They offer a variety of shows that would appeal to anyone. Tickets are very reasonable and service is great! Haven't tried much on the food menu but the burgers do look amazing! We had a very enjoyable time at a concert here last night! You are seriously so close to the artist, and it has the feel of a personal concert! We did not try the food, but I would recommend getting a bucket of beer because the place seemed to be a bit under staffed and could use a little better service, but that takes nothing away from the experience. It was a little pricer than I expected, and I did not understand the reason for an increase in $13 dollars for reserved seating versus walk ins? I generally confine my music listenings to inner loop Houston venues (or at least venues close to major freeways) - but lucky me - I won a free night's stay the La Quinta Tomball, Texas, in a silent auction which afforded me the opportunity to check out the locally famous Main Street Crossing. No, seriously... I won a night's stay at La Quinta. If you're in Tomball, it's pretty much impossible to miss it. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one street in town... Main Street... and it's probably also the only building that's even open after dark. Also helpful is the light up sign clearly identifying it. And if you're in Tomball in the first place, you probably live there - so this description is most likely entirely unnecessary. I hope you're not there to eat - and if you are, I hope you're not a picky eater. You can have a burger and chips... or a salad... or a pizza. I had the burger... I wouldn't call it especially delicious, but it was good enough. For dessert I treated myself to some chips and salsa - worth noting is that the salsa is pretty good and reasonably spicy. If there were other dessert options, I was oblivious to them. I was feeling fancy and abandoned my standard bucket of beer with dinner and split a couple bottles of wine. I couldn't say for sure if it was good wine because it all tastes the same to me, but it wasn't awfully expensive and it effectively did its job... and it was red. The table beside me had some serious issues ordering quite a few of the beers on the menu - apparently someone drank a whole lot the night before because there was hardly anything left. But really you're not here to eat well or drink fancy beers, you're here to listen to music - and this is a great place to do it. I would call it a Mucky Duck/Dosey Doe hybrid. It has an intimate setting like the Duck without being so obnoxiously intimate that people will be hushing you for quiet conversations. And, really, I don't know how they do it - but their artist draw is pretty amazing. This is definitely not on anyone's way that's on tour, but somehow they bring in some top notch artists... a few up and comers, a few local artists... a few legends. We don't have a terrific music venue like this in SW Houston so I've come to T-Ball for MANY of their shows and have never been disappointed. Great artists at a reasonable price and nice crowds, so what's not to like? The staff is very organized, efficient, friendly, and helpful. There is ample parking and good food available if you come hungry and they don't hustle you for drinks or food. I wish that Houston had more venues like this, but I'm happy to come to Tomball and support these good folks! read more

It wouldn't have been half as bad if the owner/manager was extremely rude when telling us to be silent. In all honesty, my group was drinking but not even close to excess. This place is a decent music venue that draws some very big names. It's comfortable and very intimate, and extremely quiet. I could hear the guy next to be eating his chips. They call this place a "listening room" so it's creepy quiet during performances. I believe this place has so much more potential then what is provided. The staff claims the food is what they're known for but the limited menu is all cookie cutter food items that could be made at home on your countertop with items from your fridge and pantry. My advice for this place is to remodel and install a; full kitchen with deep fryer, full liquor bar, and fountain drinks. The amount of money this would all cost would quickly be recuperated and liven this place up which I believe is what it needs. But hey who am I anyways?.. Just my humble opinion. read more

The fact that the venue actually charges for this seat (and at the same price as half of the other seats in the house) is shameful, and you won't find out you're being shafted until you get there. read more

