Jose answered and set me up with Rolando. Rolando came on Thursday. He discovered that the Drain Pipe going to the main line was completely clogged. This pipe was underneath the house at the crawlspace. He also discovered that shower was leaking from the top level to the crawlspace. He stated that the grout is cracked causing the water to seep in and out. He quoted me $1700 to fix everything. Meaning changing and replacing the clogged shower drain pipe to the main pipe. Regrouting the shower tiles. I agreed, set up the 2nd schedule for Friday 03.06.2026. Rolando took about 4 to 5 hours to fix everything. He was a young man with experience. Changed drain pipe and regrouted! I dont know much about piping. I am ignorant when it comes to pricing. It just had to get done. I had no time for 2nd quotes. Finger crossed I wasn't overcharged lol. Overall, I would call back for piping service. This is the 2nd time I called this company. First time was my kitchen sink that was clogged. The good thing is I have 90 days of warranty from the time of fix. I really dont know if I still have problems to call back the plumber. The only way to really find out is to crawl underneath the house. Overall, pleased with uncertainty. So far so good.

The work included whole house repiping (water and drain lines), a trenchless repair of our sewage line (CIPP), installation of clean-outs, hose bibs, Moen leak detection unit, irrigation stub-out, bathroom fixtures, and many other miscellaneous items. Eddie was very thorough in our interactions, answering all of our questions and working with us to ensure that the work was completed according to our expectations. He was transparent with pricing and stayed true to the initial estimate. We were able to promptly begin work and although we encountered some challenges with changing city regulations, Eddie adapted well and promptly coordinated with city inspectors and his team to obtain updated appropriate permits. He made sure that our concerns were addressed throughout it all and provided closed loop communication on project progress. Hugo was also an instrumental part of the team in making sure that everything was done well and up to code. Overall we're very satisfied with the work done and will look to Soo Hipp in the future for our plumbing needs.

I hired Soo Hipp Plumbing to install a gas line in our backyard. Eddie was friendly and knowledgeable, but my experience changed once the work began. During the project, a section of HVAC ductwork in our crawlspace became disconnected. We were not informed of the damage when the technicians requested payment and left the property. Luckily, I refused to pay until I inspected the work, which is when I discovered the damage. Because the duct insulation tested positive for asbestos, what should have been a simple repair became a much larger issue involving environmental testing, a Procedure 5 cleanup plan, and thousands of dollars in unexpected remediation costs. While the company initially acknowledged the disconnected duct and indicated it would be addressed, they later denied responsibility and claimed the condition was entirely pre-existing. I was also extremely concerned by the way the work was performed. The gas service was turned back on without notifying anyone in the house that the appliance pilot lights needed to be relit. When I returned home from work, there was a strong smell of gas throughout the house. Thankfully, my family is fine, but in my opinion, they demonstrated a surprising disregard for the safety of their customers. I was equally troubled to learn that the technicians accessed my garage through unauthorized means and climbed over our personal property to manually open the garage door despite being told that I was available to open it remotely if it was needed. The handling of the dispute was even more frustrating. The company initially indicated that the disconnected duct would be addressed, but later denied responsibility. They then threatened a mechanic's lien and repeatedly demanded full payment for a project that was clearly not complete. At one point, they demanded the full contract amount in order to coordinate an inspection, despite previously requesting only an 80% progress payment for the rough piping phase. Ultimately, I coordinated the city inspection myself. The rough piping work thankfully passed inspection, and after months of back-and-forth the company accepted the original 80% progress payment they had previously requested, marked the invoice paid in full, and waived the remaining balance. I was still left paying for the asbestos testing, environmental consulting, cleanup planning, and repair of the damaged ductwork, and I had to hire another contractor to complete the project. My opinion is that a contractor's character is revealed when something goes wrong. Based on my experience, Soo Hipp Plumbing did not stand behind the consequences of problems that arose during the project, did not address my safety concerns appropriately, and chose to respond to a legitimate dispute with lien threats and demands for payment beyond the stage of work that had actually been completed. I would never hire this company again, and I would strongly encourage anyone to think twice before signing a contract with them. ,

