It's too bad they had to bury their beautiful work. They promised one day of prep, one day of pipe pulling to replace my old clay pipe with new pipe, and one day for the city's inspection and their cleanup. Everything went according to plan, and I believe their price was reasonable. I waited for decades to take care of this problem because I thought that it would be enormously expensive to dig up the entire 30' from my house to the sidewalk. That would produce enough dirt to cover almost 1/2 of my front yard. I considered pipe lining, but I was concerned that I couldn't clear any future problems with a snake without damaging the lining. Instead of digging a major trench or lining the old drain, Mattucci dug a hole at each end of the old pipe and pulled the new pipe from hole to hole. The STD-17 pipe they used is both flexible for installation and very strong for a very long lifetime afterwards and no more roots. They discussed the plans ahead of time with the city senior inspector before beginning work, so there were no problems with the city permit or the final inspection. Tyler, Olsi and Matt had previously completed many pipe pulls similar to mine, so there were no hiccups or price increases. I was surprised how much effort they spent on the third day repacking the dirt and cleaning up their work. They had saved patches of grass before they initially dug the two holes and they put each patch back exactly where it came from. Except for the newly installed cleanouts, there was no sign of the extensive work they had performed during the previous three days. I was impressed and very happy with their work. For a complex job like this one, I would definitely go with Mattucci again.

So, I finally reached out to Mattucci to get another quote and see what they could do. They responded right away, came out to my property to assess everything that was needed, generated a quote , and scheduled a time to come do the work soon after that. The quote was reasonable, and seemed like a fair price, given the level of work involved. Unfortunately, I had some additional work that needed to be done that was not determined at the time of the quote, but was discovered once they got into the plumbing. They let me know what needed to be done, why it needed to be done, and how much it would cost. From start to finish, everyone was knowledgeable, professional and great to work with as well. I'd recommend them to anyone needing plumbing for their home!

His price was within estimates range including the additional work I requested, so I was happy and gave him a 25% tip for coming same day, ontime, doing job with additional work and referring me to someone to Patch the drywall that was broken out, who came the next day. I needed a gas wall heater for my rental house. Found Aloha Air on Google Search and Yelp…read more Max, the owner, came out to assess the situation. To come out for an estimate, it was $150, which would apply to the cost. I didn't notice on the estimate I received, the BTU was lower than what was being replaced by 10k BTU (original heater was 35k BTU). It was my oversight by not confirming with Max that it would be the same BTU. Lessons learned. He did explain that 35k is overkill for the area being heated....roughly 500 sqf and the lower heater BTU of 25k would last longer. The installers were neat and tidy and made sure they cleaned up the area after installation. The cost is definitely on the high side $2,200 (cost of the wall heater was $724 plus a new thermostat). It took about 2 1/2 hours to install. So labor was definitely on the high side. Hindsight, I would've gotten a couple of more estimates.

There were definitely some challenges along the way, especially with permits in our city. Apparently it is much tougher than others when it comes to permits, and it ended up requiring a lot more paperwork and extra effort than he expected. Even with all that, Cyrus stuck to his original quote and never tried to charge us more, which we really appreciated. Jaime and Jesus handled the installation of the air handler, ductwork, and heat pump. They worked hard, were very respectful of our home, kept things clean, and honestly were much quieter doing the work than I expected considering all the cutting and installation involved. They also worked hard to finish ahead of the timeline they originally gave us. Inspection passed with no issues, and now we've been using the AC for months with zero problems. Overall, we're really happy with the work and would definitely recommend them.

He suggested it could be a bad bulb connection (take it out and clean the contacts) or an issue with the wall switch. Sure enough, it turned out to be our dimmer switch -- it just couldn't hold the charge properly and was causing the constant flickering. What really stands out is that Ian could have easily scheduled a service call and charged me a couple hundred bucks to come out. Instead, he gave me the exact fix for free and saved me the hassle and expense. In a world where so many companies push for paid visits, this level of honesty and helpfulness is rare and genuinely appreciated.
