Breakfast If you have a kid with disability pass on this place. They actually do not have a kids menu. And no first aide kit. How could the service be so slow you would need a first aide kit? Let me tell you. The first two time we tried to go here it was a 50 minute wait, so we passed. Today we sat after 15 minutes wait. I had to find the waitress 3 times, for coffee refil, did not bring my Son milk and to pay. Because we had to wait so long for everything ( chocolate waffel but did not bring us milk, had to go find her and ask for drinks) , it was like a " Got milk" comercial nightmare. My Son had a meltdown and my wife took him to the car, and he scraped his leg really bad. I asked if they had any badaids or first aide kit, in a restaurant. And she said they did not have bandaides. So that gives you an idea of the cleanliness if they have no bandaides or first aid kit... painful experience on many levels. read more

Food quality was not the best, and the food was not delivered at the same time. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the order to arrive. Tables are small and there is not enough space at all. Unfortunately, we ordered a Nutella waffle and on the menu it said it was Nutella. However, when we got the waffle it was syrup not Nutella. We've been going there since they've opened. The staff and owner are all very friendly and check in w/ the table a few times while you are there. The food is great, there was only one time when our food took a while to come, the restaurant was busier than normal and our waitress apologized for the wait. The restaurant is very clean, and they have both indoor and outdoor areas. One time my husband had left his hat there, and our server realized it and brought it outside to us. All the places we go to for coffee and breakfast and Country Waffles has some good machines that make their coffee and great pancake batter because the pancakes come out nice and FLUFFY not STUFFY. The food was decent, we enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the omelet, both were flavorful and cooked well. It definitely has potential as a solid brunch spot. That said, the service left a lot to be desired. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, which is understandable, but once we were seated, things didn't improve much. I was not impressed with their waffles they were so bland tasted like straight flour no flavor. Their chicken and waffles Benedict was made with frozen chicken nuggets not fresh breaded fried chicken. I wish I ordered the chicken and waffles dish that one comes with fresh fried chicken. We had a nice waitress but she wasn't as attentive as she could have been (forgot a child's cup for a 6 year old, never returned for the traditional "how's everything" after the food was delivered to the table, had to get up for extra napkins). Was able to flag her down for real butter as opposed to notorious gross tasting inexpensive all to common diner margarine. She brought us warm melted butter in a plastic cup - where are the king crab legs or lobster tails? But at least we had butter after scraping off the margarine to pour on our toast slices. Usually have no complaints nor issues with this place, perhaps a change of management ? Will chock it up for an isolated incident and probably give it another chance sometime. read more

I visited Country Waffles in Morgan Hill on a Sunday morning. I parked in the parking lot and entered through the nearest door, which led me to the back. There wasn't any signs indicating where to check in. In the middle there is a cashier desk so I asked and was told to go to the front which was on the other side -street side. The wait wasn't that long, the host came over greeted and seated us. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained. The staff was polite and attentive, but our food arrived at different times with two of the meals cold. Here's what we ordered with ratings: *Santa Barbara Eggs Benedict: 3/5 *Country Fried Steak and Eggs with side peanut butter banana waffles: 4/5 *Kids chicken strips and fries x2: 3/5. The kids enjoyed them. *Nutella strawberry banana waffles: 5/5. A good portion size, really tasty, and not too sweet. I recommend trying this restaurant if you're ever in Morgan Hill. read more

