One of my go to spots in east Hampton. Never ever had an issue til no. Wish I didn't hav 2 wright this but they left me no chooice. All I just wanted was a regaler peperoni pizza and they gave me this. I don't know what to call it. Maybe microwave chicken and tomato pizza? Only reason I didn't give 1 star is becase it was actully pretty good. I woodnt order it again but overall 2.5/5 stars. Actully no that I think about it it might have been a little beter than I thot. They're not my favorite pizza in town, but they have good food, are reasonably priced and are consistent. Their grinders are good sized and tasty with fresh toppings. The pizza is Greek style, and decent for that style. They put a lot of cheese and sauce on their pies. Their dinners are very typical red sauce Italian dishes found in hundreds of similar mom and pop pizza joints. Same with the appetizers. This place could be Main St. Pizza in any small town in New England. The ambiance is again, very typical of these type of places. Service is prompt and friendly. I mostly get take-out, though. Again, unlike the other long-standing pizza place in town, Main St. Is very consistent. My food is always ready by the time I show up and my order is correct. Another edge they have is that they're the only pizza joint in the area that delivers. I would recommend Main St. to anyone in the area looking for Greek style pizza. read more

If I had out-of-state visitors I would most likely take them here to see a representational central Connecticut pizza place. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect for a town pizza place, but the seating is ample and the wait staff is attentive. If you order a salad beware that they pile it high with cheese and deliver on a plate that's too small. Unfortunate experience tonight. My boyfriend called and ordered a small cheese pizza and 2 soda cans for delivery at 8:00pm. (Please note we live less than 2 miles from the restaurant). We were told 45 minutes, which is fine because we realize its a Saturday night but we were cozy and didnt want to drive out. At 9:00pm we called to check the status and were told "yeah, he's on his way." At 9:15pm the pizza was still not here. We called and told them they could cancel our order and the woman on the phone hung up on us!! I grew up on the pizza and grinders here and they're still my absolute favorite - and it's not just nostalgia. I visited recently with my kids when we were in town, and they also approved! Pizza has a perfect ratio of cheese to sauce and a fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside crust. Turkey grinder was delicious with crisp veggies and I think freshly sliced turkey. It's so good, I get the full sized grinder and save half for later. Service is always fast and friendly, and it's a great place to take kids. Crayons and card games keep them entertained and there's a kids menu and high chairs. read more

This is my go to place because I live in town. To be honest I'm not a fan of their pizza itself but my husband likes it. For me, It's always too moist and it doesn't hold up. The cheese pulls right off the pie and you end up with soggy limp Sauce bread. That's the only bad thing I can say though! I love their baked meat ravioli dinner. To the point that I order it every week and still crave it most of the time. It's a generous portion (one order is usually two meals for me) but it's perfect baked with a generous amount of delicious cheese on top. Their burgers are always consistently delicious and they always have steak fries which are the best fries so.... The staff is friendly and the orders are quick. We ordered take out pizza here the other night. Our usual spot, Rossini's, was closed because it was a Monday. The crust was tasteless, the sauce was super sweet, and the pizza was just blah. Love this place! I've dined in and ordered out and I'm always pleased with the service. They have great food. Waitresses have been there for a very long time and they are awesome. They come back multiple times during your meal to check up on you. The calzones are to die for. Their pasta dinners are also amazing. I also love their French fries, they are always cooked perfectly. Everything always comes out pretty quickly. When ordering out I usually have it delivered which they are pretty quick with too. If there are any issues with your order they are always very apologetic and quick to fix the mistake at no charge. I enjoy the buttered bread and the chicken tenders. The pizza quality is average, I don't like how the cheese, along with the toppings, sometimes come off when the pizza was just made. Definitely not the best pizza I have ever had, but also not the worst. I have ordered here a few times since I live nearby. The pizza is okay. I once ordered and went in to pick up my pie. They could not locate our order (I called in) so they put the order in for us when we got there, offered us a seat in a booth, and gave us a free beer-I thought that was nice of them. We love Main St Pizza for their fried Chicken Grinders. They make the freshest breaded chicken cutlet loaded up in a really great sandwich. I've also had the fried chicken cutlet on a salad which is LOADED with mozzarella cheese. Their portions are really big and totally worth it! read more

What can we say about main street pizza? Well I will keep it short, the staff is nice helpful however is not the word I would use. You will find most of them standing around talking rather then helping someone that's is paying for the service and food. The prices are very high for very greasy food, mediocre sandwiches, and bad service. This is main street pizza of course, the only way to tell other then the above is there are kids who hang outside which is always good to see unless of course they are rude like these. Some of you people have GOT to be trying to kid the rest of us. I have lived in East Hampton for 21 years and NEVER experienced an uncooked dish, a poorly made sauce, or an unfair price compared to the portion. The Pizza crusts are always 'right in the middle' between thick and thin style and for me to choose Main Street Pizza over the neighboring competition says something about the over 200 times I have ordered take-out and the 18 times I have had the time to actually sit down for a full meal. It is understandable no one gets an order exactly correct and yes at times any restaurant may have something not fully cooked - but this has never been the situation any of the times I have eaten from Main Street Pizza. I will also mention that the proprietor Steve Guay is very conscious and aware of the pricing and I have first-hand knowledge he has chosen to keep prices reasonable even when prices have spiked and inflation has hit all of us through the years. Finally, Main Street Pizza has a sense of community and has been 'there for me' when I informed them I was holding a party for my Soccer Team as part of end-season celebrations. They were very good about side dishes, easy going on the number of pitchers of soda for the included party price, and even put in the effort to make accommodations for a few families that had diet restrictions. Personally, I give Main Street Pizza 5 Stars but the above rating is a 4 because i'd rather have you decide for yourself by coming in and enjoying just how good the food and value is at this restaurant. read more

I was working in the area so I stop in for lunch and ordered the chicken salad it was the WORST salad I every had I was told it was grilled chicken it was tough and tasteless and it wasn't grilled the lettuce was old iceberg old tomatoes old green peppers and it said it came with mozz Im thinking fresh mozz no it was shredded mozz what should I expect for $11.00. So I decided to call and tell them I wasn't happy and how the chicken wasn't grilled and how I felt like I just got robbed the lady start arguing with me that the chicken was grilled I said there are no grill marks on it her answer was we grill it on the flat top then pit it in the frig and heat it up in the oven when u order it. The staff are on their cell phones constantly. If I were a health inspector I'd cite this place. Employees dress sloppy, wipe their hands on dirty jeans while prepping food. Wear long sleeves that appear dirty. The owner is a great guy, but dude! snap your staff into order. Food service is serious business and it has to be clean!!!!!!!!! I get their pizza fairly often. They are open later than most of the other places around here which is convenient and their pizza is pretty good. The only thing I would say is that they tend to put a bit more sauce on it than I like and if you get delivery it tends to make the cheese slide around in transit. They are always willing to make it with less sauce if you ask though. read more
