Came in on Saturday afternoon , had 1000 bucks in cash to blow on the kiddos and to only find out no one in the facility could even give me 200 in 20's. brought my special needs son, he is in a wheelchair, he doesn't get to go much , it was his birthday, only to be told by the bar, by the pizza place and by the front desk after waiting 20 minutes in line that there isn't enough cash in drawer to dispense 200 in 20's. what the hell I stood there and watched the waitress cash out almost 200 hundred and after waiting in line at the front for 20 minutes all that money for bowling and not 200 in 20'2 in the drawer?????? Terrible service!!! We came into bowl early in this afternoon. Luckily there was not a wait, especially for Spring Break. As we began bowling, a server stopped by and said he'll be right back. 20 minutes into our game, we notified someone to please send out a server to our lane so we may order. It was then 10 minutes later, he arrived. I placed an order right away. There was no speed to the server. Slow, slower, and slower than ever. 15 minutes left in our game, I informed someone to tell our server to cancel our order since our game was almost over. All of sudden there was our server, with our kids' drinks and appetizer- loaded French fries.... He asked, " You still wanna cancel your order, it's right here." Well, we took the food. They were so gracious to give us 15 more minutes of play, just long enough to eat our appetizer. The fastest I saw our server move is when he dropped off the check and when he ran my card. read more

This is a great place to take kids. Get the wristbands and then overdose on laser tag and bowling! The only reason I gave them three stars is that they were woefully understaffed on the bowling lanes. I had to ask twice and then wait quite a while to get someone to take my order. Ultimately I had to go to the bar myself to get my order -- three beers and some soft drinks. Everyone was very nice, but you need to make sure they are adequately staffed before you try to order from the bowling lanes. read more

For $29 per hour for bowling on the weekend, I expect a lot. But my group of 4 lost about 10 minutes to jams in the ball return during our hour session. That $5 worth of breakdowns meant we got cut off mid-game. Next time, I think I'm going to the AMF down the road. read more

The only reason I even gave 2 stars is because my son enjoyed the games. In the little snack shop ordered chicken fingers, was told it would be about 5 minutes. Ten minutes later looked at the counter, the 2 people obehind the counter were busy flirting with each other. There was a box up under the heat lamp but since there was no one else sitting the, presumed it couldn't be mine, that they wouldn't allow me to just sir there. Then another came out behind the counter, and another. At one point there were 7 people standing behind the counter staring at the pizza, etc under the heat lamp. The 2 grabbed something that was just put up and walked into the bar. So I checked. The box I originally saw sitting up there, yep mine. Stale, old, overpriced, nor very good food at all. Main Event is a place where kids go to have fun. They have bowling alleys, an arcade, and laser tag ( my favorite!). You can use the tickets you win to buy prizes. I gave Main Event a 4 because there is only 3 things you can do there: bowling, play in the arcade, and laser tag. Laser tag is still a lot of fun! read more

Main event staff was kind but the manager was a total asshole. I rented out the karaokie room until they closed. In the middle of a song and at 1:50 they came in to kick us out (they close at 2). I said i just wanted to finish the song. He got a cop to kick us out and it wasnt even 2 which is what I paid for. I will never go here again. The manager was a jerk and treated me terribly for the amount i paid to treat my friends to a good night. Avoid this location at all costs until they get a new manager. I have never in my life been so disrespected. read more

So I brought my two children here. We are not very wealthy, and this was the first time they have ever been to an arcade, bowling, and laser tag sort of place. We hardly even go to restaurants. They worked very hard to play games in the arcade to earn points. Once they ran out of money on their cards, they went to the shop where you spend your points on toys and candy. They bought things like stick-on nails, glow pads, and a few pieces of candy. Once we returned home, they opened up their toys to see that none of them made sense or worked. The glow pad had a piece of plastic shaped like a pen, and had no ink. It did not work, I tried so many things. And the stick-on nails were terrible as well. They were about twice as long as a persons nail, and they were not even a little bit sticky. They gave us random slips of paper that were shaped like nails, somehow acting as a way for the nails to attach. They had absolutely no stickiness. My children were devastated. They are not brats, they are the sweetest little angels. They hardly cry, and it's hard to find a way to make them cry emotionally. They quietly cried for ten minutes. You have no idea what they have been through, and what I have been through to actually earn the money to bring them to Main Event. Whoever is in charge of this place has absolutely no heart. Worst employee service ever. We ordered drinks while bowling, waited thirty minutes for them to come before ordering again and still not getting them. We then decided to just sit a table and wait for a server so they could take our order, but after 20 minutes of waiting we got tired. We decided to go to 'la bellas' and order ourselves. First of all the cashier, Justin, was rude and sarcastic. He was laughing at us while we were trying to make up our minds and asking questions. He acted extremely unenthusiastic and bored. After ordering we sat down at a table, and waited for another good 30-40 minutes. When the server came to our table he said 'is that all, I forgot' he just stood there staring at us... like isn't it your job to know? Then we realized we were missing something but he had already walked away. When I went up to ask him for it he said 'you should've talked when I asked' like um sir don't be shady. I did not have a great experience here, the service and employees are terrible and always seem to treat the customers like they are unimportant. Will not be coming back. read more

