Some people learned about Philly's when the New Haven location (now closed) first opened. Fun Fact -- the Norwich location is the OG. If you live outside the area, it's perfect for before and after Foxwoods meals. It's worth a drive. I've been a fan for years. Philly's specializes in cheesesteaks, and they have a variety of specialty steaks named after Philadelphia athletes and other things. For the recent Yelp check-in, I ordered the Broad Street Bully, which is high tier shaved ribeye, whiz, provolone, onions, peppers, mushrooms and pickles. There was so much steak and filling, it fell out of the super fresh hoagie roll when I tried to eat it. All of the ingredients were high quality. Delicious! Philly's is one of the very top spots for cheesesteaks in CT. I also had tasty crispy fries with whiz on the side. And the seriously delicious Phried Philly Bread dessert, which is sort of like bread pudding with ice cream and tasty sauce. Service was very friendly. There's some seating if you want to eat there. I certainly was not expecting a gas station to have a gourmet pizza shop inside. My brother told me I needed to trust him. And I'm so glad I did. We got two huge slices to share. They have some vegetarian options with ricotta that I recommend (and I'm a meat eater for sure.). Wish I had more time in the area to get more speciality slices! read more

I stopped into plaza for lotto tickets and gas. I decided to try a slice of pizza from Three Fellas. I was pleasantly surprised by their thin crust offerings. I went with plain cheese slice for my first try. It was good considering it was reheated slice. Service was very fast and friendly. The restaurant is part of a service station that also hosts Starbucks coffee. It's primarily a takeout pizza place. There are a couple small tables but not dine in with family vibe. This pizza location is so awesome and should have there own building as it's in a gas station plaza and you would think it's just a ok spot bite ally it's deceiving as it's really good. A friend of mine brought me here a year ago as he knows the owner. I was wowed then and should go more often but definitely when I'm in in the area as it's in east Hampton not close to home. If you haven't tried it you must go. The Meatball, onion & ricotta is so delicious. My son really liked the BBQ chicken one. read more

Use to go alot for slices in old building, first time at new set up. Must be trying to squeeze pennies as this is NOT the pizza I loved. I dropped $28 plus a tip on a pizza that wasn't half as good as a Dominoes. Bland crust, skimpy, soggy ingredients (what little there was). Gourmet? I wouldn't order again if it was $14 . I was in area and was so excited to get some after all these years. The owner should be embarassed..and it was mid afternoon no rush, should be no excuse. I fell in love with the slices, just this summer, so I have ordered 3 large pizzas since. they messed up every order. This time white pizza wanted red and the dough isn't cooked... Recently visited the newly reopened Three Fellas located in the new Atlantis Convenience store in Marlborough. After a somewhat confusing time navigating between their google listing/allhungry ordering system, I realized that ordering is now done completely thru their website, and not with any 3rd party. They also do not currently have an active phone line, so ordering is done exclusively online, at least for the moment. The pizza was done very quickly - about 20 minutes in a Friday at dinner time, and the staff working that night were all extremely friendly and pleasant. They only offer one pizza size, a 16", so I had lots of leftovers. While the cheese/sauce combo is reminiscent of their old pizza, the crust was disappointing, coming out rather uncooked and flavorless. They also seem to utilize what looked like a conveyer belt type of oven, rather than a conventional pizza oven, so it's possible the timing is off. I'm not sure if the crust was frozen, but the flavor, cooking method and one size option points to that direction. Overall, the staff there was great and it's nice to have a NY style pizza option in the area again, I just hope they adjust their crust to stand out and not go down a 'convenience store pizza' path read more

Hands down one of the best pizza places in the area. The slices are HUGE! Everything I've tried has been delicious.

I got the chicken parm, was very tasty didn't come in patty's. Very surprised it was chopped pieces of chicken in a rich sauce. And the bread was toasted lightly and soft if that makes sense lol. They don't use real mushrooms. I mean.. they are technically mushrooms, but they're the preserved/canned/flavorless variety. Lots of interesting and delicious pizzas but guys.. step your game up and use fresh mushrooms! read more

I'm not one to complain EVER but I just got this salad for a quick dinner, with 2 small bags of chips. It was $17 and change. For lettuce..and chicken. No veggies in the salad at all. I made a drive out here to try the Buffalo chicken pizza. It was definitely tasty and full of flavor. The only reason for four stars was the fact that it was very simple- no ranch or blue cheese on top or any type of vegetables like most places. I think they can do more with the slice! One other downside is that it is a bit isolated from the major parts of the state, and can be a difficult place to reach. Other than that the service was very quick, the interior was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Staff also verbally confirmed that the meat is halal, so that is a bonus! Overall, crust was crispy, slices were quite large, prices were fair, and the experience was positive. read more

Passing through Connecticut on our way home from a wedding and we had to stop and get some lunch. Saw the reviews and stopped in. The slices were a little pricey ($15 for 4 slices, 2 pepperoni, 1 cheese, 1 buffalo chicken), but the slices were HUGE so it wasn't that far off. The crust was awesome. The cheese was awesome. Only knock was i wish they had more premade slice options available for people just grabbing and going, but I'm guessing if they would have the market for it, they would have done it. Parking lot kind of sucked as well, but that's not really their fault. Definitely a good slice of NY style pizza. read more

I'm not really sure how this place is 4 stars. I tried this place last Saturday,I ordered online and they never give you an estimate on how long till the order is ready. So I just guessed a half hour and it was ready. I ordered a large cheese $15.50 and a side of fries for $3.00 The pizza was ok, but unless it's a good thin crust like pepe's or mondos I would prefer more a Greek thick crust style. Pleasantly surprised when a New York girl decided to try these three fellas' pizza. It was thin and flavorful. I had the sausage with ricotta and caramelized onions. Rolled in for lunch one day, and was delighted to find some of the best pizza in the area! True New York style packed with flavor and quality ingredients. After one visit I'm already hooked, and this will probably become my new 'go to' take out option. There are a few bar stools lined up along the wall, but you certainly can't come here expecting a traditional sit down meal. Great great great addition to the area. You just don't get good pizza like this unless you really want to drive somewhere, ever since they've opened I have loved coming here. The team is extremely friendly, very quick, and make both awesome pizzas and other dishes. The one thing is though when you walk in there is somewhat of a walk to the back of the restaurant where you order and you get stared down by the staff until you make it to the counter and I never know if I should be the first to yell from when I first walk in and say "hey! I'm here for pizza, how the heck are ya!" or do I let them make the first move and say hi... My favorites are cheese and the buffalo chicken, if you are in the mood for some za, stop in here, it's thin crust, chewy and delicious... and it gets messy sometimes so be prepared... I'm often too excited to take my time and grease and cheese droppings always end up scalding my chin or making a mess of my shirt, I just laugh and say... "oh meeee hehe". Anyway, I digress.. 5 stars, you hicks have it good. jk obviously, i have roots, i am not antiboro or anything. so this was a good pizza, mer was smart enough to spring for the caprasie without tomatoes. nice strings of basil on a well balanced fresh mozzarella and not too chunky sauce. i really liked it a lot. it was a tad cold as it had to make it back to east stabyou, but i housed it, it was great, way too good to give to my kids, we were glad to have to share this incredible pie. 17 bucks for the privilege, worth it. read more
