get a server to come over to our lanes until mid way through our game so our game was almost over by the time the pizza got to our tables. We got no plates or napkins once the pizza got there had to go ask for them. The server never took our drink orders so I had to go find him again for us the get something to drink. After that the boys had signed up for laser tag and when they went over to play they had no line waiting and when it was their turn to go in they let them play for two minutes then made them come back out to tell them they had to wait for the next game leaving my seven year old God son inside to play by himself!! The young man at the laser tag stand was rude and seemed to not care, the manager seemed not to care either but this started out OK for me and the boys but ended pretty bad thanks to the management and staff. Came here 2 weeks ago. Summer Fun Pass was only $10.50 :) Played 2 games of bowling. The little kids in the next lane were SO loud. Kept throwing balls down the lane, they kept getting stuck, and they kept crossing the line so the buzzer was going off (don't think they knew how to play, nor did the mom care). Ordered a few appetizers and the Queso was basically cold. Then we played shuffleboard. The billiards area was very crowded and people kept poking us with their pool sticks (there was a table right next to us). Didn't play laser tag (included in the pass) because my friend didn't care for it, but the line was ridiculous anyway. Probably be back, but at a time with less kids. read more

So I decided to take the family somewhere other than Dave and Busters and discovered why I never tried Main Event. First off the service was horrible at all registers. The employees at the front desk just stare at you without trying to make an effort to make any sales. Employees almost seemed annoyed I wanted to get passes to play laser tag... after that I tried to get some food and sat myself with no interaction for 10 minutes. I asked an employee if it was self seating and she said yes, so we continued to wait. 10 minutes later we asked if we had to order somewhere or if there was a server, they said we could do both in and tried to end the conversation there. Had to assertively ask for a server which she then said she was busy, after looking at her for 30 silent seconds, she asked for a server. Nothing came out of her getting a server as we were we would have to wait 5-10 minutes for her to event get us drinks. She then asked if this was ok, and I just looked at silently and said no, it wouldn't be ok. Have up on this company. They failed on so many levels. When your friends tell you to avoid this place, just listen to them and save yourself from a frustrating night. read more

Biggest rip-off ever. Ask a lot of questions or do research in advance. Took my 21 yr old son here for some post-birthday fun (we did not book a party, we just came to enjoy ourselves for a few hours). I had never been before, so I asked the lady at the desk a few questions. She didn't say much. I had seen a deal on their website where you could get a 3-hr unlimited gaming pass and an activity pass for around $25 per person. So, total about $50, which was fine since he wanted to play laser tag and I could enjoy some games while he played. We went to play games only to find out that the 3-hr "unlimited" gaming pass was only good for a couple of types of games (none of which I wanted to play). I found some ticket games and figured to kill time, I'd play some of those. The games let me play, so I played while Chris waited (around 2 hrs) for an open time slot for laser tag (which I didn't realize would be the case). So, I sat down and played a cool ticket game where you catch fish. It was fun and I had a good time, but when I was done, I went to the ticket place and they said that you couldn't play ticket games with that pass (well, you could play but you wouldn't get any tickets), So basically, I wasted $50 and about 5 hrs for Chris to play laser tag twice (which he said wasn't all that great) and me to play some worthless games and get nothing out of it. The only plus was that we got to play 3 games of pool (billiards) - I did stand there waiting for about 15 minutes to return the pool balls at the counter when done, since no one was there. At least the guy at the billiards desk was nice. Had I known all or the caveats when I bought the tickets, I wouldn't have bothered. Definitely not worth the money (unless you have another $50 to load on the cards so you can play real games at $1.75 a whack). Save your money, go to Nickelrama, load up on buckets full of nickels for $10 each and play any games (including awesome pinball) you want as much as you want for 1/2 the price. read more

Absolutely horrendous experience. Came in and took 30 min before we finally stopped leroy for service. HUGE mistake. In 2 hours he stopped by twice. After finally closing out with him and deciding to go to the bar, once frustrations brought to management, the group was cut off. 4 guys having no more than 6 drinks in a 3 hour time period. RIDICULOUS. To top off the night manager then felt the need to call the police waiting tax dollars having an officer follow home someone WELL within the legal limit. read more
