Great food and service! This was first time here. I ordered the cheese omlete meal and coffee. The waitress was pleasant and prompt. It was a very enjoyable breakfast. Came here to eat due to the good reviews. It was honestly a disappointment. The restaurant was old and not very clean. The service was very slow and seemed to be unfamiliar with the menu. I ordered a 12 oz Ribeye for $10. (Should have known better). I was given a greasy slab of nothing but fat and gristle. A big disappointment and by far the worst steak I have ever had. Family ordered burgers, they were decent. Soup and salad bar was a plus although the bowls were not very clean. And please don't even think of going to the bathroom. Overall, the service and the food did not match my expectations. We will be avoiding this restaurant whenever we come back to the Belleville area. read more

I love this place. Good, basic, food, served hot and fresh. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Coffee is always filled and fresh. I love the spinach and mushroom omelette and the American Fries. French Toast is also good, and their egg breakfast is reliably good. They don't mention it but have really good marbled rye toast also. For dinner, I stick with the fried chicken, which is pretty good. It comes with sides and soup/salad bar. The salad isn't anything special, but the soups are pretty good. The sides aren't super memorable, but I don't think badly of them. read more

I have been here several times and ordered something different from the menu each time. Everything I have had is excellent. Tonight I had the fettuccine alfredo with bacon. The price was great and I will have leftovers for days. And we got our deinks (tea and soda) free! Maybe it was a special? But it was a pleasant surprise nevertheless. Slow service by people who didn't appear to be happy to be here. Salad bar was sparse, but tasted fresh. We had chicken fettuccine and fried chicken. The pasta was over cooked and mushy, the sauce was bland and had that cheap jar taste. The fried chicken was so-so with a simple salt and pepper based breading. Ok... Where to start... My kids love it. They don't see the sticky tables and slow service. The salad bar items are unpredictable, inconsistent, and sometimes very random. The food is inconsistent which can be problematic. (Like the time we had steak seasoning on a child's side of broccoli...) The appearance of the servers and atmosphere leave a bit to be desired. Dirty hair, nails, aprons and uniforms are gross. Dirty floors and dirty sneeze guards are gross... BUT you can feed the family and leave a good tip for a reasonable amount of money. And bread pudding... We love the bread pudding. They are sweet and work hard and do their best though. It is worth a shot! read more

This place was absolutely awful! The food was mediocre at best, and the service was terrible! We ate here on a Sunday at noon. After we sat ourselves, it took 5 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us and another 5 minutes for her to get to our drink order. I was trying to be understanding because I am in the service industry, and at first I thought they only had 3 waitresses for the entire restaurant, but as we were leaving, I noticed there were about 6 or 7. No excuse. So either the management is terrible or they were short in the kitchen. I got two cups of coffee, and the only reason I got a second cup was because I flagged down our waitress. My husband never got a refill on his soda because our waitress dropped off our food and never came back. My food was cold and my "toast" was bread. By that time I was ready to leave. I had to flag our waitress down to get our check. I am severely disappointed with our service after reading all of the rave reviews. I can deal with bad service or bad food, but receiving both left me pretty ticked. read more

Nice little restaurant, actually! I ordered a BLT with fries. It was good and the bacon was crispy, which is great because a lot of places they're not. Portions are huge! The staff is not the fastest, but you can tell they're really trying. Overall a good place. read more

Went in with the wife and kids on 11-3-2013. First impression restaurant NEEDS a really thorough cleaning. Our booth was ripped with duct tape covering rips, sat down to a dirty table with open jelly packets on it. Dirty salt & pepper shakers. The booth we were given was right behind a make shift server station which actually blocks the emergency exit. Throughout our meal we constantly had to listen dishes being tossed in the station. Our drinks took 10 minutes to get while our server was serving others. She did apologize for the wait.Food was cold as it arrived. My over easy eggs were "fried" to death with burnt crusty edges, Kids "MIckey Mouse" pancakes look nothing like MIckey Mouse" Homefries were cold, dried out and looked to be saved from day before. Prices were reasonable but, for less that satisfactory food. We will not be back. read more

Service was terrible! We walked in for breakfast and felt like we were a bother. Very rude people from the beginning. We were seated and received our drinks and the server said she was going to deliver some food and would be right back. 15 minutes later after seeing her take the order of other tables who arrived after us, we went up to the front counter to let them know. Wow! Great food! Good portions and cheap prices. Toasted Ravs are very good. Chicken and dumpling soup was the best I've ever had. The home made croutons on the salad were still warm! Very inexpensive but VERY good food. My wife and I go there about 1-2 times per week. Most of the time, the food is outstanding from Salmon to steaks. Occasionally it is just good but that can happen anywhere. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and we take others there as well. read more

My dad's birthday was sunday (11-17-13) and he decided he wanted their 20oz T-bone for $9.99 and we were very impressed. We were greeted by a very nice lady (who happened to be the owner) and were seated in a long booth in the back of the restaurant ( we had 6 adults 2 children) our server immediately asked us for our drinks and told us about the dinner specials and soup of the day, she was polite and seemed to be paying close attention to our requests. We all had the steaks and they were tender and perfectly cooked (especially the medium steaks, not too pink or too well done they were just right) I had steamed broccoli as my side and we all had soup and salad bar. Their soups are the best!!!!!! they're homemade and vary by day. After we informed our server it was my dad's birthday dinner she offered and complimentary dessert ( he had the apple dutch cheesecake). The owner lady asked us how was our dinner and service and chatted with us for a minute. The atmosphere is great, the prices are unbeatable and this is our favorite place to go!.
