This place is now my new go-to pho place. It's located right on Main Street in Manayunk. It's pretty small on the inside. I was able to snag a table for me and my stroller. The Vietnamese coffee was really delicious. It came out so strong and really the perfect temperature to sip on. The wait staff was very attentive. They made my baby and I feel very welcome especially by letting us move to a bigger table when a customer left since the stroller took up so much room. I ended up ordering the Bún bò Huế which is my go to when the weather is meh. I was a bit disappointed they didn't make it come out super spicy. The server gave me extra chili oil for the dish which kind of helped. They also included the beans, jalapenos, and lime with this dish. It was such a big portion that I ended up taking some home with me. They were so kind that they poured my soup for me in a bowl. They also brought me complementary macaroons which honestly made my day. I love those two guys that were working that day and I will be back there again for their legendary Bún bò Huế.

Stayed a friend's place nearby and went here for lunch. Small restaurant in a cozy downtown area. Tried their special pho and have no complaints. Pho was flavorful. All the meats and toppings were great as well. Would recommend coming here for those craving cozy soup days.

I was so engrossed in conversation with a new friend, I neglected to take a photo of my pho. So I'll tell you about it. The broth was weaker than my preference. But with a squirt of this, and two squirts of that, it improved significantly. I complain that many restaurants overload the bowl with noodles. To their credit, Main Street doesn't. And their grilled chicken was quite tasty. T and I shared a roast pork banh mi sandwich which was neither the best I've had, nor the worst. The roll was crisp, but fillings a little sparse. With all considered, I designate 3.43 stars to tonight's meal. Since I'm feeling magnanimous, I'll round up to four stars! When I return -- and I likely will -- I'll follow the lead of a fellow at the next table. His dish he said, tasted as good as it looked: lemon grass shrimp with vegetables and rice noodles.

One of the cheaper restaurant options in Manayunk. Free parking on Sun, but otherwise it's not too hard to find street parking all around. Pros: -got the 'special' pho - pretty standard, nothing really blew me a away -seating inside and outside -fast service Cons: -pricey for some basic Pho -3% credit card surcharge. Can avoid by paying cash or via Venmo. Kind of ridiculous in this day in age -wish it came with more meat Conclusion - if you really want Pho and you are in this area then I guess this is an ok option. Not a great value for what you get though. Otherwise @Ramen would be my suggestion a few blocks down.

Main Street Manayunk is looking great these days with terrific streetlife from end to end. Main Street Pho is one of the multitude of options. Outdoor seating for good weather days and a pleasant Asian vibe dining room for anytime. As a first timer I went with the basics-Grilled Chicken Pho, while my companions had beef pho and Grilled Pork Banh Mi Sandwich which they shared and gave me a taste. While the grilled side plate of chicken was quite good, particularly with a dip in the hoisin/sriracha mix, the broth was weak. It needed more time simmering in the pot with a whole lot more spices to bring the flavor up to par. A little lemongrass seasoning would have gone a long way. The Banh Mi was okay with pleasant grilled bbq flavor, but again light on the other ingredients (daikon, carrot, cilantro) that give these classic sandwiches the combination of taste and texture that make them famous. I've been on a Vietnamese cuisine kick of late, eating in about a half dozen over the past month. Sad to say, Main Street Pho falls on the lower end of my exploration due to lack of richness in the broth and a need for more substance in the Banh Mi. There is a lot more on the menu, so it is probable that there are some winners there, but first impressions being important, this house did not quite reach the standards I was hoping for. Still, don't sleep on Manayunk. There is plenty there to keep you entertained. 3.5 Slurpy Stars

Food is delicious! Next time I will definitely ask for more of the hot/hoisin combo. Cute little place, maybe 10 tables. I got to go and it was perfect. Still hot and flavorful with all the proper fixings. My food was ready when I arrived and they do have Venmo pay. They up charge for credit cards so cash or Venmo it! Drive slow to find it and once you have, you will always remember. I would return.

I was in the area and ended up here for convenience. It's a pretty decent place for pho and bun bo hue. Considering the location, I was surprised that the pho was pretty good. The bun bo hue was quite authentic, minus the blood cube and pork feet option. It isn't as spicy as other places, though. But overall, pretty good stuff. Price-wise, it is a lot higher than most other pho places. I honestly wouldn't come here as my first or second choice for pho or Vietnamese. There are plenty of good places in South Philly.

(+) I am not sure how they made a vegetable pho SO FLAVORFUL! Amazing!!! Pure magic!!! The peanut sauce that came with the summer rolls was pretty on spot! A good balance of salty and sweet. (-) The restaurant could use some cleaning, floors and tables were dirty which was a bit unappetizing when my eyes met the floor.

We were exploring this area and after climbing up and down some Manayunk hills we needed a quick bite, I yelped some spots and decided to drive to this spot. Cute spot with a few tables outside, my SO asked for a outdoor seating and we were lucky enough to be seated almost immediately. I couldn't decide between the shaken beef and the spicy lemongrass chicken, the owner/server advised that the lemongrass chick was more popular, and my SO got the grilled chicken banh mi with mango bubble tea. Although my order came out a good 5-7 minutes before my SOs banh mi, the portion was large enough for both of us to share. Definitely a good spot to get a few bites.

We were there on a Monday at about 4 p.m.. I was very disappointed to find no whole Maine lobsters, the reason for me taking her there. They changed the policy to weekends and holidays only for the whole lobster. Granted they still had lobster, but as a Ginger Scallion Stirfry dish. The lobster was cut into small pieces, which were overcooked and tough and dry. The sauce makes it much messier to eat. I didn't care for it at all. The huge jumbo crabs I'd seen on my previous visit, on this visit were very small. I was rather embarrassed, as I'd talked it up so much to my sister and I promised to take her there for her birthday. I was sorry she did not get to experience the same experience I'd had a month before. Yes, there are still many options to choose from. That was not the issue. Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.