I don't like writing reviews, but I felt so disappointed in the way we were treated At this location. We went to Main Event for the first time driving 45 min away from Dallas in the rain. We wanted to enjoy a time with friends, but the way the bartender treated us was uncalled for (Kara). The bartenders had us waiting there for a long time to get served I really hate using the racism card, but I felt like they were just skipping us, because other people came by in which we were waiting there for a while and they immediately got served. Mind you there were 5 bartenders and were not able to get our beer. It was not that busy for them not to able to do that. One African American waited there for a long time to and indicated the same thing, it's ludicrous for this to be happening. One of our friends was very upset because they were not serving him, so he indicated to us "I still don't have my $&@/ beer" Kara just went off on him, rudely, indicating we cursed at the bartenders which there's a difference on saying something to us friends and saying explicit word towards the bartenders, They obviously don't know the difference. You don't do that any costumers no matter the situation. You don't go off and yell at them. We called for the manager(Tina), bad decision she didn't even allow us to explain what happen and just told us to get out of the bar. Ryan came over to talk to us which is above Tina, Ryan heard us out and apologized indicated they been here all day and probably just overwhelmed, that doesn't excuse anything. I'll give Ryan points for trying to handle the situation accordingly, I feel bad for Ryan because he doesn't have the back up from Tina the manager she needs to be trained on how to handle situation with customers. I've worked in the service industries and I know exactly the feeling on working an all day shift in the bar, you still don't go crazy and scream at a customer like Kara did, she needs to not work shifts that she can't handle. As far as Tina, she needs to learn how to manage and be the backbone to Ryan and not let situation escalate. read more

So, it was a two hour wait for the bowling, so we said, goodbye to that. Laser tag was fantastic! Mostly for the part that I was 1-3 on the leaderboard. However, I ask a guy at the laser tag and mini golf desk when the next laser tag will begin, and he says, "We don't have laser tag here... Oh, but we have laser rabbit." WTF? That confused me, but a lot of the staff was nice, just plain dumb! (No offense) Anyway, I lose a dollar on a machine, and I understand, machines break all the time, so I ask a different dude at the laser tag and mini golf desk if I can have it back, he says to go to the prize room desk or something, where you trade your tickets for prizes, and he says, "Go to the mini golf desk for that." Ok? I didn't get my dollar back... So I talk to the manager, and she says she'll call somebody to fix the machine. Not understanding people reading this review? Um, my dollar... So in a summary, very fun place, very poor service. read more

If I could give a negative star rating for this place I would. I have been to this location several times. I usually spend a minimum of 50 dollars to bowl and probably 50-100 in drinks and food. I went to this location last night and it was roughly 11:00-11:30 there were kids ages ranging from about 6 months old to 6 years old running wild all over the bowling alley. I waited very patiently for an employee to say something to them but it never happened. I mean these kids were pushing the plastic kid bowling ramps down the entire alley, and not just their alley either. I asked for a server 3 different times and got nothing. Honestly the place was not super busy as it was a Thursday . So I use my time that I paid for bowling to go stand at the bar to ask for a couple of drinks finally get back to my game and the kids are now running in everyone's lanes as we are trying to get out money's worth since I spend 1/2 of it getting my own food and drinks. Last night was not the first bad experience I have had at this location almost always have a problem getting a server and end up getting my own food and drink. I have taken time to complain and the management almost always just sort of smiles and gives some fake I'm sorry. So last night I have had enough and I asked a young server to please grab a manager for me. When she arrived she already had a look on her face like she could care less. So I began to tell her this for sure is not the first bad experience I have had and nothing ever gets done when I talk with the management. I then told her the right thing to do at that point was to refund my money for the bowling and I would keep buying drinks at 15 dollars a round. Because as I was talking to her my girlfriend was actually at the bar about to spend more money on drinks. So she said ok I will refund the bowling money but I will go right now and shut this lane off and you will not be able to. Bowl anymore tonight. Keep in mind there was 30 min left before they close at this point. So Main Event Entertainment could care less about customer service as she treated me like I was the one doing wrong. Absolutely absurd if you ask me. So I can promise that place will never get a penny of my hard earned money ever again. Take my advice go to Plano Super Bowl the lanes and everything else is much better there. read more
