Friends invited me to meet them for dinner. I had been to this location when it was seafire and enjoyed it, so I was curious to try the new (to me) restaurant. It wasn't very busy and there was live music. We sat immediately and looked through the menu. I went with the Reuben. Others in our party got a French dip, fried zucchini spears, fries, and a burger. The Reuben was really salty but it tasted okay. The meat was a bit skimpy and I had to ask for more sauerkraut because there were just a few strands on it. The zucchini was good and so were the fries. I didn't try anything else. Our server was also the bartender and it seemed he had a lot to do. I did have to flag him down for water and extra sauerkraut, but he seemed happy to oblige. It was a nice night. I would come here again but try something different.

Lipstick on water cups! Gross! So gross.

Was in a rough looking area. Looked condemned. Had a coupon so that's what brought us there. Lady seemed aggravated we were there. Maybe she had a bad day and was upset, but it seemed she was aggravated. She sat us and left and didn't come back. The table had some crumbs on it. No napkins on tables so I couldn't even clean it myself. Dining area was empty. Completely empty but 4 or 5 ppl were at the bar. A man came, was really nice and polite but must have just got back from a smoke break. He was so polite and was there for such a short time, was no need to say anything. My daughter and I are allergic, she wasn't close to him and I just ordered fast. So not really an issue. We ordered and he left. Took a while but eventually the food came. Kids meal looked great. Kraft Mac n cheese was as it is in all restaurants, Kraft tasting. My girl loved it. She's a huge Kraft Mac n cheese fan. We stopped getting it years ago because we eat healthy at home but while out we let the kids choose, it's like a little treat while out. She opted for fruit and it looked good but unfortunately it was slimy, I tried it and it had something added to it, it was slimy indeed, we didn't eat it, plus milk was warm, so gross but eventually the gentleman returned and we asked if we could switch milk for juice instead and he was fine with that. Apple juice was fine. No refills though. He didn't return for refills. Hamburger was decent. Asked for them to not have creams nor sauce, just plain cheese, tomato, lettuce and Mayo on side, but they still put the sauce on them. Thankfully the sauce wasn't too bad so we ate without complaint because we were hungry. Tomatoes were incredibly thick. I didn't mind but you may. Crab cakes were weird. Tasted frozen, thawed in microwave, mushy. Zero crisp to the crust. Mushy n soggy. Avoid the Crab cakes. Served on liquidy slaw. It had an Off flavor. Two bites in, I decided this will get one sick. So I didn't try more. We never saw the lady again and the man wasn't seen but when he brought the food, not sure where they went or who was serving at the bar but it was such an odd atmosphere. The coupon shows it as a restaurant but don't trust the photos, it's as the name suggests, a bar but I doubt that grill part, the food all seemed nuked. Nothing was grilled. Even though they have a restaurant area, it was deserted and rightly so. The gentleman I'd imagine is a great bartender, I don't drink so I guess I'm not the best to say, but the few moments with us he was friendly and respectful, but we waited a LONG time for our food and then even longer for the bill. So maybe he was bartending out of sight. Seems only the lady that never returned to the restaurant and the man that was mostly out of sight the whole time were it. The worse part of the lunch... Lipstick on water cups! Gross! So gross. The cup also had a smudge of something on it and I didn't want to guess what it could be. Definitely not a repeat place. Lady not welcoming, customers are forgotten, frozen/box to microwave food. Place wasn't clean, dishes not clean. Hamburger edible when really hungry, Kraft fine for kiddos, but not worth the risk when seeing how dirty things were.

Food is good ,service was great Laura makes a good drink and serves them with a smile. The back patio is dog friendly. The vibe is casual and not to stuffy.

They have their own parking lot in front of the restaurant. We went for a late lunch and we were acknowledged immediately. It is free seating. And they let us know the moment we stepped in. There is seating available both inside and outside. Just a point to note: The seating is pretty close together. So if there was a party that is very loud. Their chatter/ laughter can reverberate and echo and still be an annoyance. The server was wonderful. We had initially picked a seat inside but due to the loud chatter from a neighbouring table, we moved to the patio and I was glad we did. We got served immediately after we sat down. We ordered a strawberry margarita for me and a blonde ale for the hubs. Drinks came within 5 minutes. She gave us a bit of time and circled back around to check on us. Then we ordered our lunch Hubs ordered the grande nachos and I ordered the veggie spring rolls. Food came quite quickly. Veggie spring rolls were freshly fried. Crispy but the taste was a little bland. The Thai chilli sauce was a good condiment. The spring rolls were probably from frozen. The grande nachos were good. All the ingredients In there were fresh except for the chips. The steak meat was very good tender and delicious. Minor issues that can be easily rectified. Overall service was the great plus point here Also they are dog friendly on the patio and a very nice chill place to be overall.

