We went there for breakfast and was surprised by the quality and portion of the food. I highly recommend Logger's Breakfast and I'd totally go back for it. The potatoes were crispy and full of great flavors. The biscuit and gravy came with a generous amount of sausage gravy and soft, fluffy biscuits (the biscuits are literally smothered in gravy). It took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food, on a relatively quiet Saturday. Our server was virtually absent (it's a small restaurant and he was nowhere to be seen for long periods of time). At the end of the meal we were told that their food delivery had been late and didn't even arrive until we had been waiting for an hour (we arrived at noon, their delivery apparently arrived at one). Mind you, they did not tell us that they did not have the food on the premises. They let us sit and wait with a small child for an hour and fifteen minutes. In the end it took almost two hours to get out of the restaurant. Just waiting to get our bill, and get it paid, took twenty minutes. There were two other tables with couples in the entire restaurant. Definitely not busy. When we politely asked, we were denied any kind of compensation for such a bad experience. They said I'm sorry and charged full price regardless. DO NOT EAT HERE if you value your time. Our complaint was not taken seriously and they deliberately withheld information about the availability of the food we ordered. read more

Grabbed coffee and breakfast here during the heat wave, after hiking at Silver Falls State Park. LOVED the waterfall themed coffee drinks. Clever and the one I had was as described and delicious. My friend had pancakes and I had French toast, both of us enjoyed our meals. Only small complaint was that the service was pretty slow. Took a super long time and we didn't really get an apology for it. Also, we didn't know and came in on the florist side of the restaurant -- which made a worker kind of grumpy at us. I am late to posting this review. I wanted to extend a huge thank you to the waitstaff and chefs who showed us amazing hospitality as the area around Silverton was being evacuated due to fires. Not only was the food and coffee delicious, the staff was gracious. Many of our Oregon trip plans, like hiking in Silver Falls, went up in smoke, literally. But the trip was a success because of the beautiful people, like the people at the Main St. Bistro, that made it memorable. Heading to Silverton from picking fresh chestnuts from a farm there, I wanted to stop on Main Street and found this 1891 building, that has a long menu (compared to one I wanted to go earlier which only has 1/2 a page).   Hubby ordered the Toasted Ham & Cheese sandwich and a side of a bowl of Clam Chowder. BOTH are temptingly delish! The first spoon I tried on the chowder, and it had a good size clam. Hubby said:  "totally wonderful, so delicious, well cooked!"  My hot dog, was perfect, exactly how I like it, and it came with fries.  I usually don't like the fat slices potatoes, but fried to a perfection, I can't complain!  I even told my waitress that! Will come back here again, when we visit the falls. Today, it was raining so hard, on/off, we needed to get home to get our chestnuts prep for tomorrow's bazaar! UPDATING: I decided to use the Restroom while there. Remember, we've been picking chestnuts, and one has to go quick! (But I could have!). I stood there, listening to her explained to me about the restroom direction, and the key. The Restroom, is outside the restaurant, but still in the same building. To my right, the restroom! I was holding the key in my hand, trying to figure out how to hook it or hang it to the doorknob. Hey, like I said, using your brain @ the same time you're holding your pee, one would have a wet pair of jeans! Do you know what I mean? When I mentioned this scenario to my hubby, he told me: "I just set it down on the floor, and it stood right up!' The waitress who originally sat us was rude and we only saw her one other time after we asked another employee for water, the check etc. The pineapple margarita was terrible, couldn't even choke it down. I was pleasantly surprised by such a full menu. The service started out okay but I asked for a straw and a woman server handed me a straw with her bare hands and the straw had no paper on it. I overlooked that part and the food was delicious. But no one checks on you to see if you need anything. I would have liked an ice tea refill and my husband would have ordered ice cream if anyone ever came around. I saw other people in the restaurant going to the counter to ask for items, their bill, etc. Also, they got our order mixed up bringing us two of the same order for my husband and none of what I ordered. We ate lunch the meal was excellent the burgers are large and the meat looked like a homemade burger, not an old frozen patty. My go-to spot for coffee! Good ambiance - couches, tables, seating by the windows, and a small upstairs area. Free wi-fi, selection of books for children to read, chess set, etc. Excellent customer service - greeted promptly and warmly by staff, the barista has always been friendly and makes small talk, clearly a go-to spot for locals as staff seemed to know several by name. I have only had coffee and dessert at Main St., but I have to say that I am pleased thus far. Definitely my default location for getting a coffee in downtown Silverton. My standard drink of choice is a vanilla latte, and theirs is very good -- their espresso has a smooth flavor to it, and then they don't make it crazy sweet like some places which makes for a well balanced drink. The dessert experience I had was back in January, before they had their full menu up and running, so I'm not sure if they still offer it. It was a mini molten lava chocolate cake served with ice cream, and my 8-y.o. daughter and I thought it hit the spot on a chilly winter day. read more

