This place has dropped a few notches since it was sold to a new owner. The selection is much smaller, and the quality is lower. I recently ordered a pastrami and cheese on a bagel. I was not aware that it was going to be heated. When I got it the smell was not very pleasant and the meat was gray and rubbery. After one bite I just ate the bagel. It took longer than it should have and I was pleasantly surprised when the gave me the coffee I ordered for free. So for customer service I give this place high marks but the food is maybe a 2 star. I hope they make some changes in the quality because it used to be a great place to eat. read more

Love this place. Came in Friday around 11:30 and was helped right away. I got the vegetarian on a wheat bagel. All of the veggies were fresh and the bagel was perfect. My friend got the Mexican omlette on a bagel and ate the entire thing without breathing so I am also assuming his was really good as well. Fast, friendly, efficient. I'm a tough customer when it comes to bagels, as I am a former Bagel shop employee. These are the REAL THING! Boiled, then baked, the way a bagel is supposed to be! Not Kosher, as many bagels have cheese, but that just allows for a larger variety for most folks. We got omelet bagels, have tried their bagel dogs and cinnamon crunch - all are well made and tasty. The coffee was not strong enough for my liking, but it was hot and fresh, with a few different choices. They have about 9 cream cheese flavors, and lots of juices in the cold case. Pro tip: don't look for a black pumpernickel: they have a NY rye that doesn't "stick out" for those of us used to scanning baskets. read more

I have come here off and on through out the years. I find the owner consistently very rude and unfriendly. She never smiles at her customers or is pleasant. Just recently when I went, she had a pile of bacon just sitting out on her counter in open air. God knows how many flies sat on them. Also don't ever ask her to scoop out the inside of your bagel because that will just automatically put her from a bad mood to an even worse mood. I'm officially done with this place. read more

Frist off, I agree with Jason D, they did the same thing to me. I thought they were to overwhelm with my order. I wanted 3 large shakes and a jalapeno bagel. after I gave my order, the lady walks away, I thought it was bizarre! Then another employee came and ask what I wanted, so I had to repeat my order again. The jalapeno bagel tasted like it was a day old, very dry. The reason why I am giving them a 3-stars they make the best avocado shake, that I ever had. read more

The location is great and it was a nice little shop, but the bagels were only okay and the service wasn't very friendly. All I can say is WOW, and not a good WOW. We walked in to grab a bagel sandwich and a coffee. What we found was a kid about 6 yrs old walking back and forth on the tables against the front windows while patrons were trying to eat. The place was in complete disarray!! Turns out the kid on the table belonged to one of the owners or employees?? A lady from behind the service counter came out screaming at the child "Why you do that?". I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally decided to stop by. I had the pastrami bagel sandwich which was loaded with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, onions, alfalfa sprouts, green peppers (?), and mustard (I opted out of mayo) all served on a toasted whole wheat bagel. I also ordered a strawberry "smoothie" which looked and tasted suspiciously like a milkshake lol. Oh well, it was still very tasty. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful in pointing out the pictures of menu items on the wall when I told him it was my first time there. My order was quickly prepared. Nice location to boot. Only thing that bugged me was that after I had payed (debit) I assumed I was done when he took another waiting customer's order and I started to leave. Tried calling and making an order.....the owner (I'm assuming because I have never seen him before ) was dismissive and not listening. I hung up and went inside to make my order instead. When I ordered I told him I was the one in the phone call and I apologize if my phone had any static or if that was the reason for him he couldn't hear me.He said that he was getting them "ready"... I told him 6 bagels total but ignored me and was making 4. I also kept saying I want it low-fat cream cheese and he kept saying "butter" which was really confusing because how does butter sound like cream cheese ? .I corrected him before he put butter on the bagels he was talking on the phone being dismissive again and telling me that he understood and that he would have them ready for me.I watched as he was making my bagels wrong after I corrected him four times. I have been here before and that young lady that's working there has always been respectful and always takes the order really good. If the owner is going to be talking on his phone go to the back and stay there don't be dismissive to the customer especially during a pandemic where I'm trying to help smaller businesses point blank PERIOD. I'm not the one to leave a review but it feels horrible to be trying to explain what you want and getting some thing that you don't want I paid because I don't want things to go to waste but I would never come here again how disgusting. read more

Small place at heart of downtown Morgan Hill. Back from my mini vaca in Sf, I had a bagel and coffee itch. Saw this place when dining at Ladera last week so had to give it a try. The bagels were good, the customer service wonderful, fast, clean. Needs some upgrade but for a local little place with good location and wonderful service I'm a fan. My first time here. I stopped in for a bagel and a cup of coffee on my way to an appointment. The lady in the plaid shirt behind the counter ask me what I would like. I told her I needed a minute to look at the menu. She proceeded to give me a death stare, cross her arms and shift all of her weight to one hip immediately after I told her that I needed to look at the menu. The death stare kept getting more intense so I just got a cup of coffee and I will go down to Daily Bagel after my appointment where I never experience attitude or negative body language Main St Bagel carries Seattle's Best Coffee which is great if you are a dark roast drinker. Came here out of desperation because House of Bagels was already closed in Gilroy, and had a huge craving for a BLT on jalapeño. That is exactly what I order here and was unfortunately given a not so good bagel. The bagel tasted nothing like jalapeño and the bacon was beyond salty, not to mention it seems like the guy who made my bagel just put a huge leaf of lettuce on there without even trimming it or anything. To make matters worse the guy who made my bagel wasn't wearing food handlers gloves (I work with food so seeing no gloves makes me cringe), and that was definitely the last straw for me. The wait for the bagel was outrageous as well, waited almost 20 minutes and nobody was even in the store! Will not be returning! read more
