A friend and I stopped in for an early lunch, today (our first time). There were no other customers present and our order was taken by two waitresses (one in training) and the trainer said she was on her 3rd day. They were friendly and attentive. I ordered a hotdog special (w/ fries and cole slaw) & my friend ordered a salad plate with NO olives (allergy). I saw the waitress write down "NO OLIVES" on the order. Our order was placed at 11:45am. At 12:15, I got up to find a staff member to ask if someone could check on our order. (Four customers had come in after us and were served/eating.) I was assured by a tall male that he saw the food "being made" and it would be right out. I seated myself and waited an additional 13 minutes for our food. Our plates were delivered by the same tall male. The salad plate had OLIVES on it and the hotdog was lukewarm with room-temperature/cold fries. We pointed out the OLIVES and the male asked, "Do you want me to take it back?" (UMMMM - YES - CROSS CONTAMINATION!) The waitresses came over and were EXTREMELY APOLOGETIC and didn't know what else to say. Eventually, a replacement salad was delivered. It should not take 45+ minutes to get a simple hotdog "special". The other meal didn't even require cooking - it was mounds of tuna, macaroni and chicken salad on pita bread. I met a friend for lunch. We had eggplant fries with cheese and sauce and tomato bacon pizza. It was all fresh. The pizza was covered with crispy bacon and tomato's. The waitress was very attentive and kind to us. It makes the whole eating out experience a good one. She was older so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. One of our favorite places to ho for good food. We were seated immediately and given menus. Basket of warm bread appeared on the table soon thereafter. One of the best places for fresh bread. We ordered the baked ziti and the shells with marinara sauce. Portions again were huge, flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Provided enough leftovers for two more meals. Still a solid choice in Marlborough for good dinner specials. The service staff were very attentive. The ambiance is very laid back feel with friendly people. Limited bar options but they can make most cocktails. I enjoyed the grilled salmon special on this visit. Salmon was very good but the sauce was a little oily for me. Overall, very good. Had dinner here tonight and it was excellent. Had two different types of pizza. My granddaughter had a great big meatball for $2.50. She ate the entire thing and absolutely loved it. To top it off she got chocolate cake which she also loved. The antipasta salad was a small, but it was huge and enough for four people. Our waitress was excellent and was very attentive and came back often to be sure we didn't need anything. Reasonable prices and no upcharge for additional salad dressing, blue cheese, etc. I will be coming back again to try some other items on their menu including their rice pudding, which is homemade. Really only come here because it's convenient and one of my dads favorite restaurants. It's pretty good. Standard pizza place. Decent prices, big servings. They're not my favorite for pizza, but it's decent. This last time I went I ordered a salad and it was delicious. HUGE chunks of Gorgonzola and a generous helping of chicken. I have been trying to find a good place for a Waldorf salad and this is it! The one I ordered was only a small - I can only imagine how big the large is. One of my friends ordered the fried shrimp and they were HUGE. She had no complaints. My other friend ordered the pizza (only cause they were out of grinder rolls - weird for a pizza place that is located across the street from a grocery store but oh well) and it was tasty. The only complaint I have is the service. This last time I went, I walked in and two waitresses were having a conversation. Both of them looked over at me and went back to what they were doing. Some man, the owner maybe? Had to come over and ask her to greet me. Totally understandable if it's a rush and they're busy, but I was blatantly ignored. The same waitress was very nice while we were dining, but didn't check on us as often as we had hoped. However, she was very accommodating with suggestions, extra dressing, etc. Will be back since it's pretty close by, also they offer $3 off a $35 purchase I believe, on the back of the Big Y receipt. read more

Walked in at 6:30 on a Tuesday night and they were not busy. Waited 15 minutes after being seated for the waitress to come over. No drink menu was provided so she left us to get it. White wine was warm, not chilled but actually warm. She never checked back so we couldn't fix that issue. The manager checked on us after we waited another 30 minutes with no food and she came right out with it. We asked for two customizations on our meals and neither was provided. When brought up to the server she shrugged and said sorry. One entree came with soup or salad and neither was provided. Didn't take the leftovers cause the chicken and asparagus was so bland but it's not like the server even asked if we wanted a box. Had to flag down the server for our check. I was meeting the rest of my family there at the restaurant, my wife and two teenage children. I arrived first I asked for a large booth, I asked very nicely and she asked the man making pizzas behind the counter- she explained 3 more people were coming, and was seated in the middle booth, after asking for a large booth.....the man I was later told was the owner and I heard him say " those booths are reserved for 5 or more , how many times I tell you." I said ok and once we all squished into our booth ...we ordered.. We ordered Fried Mozzarella and wings. Wings were to be Buffalo flavored. When the appetizers arrived the Mozzarella was cold on the inside and burnt on outside. The wings were naked. We asked for sauce on side for wings