Went for the first time at the end of June before vacation with a groupon. Still have lashes now...TODAY and it's almost August after getting a small touch up of only 20 lashes per eye in mid July before another vacation. They r so amazing I'm willing to pay full price for a new set when I need it! Thank god for the groupon so I could test them out and see. Too bad they don't have after 5pm appts. These ladies are incredibly sweet. I was 10 minutes late due to weather and they were really nice about it. I get eyelash extensions because I hate mascara because it always seems to get in my eyes and mess with my contacts. Extensions are expensive but now I don't have to even worry about make up and still feel like I look semi-awake. This place also offers tons of referral discounts. It took about 90 minutes and I opted for 80 lashes with a C curve, 10/11/12 mm length (her recommendation). It's really hard not to fall asleep since they play classical music and put you on a really comfortable bed! Only downside is cash only. Highly recommend. read more

I had my eyelashes done a few days ago & was immediately in love with the results! I've gotten my lashes done quiet a few times in quiet a few places in Manhattan & while they always came out just ok, I was never as satisfied with them as I am with my lashes done here! I told her I wanted an in between dramatic & natural look & she did just that. I also always wanted to try the c curl & while other techs from other places told me the hood of my eyes were too chubby for c curl lashes, my tech gave me c curl & they look awesome!!! I wish I asked my techs name before writing this review :(, but no allergic reaction no red eyes, she used hand sanitizer before working on me & thankfully all is well. Came here with a Groupon and it was such a disappointment. I paid for the 110 lashes - I've gotten lashes done a number of times and know how to take care of them- however starting that day and each day since many lashes fell off- I called and emailed to get them fixed prior to leaving for a vacation and while the staff was very polite and tried their best to fit me in the touch up would still have cost me 70$ after having the lashes applied less than 10 days - it's now two weeks since I got them done and I have approximately 5-6 hanging on on each eye. Would not recommend or return here simply bc they do not last anywhere near the time they are promised to. Go to lashes on 5th. read more

I'm disappointed to have to write this review. I bought a groupon for 110 eyelashes, which I have been getting at different lash salons for years. I had a pleasant experience and my lashes looked great. After just a few days (about 6) my lashes started to thin out a lot. Everyday more kept falling out. It is not about 10 days and there are hardly any left. I was away for work, so when I got back I called the salon to tell them of this as this has not been the norm for me. I am very careful with my lashes and take care of them. I called to talk to them about the issue and see what they would do. I was told that I would have to get a two week touch up for $70 because they only fix up to 24 hours. I told her it hasn't been 2 weeks yet, and I haven't experienced lashes fall out this fast. She told me that most clients have to come in within a week for a fill-in, which means an additional $70. I told her that doesn't seem right since I paid the money and her response was, "well you bought a groupon". I asked if the service was different because I bought a groupon, and she hesitated and said no. I explained that I still bought the groupon, and that doesn't mean it was free. She said next time we will use stronger glue. I told her I didn't want to write a negative review without speaking to them and seeing if we could come up with a solution, and she said I would have to pay for the fill-in. I was disappointed that they refused to work with me on fixing these, and it seems they aren't happy with Groupon customers, and seems they give discounted service. Was looking forward to using this as my lash salon as it was very convenient to where I lived. read more

This place is friendly, comfortable and clean. They did a good job on my lashes. They look very natural, so if you want a more glamorous look, definitely speak up. A couple of drawbacks...they don't take credit cards and the service seemed to take longer than other places. That being said, I will definitely go back. As soon as you walk in, you can smelll the candles. The ambiance automatically puts you into a relaxed mode. It was my first time getting eyelash extensions and I loved my experience! I've been to Maison de Lash twice. The first time was great - the people were nice, the space was clean and comfortable and, most importantly, my lashes lasted forever! I got 80 lashes on each eye (with the lash length ranging from 9-11, J curl) and it looked very natural. I went again two weeks ago and asked for the same thing. While the experience was still pleasant, I feel like the lashes fell out very quickly this time around. I am hoping that it was just a one-off occurrence, and am going in for a touch up soon. Place was ok. I purchased through groupon. The whole process took about 2 hours. The lashes looked fine initially but then started falling as of day 2. I have been to several other eyelash extension boutiques around NYC, but these by far are the most natural. came here with a groupon on 4/28 - 10 days later im sad to say 80% of my lashes have fallen out.. although they were not as full as i would have liked from the start (groupon was for 110 lashes per eye.. usually very full). I usually get to about 3 weeks before this many fall out. i've had my lashes done at a lot of places and two cons about this place were 1- it took 1 1/2 hours.. a little longer than normal and 2- my girl was not very gentle, especially toward the end. usually i sleep through the whole thing! other than that the place was nice, staff was super nice, and price was great. just wish they lasted a little longer! read more

Don't visit this lash Salon! I had the most terrifying and unprofessional appointment ever this afternoon. After having my appointment rescheduled twice I showed up to have my lashes done. My technician taped my lids shut and started the lash application. After about 15 minutes she clicked off the lamp and left without saying a word. I was left on the table for about 10 minutes and finally had to call for help and ask that the tape be removed from my eyes. The receptionist was apologetic and told me the technician was upset over a car accident that she had the day before. I understand if the technician was upset, however being my appointment was already rescheduled because of this situation I would have expected another technician to make sure I had a great experience. I was then told that I could not be refunded as my purchase was through Living Social but they would give me a complimentary set of lashes. Thanks but no way would I go back to this place. read more

I have always wanted long thick eyelashes. Mascara always looks cakey on me, and fake eyelashes are uncomfortable. So my daughter suggested that I go with her to have extensions. I really didn't have high expectations, being 70 years old and always having short, unimpressive lashes. There were many choices - I picked the shortest, most natural looking. It was a pretty comfortable process, once I got used to the feeling of not being able to open my eyes for and hour and a half. When finished, I was very pleasantly surprised at the result! My eyelashes look and feel completely natural, even though much longer and thicker than my own. I just have to remember not to rub my eyes! After 2 weeks, they don't seem to have fallen out much at all, if any. I am definitely planning to do again, and am thinking about doing a bit longer and more curly next time! I've been to 7 different lash extension places on Groupon and Maison de Lash is by far my favorite. The lashes stayed in for over a month (unlike other places where they start falling out after 2-3 days). The rest is pretty standard, with beds and blankets. But how long the lashes stay in is by far the most important thing to me and Maison de Lash wins. read more

Very nice people and nice salon BUT they didn't listen AT ALL to what I wanted. I've been getting my lashes done for two years, but they said they recommended much shorter lashes and so I ended up with lashes that looked like I was just wearing a little mascara to work. I went with a Gilt voucher and asked for dramatic, I asked for cat eye, I got short and as undramatic as you can get. They are nice, but THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO YOU AND THINK THEY KNOW BETTER.