I was here for a event babe bought through Urban Delight which I have now dubbed Rural Disappointment. Now I will say that this place had little to do with the issues with the event but helped to formulate my opinion about them. First, we were given horrible directions. Second, we were told it was dinner theater. I was concerned that they would not be serving alcohol but instead we found out that dinner wasn't included in the price of dinner theater. Say What?! No big deal because I'm striving menu options: chicken salad sandwich, pepperoni or margahrita pizza (it was basically frozen pizza put in the oven), and chips and cheese. They were serving burgers but the service was soooo slow that the servers told us our food wouldn't be done before the play was over. And considering how long it took to get the chips & cheese I know they were correct. The play was horrible. It was based on the anime "Death Note". Sad part was people were basically talking amongst themselves the entire time. Saving graces for this place: it's a nice place. Very cute inside. It's like a Brasil's coffee shop. And honestly I think this is where the problem lies. They should stick to coffee and snacks. When you say cafe that leads to other expectations that frankly they don't/ can't meet. Babe and I both agree that this place had a lot of potential, but the direction is off. BEST place to see a concert in an intimate setting. Excellent acoustics,. Seats 180 people. Beer and wine only, but plenty from which to choose. Controlled, mature crowd the nights we were there. We had their margarita pizza and it was just fine, wasn't frozen as one reviewer stated. I wouldn't call this a dinner theater, maybe they were trying to push it as such at one time, but now there's music here three or four nights a week., and they happen to serve food. We saw Ezra Charles (awesome show), Shake Russell (Waylon's done some of his songs) - both excellent Texas boys. We are buying tix for Gary P Nunn - I know, can you believe he's going to play in TOMBALL? I wouldn't come here to eat dinner. We had the pizza as stated above and it was more of a snack, yet satisfying, in other words, it wasn't terrible. I saw hamburgers being served last night. they looked average but if I were a musician, as intimate as this venue is, it would be like sitting at the kitchen table playing your music while others at the table were eating. Just kinda weird, that's all. Go eat at the Rib Tickler or Goodson's, then come here for your music. I think I saw maybe five hamburgers being served, and the place was packed, point being no one really comes here to eat. Service was above average. We didn't want for anything. Main street requires reservations, and you will be turned away if there isn't room for you. That's just the way it is. Try to get your reservations early, the tables are comfy but the bench seating towards the middle of the venue was not comfortable for two hours. The crowd has been an older one - 40 and up, although my 21 year old loved Main Street too. Thankfully the music starts at 8:00 and on time, too. That's nice for us maturing folks. The musicians hang around between sets (20 mins or so) and it's like a little meet and greet. Kinda disappointing that one reviewer gave this place bad marks because the play he saw sucked and was given bad directions. Where's your GPS, dude, or Google maps? Oh, and Tomball cops are Nazis so watch your speed in town. read more

Outstanding venue for solid acts that usually play larger auditoriums. It is a listening venue, but that's made clear on the website and before every show. For me, that makes it better. Depending on the act, there is plenty of hootin' and hollerin', they just don't allow talking over the music. Very well managed and highly recommended if if you're looking for a place to appreciate music, but you'll hate it if you're wanting to visit with friends with music in the background. read more

Horrible service... the bartenders can't even pass out bottled beer efficiently or correctly. We turned our lights on indicating we wanted service and they were ignored. The owner/manager came around and was extremely rude to two tables telling them to be silent during the concert or leave. Bizarre if you ask me. read more

First time visiting and it won't be our last. We spent a very enjoyable evening listening to Kathy Mattea. Arrived early to eat & get seats. However seats are assigned. Friendly staff at the door. You turn on a "candle" when you are ready to order or need drink refills. Menu list has been updated. We enjoyed our pizza. We sat at a table with 6 other people .. all strangers. But everyone is friendly and it works. Learned this type of venue is called a listening room. That means when music starts, no talking. It's cozy and intimate mixed with some fun! read more

Would have never found this place if one of my favorite Singer/Songwriters (Dana Cooper) wasn't in town for this midweek gig. I am SO GLAD I did. This charming venue, set in downtown Tomball is a great place for live music, wine, beer and maybe even coffee and dessert. The neon sign is a beacon in an otherwise dark and quiet midweek outing. The brick building is has tall ceilings, some parking but plenty across the street. Once inside, you will immediately feel comfortable either down front in the stage or behind the divider at pub style tables and chairs. Stained pine ceiling beems along with the color scheme and brick walls is classy enough for a reception or wedding but comfortable enough for a smoke free music venue, complete with cofee bar and glass dessert counter. The furniture is on the newer side and the lighting can be adjusted for any kind of gathering. The owners are Christian and their mission for both local churches, community and live music is obvious. The place is open for local youth on Wednesday and three church services on Sunday. Tuesday is open mic and Saturday is closed for private parties, so seek out live music on either Thursday or Friday. I wouldnt hesitate to host a party or gathring of any kind at this very intimate venue. The menu is small but the quality is tight. I had a chance to meet a few of the waitstaff as well as the woman who books Texas/Americana/Country music and everyone was genuinely small town friendly and interested in your experience. Get this place on your radar by checking out their website and finding when your favorite band is coming to Tomball. Its worth the short drive! read more

As far as local venues go, Main Street Crossing is a true listening room for songwriters. You have to appreciate that there's no competition for the audience's attention. People come to listen and enjoy original songwriting. Hearing the stores behind the songs add such a dimension in allowing us to know the artist. The quality of the experience is so much more than just listening to music. It's now at the top of my favorite places to see a singer. My first visit was last month to see Trace Bundy. I love intimate venues such as this. This place is small but very nicely done as far as acoustics, ambience and food/drink selection. It's a bit chaotic upon arrival as you are likely to be placed at a shared table. In our case our table mates had already eaten and it took a bit to get a waiter to return. But the food was great and the closeness to the performer was really special. I will def go back to this place. read more