and Blue cheese on side( we were not asked first which dressing we wanted on the side but as we were ordering the cook in the back and the owner making pizzas was yelling at another waitress about a phone order she took and that was so unsettling to us. none of us thought of it. Needless to say we ordered 3 small pizzas to go and got the heck out of there. Like I said it was slow but with all the staff yelling at each other it was too loud to stay. All the loud shouting was from the owner in a broken foreign language and the head cook shouting in Spanish which I fully understood . Thank god my children do not know what I call dirty Spanish or the young " phone" girl because then the Spanish cook may be looking at legal action. I would expect this behavior from maybe teenage workers but really the owner and head cook. I tried to tip the phone girl and asked if our waitress would get half - she said no- the OWNER would. What kind of owner takes the tips for himself??? Never going back there. I don't know what is going on with the pizza, but it's getting worse by the month. We ordered for pick up a pizza many months ago and picked it up. When we opened it at home it was barely cooked. All the toppings were raw, falling off the top of it. The soggiest pepperoni in the world. Pizza was hardly even warm and we live 3 minutes away. I didn't complain. Just thought it was a busy night and when you order from a restaurant regularly you can expect an off night and just get over it. But this happened a second time. And the sausage was so raw on the pizza, so undercooked we threw it out. Again, we didn't complain. This happened a third time- I complained directly to the restaurant and they made a new pizza and we had to go out of our way to drive back out and pick up a second one. And here I am again- happened a FOURTH time last evening. Spent over 34 dollars on a large pizza for it to be undercooked, soggy pepperoni and all the toppings raw and falling off everywhere. It's like they're in a rush, barely cook your pizza and don't care what condition it's in. Overpriced and awful. Last night was the last time I will ever get a pizza from this restaurant and it's sort of sad because I remember getting pizza back when I was just a kid there. It's been decades. I don't know what happened and why the quality has gone so far downhill and the prices so high for slop pizza but I'm not spending that kind of money on a pizza that cannot even be cooked properly. A nice neighborhood place for pizza and seafood. We ordered from here again and the food was very good. The restaurant took the time to address prior issues and that was encouraging. Our takeout was prepared fast and fresh. Even a side salad had a very nice presentation, as it was literally hand-crafted down to the placement of shredded carrots. It's far too easy to just throw salad in a container for takeout. The pasta was also very good with plenty of flavor. Our party really enjoyed the pizza. Although they have changed hands and names a few times in recent years, they're worth a visit. Especially if you like pizza and/or seafood. The current owners really care about making you, the customer, satisfied. They're also accommodating with making dishes that aren't on the menu. Yet another 5 star review! Marlborough Pizza continues to amaze me. I wanted to update my review since this was the first time trying the breakfast menu. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits with home fries and a side of Challah bread French toast. The girl got the corned beef has with eggs and a side of bacon. The food was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. Better than any other place I've had them. The French toast was a huge hit with me. Big thick slices. Well cooked. Very much impressed. The corned beef has was tasty with a bit of bite to it. Chunky and moist but not pasty and much like most places serve up. Service is always outstanding! Give you an idea about the service. I ordered a couple of Mimosas, which were very good. The cooks were running a little behind so there was a few minutes wait on the food which was fine. I had no problems with this. Be that as it may the waitress brought over a comped Mimosa. How great is that? Really shows that they value their customers. I can appreciate that. I am interested to see that people are saying that Marlborough Pizza used to be better and now has gone downhill because ever since I was a kid, I found them pretty sub-par. For a place using my hometown's namesake as their name, I was always disappointed to be so poorly represented. I'm going to make this review pretty brief. Haven't been there in years, no desire to go back. As a kid they used to supply pizza to the elementary school for pizza day and I was always incredulous as to why the school didn't use any other of the better places within a 10 mile radius. Pizza always tasted like the sauce was cheap, the cheese was burnt, and the crust was equally burnt and cheap. Went in to sit and eat maybe twice and remember both times being disappointed. I was in town for an appointment and stumbled across Marlborough Pizza. It reminded me of Village pizza in Wethersfeld. Small, family run pizza place with a friendly staff. I didnt have much time and was only able to try a bowl of their home made chicken soup. Vegetables and rice were plentiful, taste was great but could have used a little more chicken. That combined with a few pieces of warm bread and two bud lights was the extent of my stay. The only down side is that there is no bar, i felt pretty lonely sitting in a booth by myself. They also only serve beer and wine. Looking forward to returning and giving the pizza a try. read more

Had breakfast this morning here. It was excellent! This is my new local go to for breakfast. The peons ate huge if you leave hungry is your own fault! I put their breakfast above a diner breakfast.