If your a chicken lover like myself then this is the spot for you. I'm such a huge fan of chicken and coming here for a quick breakfast was a good pick. I go chicken and waffles which was delicious. They give you a good amount of pieces of chicken. Chicken was nicely cooked no pink in the middle and super crispy. So yummy! The service was okay given the time i went there, it was somewhat busy. I liked Country Waffles as soon as I stepped in. People are very friendly, it's got a diner kind of ambiance with good quantity of food. Taste wise, it's nothing over the top but you get plenty to go off of. It's definitely not greasy or unhealthy I would think. I wish they had milkshakes though, it would've been perfect! We had a great breakfast here. Our server Sebastian was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. He was attentive as well as the lady he works with. Breakfast country potatoes were awesome. Bacon is very thin. Crepe filling is not as thick as it used to be.Looks like major cost-cutting going on. Worst thing though is that the server placed the jam/jelly container on top of the toast when delivering food. The bottom of that container was dirty (we checked), making the toast unsafe to eat. Came in to Country Waffles for you guessed it, waffles. I was disappointed because I thought I was going to see a vast menu for waffles in all flavors and a variety of toppings. However the list was ok. This location used to be Sizzlers in the past and was converted to Country Waffles. The menu is very similar to any other restaurant offering breakfast. We ordered waffles, of course, with strawberries, bananas, Nutella and whip cream. the toppings were good but the waffle itself was on the dry side. Almost tasted like a biscuit and not a waffle, needed coffee just to get it down. Ordered the French toast with strawberries, banana, and whip cream. I was very satisfied with my order, it was delicious. Will definitely come for the French toast again in the future. Also ordered the meat lovers omelet with country potatoes and a side of bacon. This dish was very filling and had good flavor too. It was a generous portion, enough to share. The bacon was really good and crispy. Went there today for breakfast and had the ranchers scramble. It came with cheese, ham, bell peppers and all the fixings. I had a choice of toast or pancakes. I got the pancakes and they were fluffy and great!! Two huge 8-10" pancakes!! Their country potatoes were very good. The coffee wasn't run of the mill bland coffee it was a bold really smooth tasting coffee. I was served promptly and the waitress was very nice!! Tables are a bit crammed together so social distancing is not enforced. I walked in and saw some guy returning from the bathroom without a mask. The lady brought us our water and coffee immediately as well. And another lady came by and took our orders, which arrived every promptly. The food selection is average and comparable to that of any diner. Nothing special pops out at you. The coffee was subpar. I normally drink it black if it's good, but had to sweeten it with creamer and sugar. I ordered the boarders and while disappointed she didn't ask me how i wanted my potatoes, i was surprised with deliciousness. This is a newer restaurant and our first visit. We arrived and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. We waited about 45 before checking on our spot on the list. We found out that the wait would be another 40 minutes. We already waited 45 so decided we'd wait some more. I lost track of time but I feel like we waited more then the additional 40 minutes. So all together the wait was at least 1.5 hours or longer. We are seated and ordered our meals, the waitress was very nice. The food came out really fast. The food was actually really good. We were all happy with what we ordered. They don't have butter knives which is strange. We had to cut our pancakes with steak knives but it works I guess. We came here for Sunday morning breakfast in late winter 2023. We only waited about 5 min for a table. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and looks brand spanking new which is really nice. The hostess asked what we would like to drink but never brought our drinks. Our sever took about 7 min to come up our table and finally took our drink order and brought them right away. She came back not too long later to take our order. The cranberry juice was watered down so I swapped it for an orange juice. The orange juice tasted fresh squeezed and was absolutely delicious. The coffee was meh. I ordered the Florentine Benedict with country potatoes and a boysenberry waffle on the side to share with my husband. He got the Joe Scramble, my daughter got the chicken waffle sandwich and my son got the chicken and waffles. I will say this, the country potatoes are delicious; perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The hollandaise sauce was fine, I did add a little salt and pepper. My husband enjoyed his scramble. My kids said the chicken was perfectly crispy but unseasoned. Now to the restaurant's namesake, their claim to fame: The waffles. Now, I am a waffle connoisseur . I try waffles everywhere I go. To describe these waffles in a word: trash. They were not hood. They were grainy, flavorless, and mushy all at the same time. No amount of doctoring up could make them edible. The boysenberries had a ton of seeds in them which I guess means they are fresh but very unpleasant to eat. The whipped cream tasted homemade and was delicious. I think our server was serving our entire section by herself by so I don't want to be too hard on her, but she never refilled our coffee or water All in all I would not recommend Country Waffle and we will not be going back. read more
