We had used this company about 9 years ago during escrow when purchasing our house and they replaced sewer piping. So when we needed a repair to a leaky sewer pipe we called them to fix it. Miguel and his crew did a good job, going through the flower bed into the crawl space to do the repair with minimal damage. Our was a difficult case. What started as one gas leak repair turned into multiple gas leaks. We had our gas shut off by So Cal Edison three different times over the course of two weeks. Each time it was because a new leak (or leaks!!) appeared. Wilson came each time and addressed the issues that kept surfacing. Ultimately he replaced all the gas lines and repaired three other leaks. Disappointing after all of the great reviews. My main sewer line was clogged and my toilets were gurgling. My go-to plumber was not available so I contacted True Rooter. They jetted my sewer line twice but the problem persisted. They stated that the problem was my plumbing and not their services. I was able to get my go-to plumber later that week and he stated that there were roots still in the line. Now everything has been working perfectly. Woke up on Sunday morning with no hot water. We had a house full of company staying with us, so needed service right away. Miguel from True Rooter answered right away and told me he had someone available. The water heater was 14 years old, so rule of thumb indicated it needed to be replaced, but I was hoping that a repair was possible. I discussed with Miguel and he quoted me on replacing the thermocouple and I asked him to send a tech. Tony arrived as planned and we both discussed the situation. Due to the age of the unit and an exact replacement part not being available, it was questionable if the repair would even solve the problem. I decided that even though it would be a longer process and certainly more expensive to replace than repair, I asked for a quote on installation of a new heater. Tony gave me a couple of options and was very thorough in explaining the different units he quoted. There was no charge for the estimate and I advised him I would get back to him shortly with my decision. I did get another quote that was competitive, but I felt comfortable working with Tony and gave him the approval to proceed. He said he could return on Monday (the next day) to do the work. He kept me updated on his arrival time that morning and began the install mid morning. During the work, he advised that a couple of additional things needed to be done to bring the unit up to code and replace old original fittings (house and plumbing is 40 years old). The additional cost seemed reasonable, and in the interest of safety and upgrading, we went with the additional parts and labor. I should add that access to the heater was limited, but Tony forged ahead. He turned on the new heater and left to give it time to heat up so that he could check the pressure and to make sure it was all good. He returned and gave the thumbs up on the system. He went over everything with my wife and we had plenty of hot water that night. I was very happy with the communication, expertise and work that Tony did and do not hesitate to recommend True Rooter for any plumbing needs you may have.
