Tommy's is amazing!!! The food, the owners, the atmosphere- it is ALL amazing! My favorite pizza is the buffalo chicken pizza, dipped in Tommy's homemade Greek salad dressing! The Pasta Sampler is a must! If you're in the mode for a sub, the cold cut combo is the best one I've had ANYWHERE! Tommy's has such an old school pizza parlor feel, with jukeboxes (not working ones) at every booth! I instantly feel at home the second I step foot in Tommy's. Love it here!

I went there today and ordered a large pizza with bacon onion and extra cheese. It was so overcooked I only had two pieces and tossed the rest. They must have had a different cook there today because their food was always good. I paid $27 in change for that pizza. And I tell you what I will never go there again. Very disappointed.

Not a bad pizza place, but not fabulous either. The pizza was a little overdone, but still tasted okay because of all the gooey cheese. I actually don't mind pizza that's a little browned on top. If you're looking for thin crust New Haven style pizza or New York style pizza, this isn't your place. The crust at Tommy's was thick and chewy, but it did have a bit of crunch to it. Perhaps other menu items are better than the pizza. I liked the Greek-style idea they have going on here, but the interior leaves something to be desired. It felt slightly messy and disheveled inside. However, the service here was great. The staff was friendly and attentive.

weird. i thought i wrote a review about this place and i got an email from Yelp HQ that one of my photos of Tommy's was inappropriate and being removed. So, I have no idea what ll that is about but I do remember the pizza I had when I was here, and you can even see it in my photos - two old reheated slices wrapped in foil. no box. unwrap the foil and a majority of the cheese sticks to the foil. sad slice. I also remember the flies. Oh yes, the flies buzzing around were quite annoying. I wanted to like this place, but the slice was unremarkable. I shop at the neighboring IGA often and would love to have a nearby go-to slice place, but this is not it. Maybe better if you go for pies. Tommy's shares a large parking lot in a strip mall with IGA and a bunch of other stores i dont remember. Noise level: Quiet, nobody is ever here. Good For: Cleaning out your intestines.

Elvis Presley's hair had less grease. But it was tasty.

Possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. Soggy (after 5 minute car ride home) and practically raw in the middle. Very disappointing.

The sandwich was very good, crispy and flavorful. The bacon pizza was just crispy enough with flavorful sauce. The garlic knots were made fresh with a very nice aromatic herbal garlic infusion. Brought it to the owners attention but they corrected it right away. He also added the cannolis for the inconvenience. There is no parking lot, but street parking in this area isn't too bad. It is a take out place so the inside is set up like a deli. Everything in the case from brownies and cannolis to pasta salad and squid salad is homemade. They offer a large variety of sandwiches, pizza, and more, but I knew I had to get. Teflon Don because of how delicious it looked in the pictures on Yelp. The Teflon Don did NOT disappoint. I got a 12" grinder, and it was massive. It was stuffed with meat and satiated my sandwich craving. I also tried apricot nectar for the first time, and I'm hooked. The workers were also super sweet and even let my friend go into their kitchen and see the fresh sauce they had on the stove for his chicken parm! Great people.

We are not often in Middletown, but we will definitely be back. This is a great place to stop, and I 10000% recommend it. Of course, I had the gluten-free veggie pizza, and I added pineapple because I am a pineapple-on-pizza person. Sue me, I am an islander. My partner had the shrimp pizza, not gluten-free, and ordered a medium. The size was honestly obscene for a medium. He kept asking to drive back down there every day after because he wanted it again. Definitely returning.

They do offer a free lot in the back, but judging by all the cars, Mondo is very popular on a Friday evening. Sure enough, there was a big line of people picking up orders, but we walked right in and were seated immediately. We started off with a beet salad, which was surprisingly delicious, combining candied walnuts and sweet orange and green apple slices with salty feta and tangy balsamic over a mountain of mixed greens. We then moved on to paninis, generous portions of meat and toppings on freshly baked, crispy bread. One of us chose more mixed greens tossed with dressing while the other chose crunchy French fries. We also ordered a third panini to go, the Mondo combo. We asked for fries; the kitchen accidentally gave us a salad. Our server, Heather N., saved the day by noticing the error and giving us both side orders. Mondo is family friendly, and there were plenty of children during our visit. As such, the volume was a tad loud and boisterous, but nothing obnoxious that would prevent us from returning.

If you prominently post a sign in your restaurant that says "This isn't Burger King. You don't get…read moreit your way. You take it my way or you don't get the damn thing", you better be freaking phenomenal at what you do. Because you're announcing to the world that you don't really care about providing good service. Yeah. Yeah. It's meant to be a joke. But really, it's not. The person who would post that sign, really thinks they know better than you do. I basically get a slice of pizza from any restaurant I haven't been to that has a Slices sign. I was in the plaza for Giulia's Pizza and saw that slice sign. So I went in. I am only evaluating Giulia's based upon their Slice Selection and my slice of pepperoni. People who order a whole pizza may have a completely different experience. I have recently been to 4 other places that also feature pizza slices in the Newington, Berlin and Rocky Hill area and those visits establish a baseline for this review. Of the five places, Giulia's has the fewest choices. Cheese. Pepperoni. Veggie. In terms of display, Giulia's displayed the slices in the least appealing way. They were just kind of sitting there. No heated case. The cheese pizza seemed the most recently cooked, but the Veggie and Pepperoni had been sitting for a while. The tops were solid and the crust looked thicker than I would expect for a non-Greek Style pizza. I decided to try the pepperoni. It was brought to me more quickly than I would have expected after I ordered it. Not surprisingly, it was undercooked. It was OK, but the cheese was a bit of a mess texture-wise. The sauce didn't pop for me. The pepperoni could have been cooked more. The crust was chewy in a way that I didn't particularly enjoy. Of the places where I have recently had a slice, this was my least favorite. I've seen and heard this Burger King saying before. I don't think a business does itself any favors when it posts a sign like that. It's hard to root for the person who posts that sign. But you can get away with it . . . if you're great. At least with respect to the slice part of Giulia's business, Giulia's is not great. Two Stars