We had lunch on the patio today. Ordered nachos minus the sour cream and the vegi egg rolls. The egg rolls were good. Great taste and hot. The nachos overall were good but the chips were stale.

Went in here for lunch. Formerly a Greek place. Good conversion to a American style grill. We had a BLT on cressant roll with salad and a Bison burger patty melt. Both done to perfection and the chef gets the patty melt and grills bread and patty . Salads were just right. Washed it down with Arnold Palmer and coffee. Excellent service! Clean and well maintained. We will be back for happy hour! Try it you'll like it!

    New spot for Thirsty Thursday!!

One stop is not enough to really review a new spot.... so some general overview thoughts. Wine and happy hour choices and prices.... really good. 2 for 1 apps... concept great, need and upgrade on quality and taste. Good not great. Potstickers a bit overcooked and mainstream tots need a very distinctive flavor. Burgers looked awesome and will try that next meal. Just a happy hour run through tonight. Standout was service, Miley was just great. Attentive and super energetic. Loved that for a new spot getting its footing. Good free parking and nice vibe. Go check it out, big upgrade which we need. And lastly, huge sports TVs from every table.... Nicely done.

Food i got was on point and a great deal. Ive been here multiple times with the same experience. Will definitely be coming back for their lunch and weekend specials. Many tvs to watch the games, good selection of beers, and a lowkey dive bar setting to kick back. Staff is attentive and the beers come in nice cold glasses. Great neighborhood spot and alternative to the high prices at the windmill food court!

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was mostly empty, just our table and a couple of people at the bar. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The server was loud and seemed unhappy to be there, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Service was slow, and the food just wasn't good. Definitely not a place I'd come back to for breakfast. My daughter ended up having food poisoning from her classic egg Benedict dish.

    Apple Carmel Crumble.

We stopped in her for the last 10 minutes of Super Bowl . Place was poppin.Wished we had come earlier as they had great super bowl specials. We had the apple crumble for dessert and wine. It was great.

It's really cool. And cozy. We sat at a high-top table away from the bar. We usually sit at bars, but that's ok. Got there late. TV's are everywhere. Not a problem finding a tv with our game on it. Our server was perfection. I think her name was Kelly but can't swear to it. Very attentive and very nice. Good looking, woman, too. The food was good. I ordered the wings. I don't like wing drumettes, especially the really large ones. I prefer the wing tips. Wing drumettes are supposed to be small. The whole idea is that you eat many of them like you would a snack or appetizer, not one or two really big ones where you get full, like a KFC wing. But the wing tips were normal sized. And they were flavored well and cooked properly. We also ordered the nachos. While I appreciate the thought, no thanks. Sports bar nachos should be sports-ish. I mean, melted cheddar or nacho cheese smothering yellow corn chips and chili or ground beef, and beans and jalapenos. The nachos at Junkyard are boutique, like something women would eat at The Henry or Viggilucci's. The Junkyard has a sort of rough and tough motif, you know, steampunk/biker/mechanic/car enthusiast. The nachos should reflect that theme. Other than that, we will definitely be back. OH!..one more nuance. The back corner tv's are blocked by this huge "Junkyard" sign over the pool table. Hope those tv's weren't the expensive ones. Maybe raise or lower that sign. My view in photo.

Alex and Reese are always so nice and welcoming anytime we come. Alex is amazing! We always engage in conversations with the workers who are always so kind. The food here is always delicious and comes out pretty quickly even when they are super busy. We have tried a variety of drinks and food here. Appetizers I would recommend that are delicious would be: spicy garlic edamame, truffle fries, buffalo wings, poke nachos, fried calamari, chicken lettuce wraps, and guac and chips. I enjoy trying the different ciders, hard kombuchas, and cocktails on the menu. The POG and Jamaica ciders are so good. And the employees do a great job with offering tastings of the different drinks on tap. Overall, we have always had an amazing experience every time we come. They even surprised us with an anniversary dessert when we told them we were celebrating. Thank you to all the amazing employees here!

The staff has always been friendly, and it's definitely a fun place to meet up for drinks. But honestly, I really don't understand the hype around the food here. I don't think I've ever actually liked a meal I've ordered, let alone loved one. Every time I give it another chance, I leave disappointed. Last night I ordered the steak bowl and it had almost no flavor. It also came with a ton of large broccoli stems that were undercooked and woody. For $25, it just wasn't worth it. At this point, if I come back, it'll probably only be for drinks or maybe happy hour apps.