Such a great little spot. They have a breakfast/lunch/dinner menu that they serve all day long with a small variety of options. The also have a fun coffee menu with plenty of different flavors. There is a decent amount of seating indoors. We worked from here for a few hours and there were outlets available for us. The service was lacking. The waitress forgot to bring my coffee. She also forgot to bring one of our sides. We got wraps and she asked if we wanted the dressing inside the wrap or on the side. We asked for it in the wrap and they came out with the dressing on the side. So that was a little annoying. She didn't write anything down as we ordered which normally doesn't concern me but in this case it did considering she forgot quite a bit. Otherwise a great spot. We ordered an iced vanilla latte, a hot "Twin Falls" (a customer favorite espresso drink), a breakfast sandwich with bacon, a half order of biscuits and gravy, the Main St. scramble with sourdough, bacon and hash browns. I went here after hiking the Shellburg Falls trail. It is so cute how the coffee drinks are named after the Falls at Silver Falls State Park! The atmosphere was very pleasant and calm, there was even a small florist shop inside. The baristas were wearing masks and the tables were spread apart to allow for social distancing. The barista was extremely sweet and friendly and I really appreciated how she told customers to have a blessed day. I stayed for about 2 hours studying and felt right at home. The wifi worked perfectly. My cinnamon roll was delicious and all the other pastries in the case looked amazing as well. My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant on Sunday, November 14 around 2:30 PM. First of all we waited for a very long time to get a table. When we were finally seated the waitress strolled over about 10 minutes later. Keep in mind they were three other tables in the whole place. We placed our orders and literally waited over 45 minutes for our food. In the meantime nobody came to check on us or let us know that there was a problem with the order or maybe the kitchen was behind? I finally got up and tracked the waitress down. I asked her where our food was. She said oh you ordered the hamburger? Well we cook those to order so it takes a little longer. I said it's been 45 minutes since we ordered and there are only two other tables in here what's taking so long? When is the food coming? Oh do you want me to check and see? Yes, please find out how much longer it will be. She disappeared into the kitchen and came out and said it would be 15 minutes. I asked her why so long and she theres only one cook in the kitchen. Unbelievable. I don't know if the order was lost, never given to the cook or whatever the problem was but the reason I'm leaving this review is because this was the worst service I have literally ever had in a restaurant. The waitress was incredibly indifferent, very rude and argued with us. She never said she was sorry never asked if we wanted crackers or something to hold us over, never showed any concern that a paying customer had to wait over an hour to finally get their food on a Sunday afternoon with two other tables in the restaurant. We even had to ask for silverware and napkins that she set down on the far corner on the table from where we were sitting so I had to reach all the way across the table to grab them. Just wow. My friend had to track her down in the kitchen to get the check. She finally brought it over but never came back to the table AGAIN. My friend had to track her down once again to give her the payment. I could not wait to leave after spending 2 hours of my life I'll never get back in this crappy restaurant. btw the food was mediocre at best. read more

Went for breakfast. I ordered the Santa Fe omelette, and I had ZERO complaints, and an abundance of praise for it. That shit was YUMMY, no lie. Friendly service, good food, and apparently (according to another member of our party) very nice selection of variations on the bloody Mary. TVs everywhere, for me that was a welcome conversational diversifier. Ooh, best part, fair prices! The menu was a bit limited but I imagine that's a big part of how they can keep the prices reasonable. They did a great job with the food though, everyone in our party was happy with it. read more