My husband and I had been working with another big local plumber in the South Bay for 7 yrs. They did all the plumbing in the home we gutted and serviced our rental property installing water heaters, faucets etc and it got to the point where we felt like a number vs a name and face so we started the search for a new plumber relationship. My 95 yr old father in law had a leaky "main" to his house and we thought it was a great way to experience a new plumber and the reviews for GG don't lie. The guy who came out was friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. what struck us was when he offered both the option to replace as well as repair. Maybe we are jaded by the many service providers who always scare you into doing more extensive work than necessary but this guy seemed like he was advising us like he would advise his own grandfather. The work was done well and it's been nearly a year and no more problems. Because of this experience we decided to work with GG for our tankless water heater maintenance. The price was upfront and reasonable and a different technician came but equally friendly, knowledgeable and diligent. He shared upfront what he was going to do ( you'd be surprised all that goes into this) and approximately how long it would take ( barring any issues) and when he was done, you'd never even know anyone was here it so clean. Third experience was with a shower that wasn't producing hot water and we had a third Good Guy come who expertly assessed the situation, gave us the proposed plan and fees and came back to fix it when I received the part from the mfg. this technician also spoke to us as if we were family or friends when he gave us tips about turning on the hot water even in bathrooms that weren't being used because the parts can break if you don't use it. so he told us how he runs everything at least once a month and now we do that and think of him. Recently, we had to replace two faucets in our rental and of course called GG who came quickly. I had a question about the work and called the home office and without question they had me talk to Rob, the service manager, who spoke to me with respect and full transparency and I felt genuinely heard and understood. ZERO EGO and no patronizing. ( as a professional woman who doesn't even get that from other male colleagues, this was a a big deal) Faucets in and working and tenants happy- goal accomplished. GG Plumbing is not set up to be the cheapest service provider but it's clear they pride themselves on delivering the best experience and outcome at a very fair price ( including warranty). To me the peace of mind working with a trusted company is key and they won me over.

At…read moreleast with car repairs, you find someone you can trust and you stick with that guy until the end of time. But plumbers or electricians? Egads! Who can you trust? Who's not going to overcharge you or try to find imaginary problems that also need repair? Well, in this case it was Jet Drain. Earlier that morning, Costco was scheduled to deliver a new washing machine to replace the one that died after over a decade of faithful service. RIP. After they showed up an hour too early unannounced, they told us the valves were the wrong type and in the wrong place so they wouldn't hook it up until we called a plumber. Oh my! Turning to Yelp, about 4 businesses responded and I chose 2 I felt had the most solid reviews. Jet was the first to show up and immediately I felt these guys were trustworthy. They explained what needed to be done and pointed out what Costco would be checking when they returned. I would have had them start right then but I had one more company coming out for an estimate and didn't want to blow them off. They were pretty honest too but he started with a complete overhaul, tearing down the wall and replacing all the pipes for $1,800. Now I know I will need that one day but Wednesday was NOT that day. He did give me a lower quote for what I actually wanted but Jet was still cheaper. I asked the other company to send me the estimate for installing the valve box and drainage system for future reference. He said he would. He never did. Glad I chose Jet. I called to see if they could return that same day to do the work and they were available. There was a problem with the old connectors not fitting the replacement valves so the job became more difficult, thus more expensive. They were able to cut one of the pipes in order to solder a new connector for one valve and he went back to Home depot and located a different valve that did work on the existing pipe saving me a few hundred dollars. That meant a $300 job only increased to $450 instead of the $900 he originally thought it would cost if they had to bust the wall in order to cut the pipe, although he did bring the price down to $750 because he felt bad the job was becoming so expensive. Thanks to his diligence, the price only went up a bit even with the extra time and labor. Plus driving to Home Depot to try and find something to make the project work. I am so pleased with the service I got from these guys. I'm not sure if it was Abi or Aramis (I neglected to get his name) but I would recommend Jet Drain to anyone looking for a plumber. These guys are now my go to. I've got a handyman for the little jobs but if I need the big guns, it's Jet Drain all the way.

Professional and courteous but overpriced. Therefore couldn't hire this nice gentleman.read more
