Edit: now that I've unpacked all my boxes, I'm missing my Nikon DSLR. Not only have these workers proven to be real shitty at their job, they also stole. Do not invite these thieves into your house and pay them to "move" you. These are the worst movers. Let's count what they broke: 1. 4 hand painted dishes that were boxed, labeled : FRAGILE PLATES. 2. King size bed: lost a leg for structure. TAPPED one weight bearing end because they broke the wood and thought we wouldn't notice. 3. Wrecked my newly painted and installed baseboard in a newly renovated home. 4. Did not use spacer provided to equally install slates on twin bed. 5. Did not take apart our barstools for transport and now the stools wobble like crazy even after tightening. Do not hire these guys. They were wreck less and threw our boxes around even when the boxes were label FRAGILE in big words. Some boxes were stacked even when it was labeled as "do not stack" These were the most expensive and careless movers. An extra mover showed up and I called the company about it. They didn't even know they had an extra worker on the job. Is that worker even a legit employee? Because the team manager told me not to tell the moving company, his buddy is just "tagging along". After moving five times in the past five years, I decided to hire a moving company during these difficult times and went with Maison Moving based on their yelp reviews. I made an initial request off their website, and Marlisha contacted me right away to go over my estimation and agreement. She was accommodating, professional, and quick. Moving day came, and Maison Moving contacted me to arrive earlier than scheduled due to a few spots opening up, which was great. Alton and Eric P were my movers. They have dollys, extra boxes, packing tapes, and blankets. They were excellent and professional in handling my boxes and furniture; everything was intact. From the second floor, Alton (so strong) passed my bedframe over the stair rails to Eric, who was on the first floor! If my housemates were home, they would of flip! They safely maneuver the bedframe over the rails without hitting the light fixture or damaging the wall. **applause** Overall, everything took about 5 hours, and they were efficient, friendly, and transparent with the times and cost of my move. read more

Do NOT use this company. The movers put a sizeable and permanent dent in a wall (in addition to numerous dings and scrapes). At the time the movers were very apologetic and said the company will send someone out to fix it or they would reimburse me. I wasn't upset (it happens) and still tipped the movers. Corporate on the other hand made our lives a nightmare for the past month. They refused to send someone to assess/fix the damage. They arbitrarily offered $50 without any sort of justification. They implied that they were being generous and they didn't have to offer me anything. The rep at the claims department (Daniel Berrie) and everyone else at the office were rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. They clearly have no regard for the damage their company caused. Customer service is not a priority with this company. I've been patient and provided estimates from contractors to repair the damage they caused and still they offered the arbitrary amount of $50. Clearly they hoped I would just give up and have me sign an agreement that I wouldn't leave a bad review or post pictures. $50 to warn others not to use this rude, dismissive, and disrespectful company is worth it. I'm glad to never have to call those cowardly and callous people again. They can keep their $50. read more

I have been a (Moving) and storage customer since 2013. Before they changed the name to Maison it was Affordable Moving and Storage. The storage fees were always a struggle, but getting my entire household out of storage was made impossible by Maison. They said I had to pay their movers to unload my crates of belongings. (I had 6 of them) then have movers of my own load the contents to move them out. On the original day of the move they prevented me from retrieving anything from my dresser drawers or to touch anything. Yes, I was evicted and I guess in their eyes that made me scum. I am not. I paid them for the packing, moving and storage. Prior to this move I had used them to move my household into storage for over a year and then into this residence. I am elderly and was experiencing financial difficulties after losing my pension. Just because I couldn't pay rent did not mitigate my standing as a good customer prior to my financial difficulties. For 6 years I was without my belongings. During COVID I fell behind in my storage fees. I was very ill with COVID and was in and out of the hospital. I now suffer from Long COVID on top of being elderly. None of this alters the fact that I have paid them in excess of $25K for their services. Three moves and two storage periods. In February of this year I received a CERTIFIED LETTER informing me of my balance due and an auction date of APRIL 10, 2022. I sold my car, borrowed money from family and tried to contact Stephanie to make arrangements to both pay the balance and finally get my belongings out of their possession. After several attempts to reach Stephanie she sent me a very hateful email stating that I have given up my rights to my stored items and that they had been auctioned off in February. I admit that news gave me a complete breakdown, that required hospitalization. I was already grieving deeply for the loss of my beloved dog of 18 years and this deception and resulting devastation pushed me over the edge. I am 68 years old. I had a lifetime of belongings. Furniture, fine rugs, art, jewelry, family photos and so much more. It wasn't just my residence, also the contents of my garage were packed and put into storage. Years passed and they changed their name, moved my stored belongings from Irvine to Chino Hills. I was not informed of the move until after the fact. The illegal auction which was on a date prior to my Certified Letter's stated auction date of April 10, 2022, has completely devastated me. At the age of 68 I lost everything to their deception, avarice and complete lack of compassion for a long time customer. I would NEVER have let them auction off my life's belongings. Conservatively speaking I lost in excess of $250,000.00 worth of belongings including my designer clothing, jewelry, art and priceless family photos. I have described it to my doctors as akin to having my home and everything in it burned to the ground. There was no need for them to do such an overtly evil thing to me. They sent me the letter with the auction date and I took extraordinary steps to get the money for the storage delinquency funds and to pay THEIR warehouse movers to open my vaults, remove them and load them onto a moving van and out of Maison's possession for good. I cried for months, and still do. I lost everything I own plus my beloved dog in a few months. They went from a 5 star review in my eyes with the first move to a minus 5 for an act of pure evil. I reported them for elder abuse and manipulation but nothing mitigates the fact that they auctioned off my belongings far in advance of the auction date stated in the certified letter of April 10,2022. What they did was unforgivable. I never changed my phone number, my residence here in San Francisco has been the same for 3 + years and they never bothered to call me about anything. I am gobsmacked at the pure evil of such a thing. It's been months now and I am still in shock and deeply traumatized. I contacted Maison Moving for our move to Temecula form Chino. My contact Person was Melissa. I made sure that Melissa was aware and everyone else that I spoke to that we have a Yamaha Baby Grand Piano to move with the rest of our 5+ bedroom home in Chino. The contract price was based on Maison providing 3 trucks and 6 movers. The movers arrived on-time with 5 movers and three trucks. None of the personnel knew that they are moving a baby grand piano and therefore they did not bring a truck with a liftgate. They waited for more than an hour to get the right truck. During the move they damaged the bannister on the stairs and the walls. When asked who was the lead person, none would acknowledged to take the responsibility. Upon walkthrough of all the items to move, the movers still managed to leave three closet of our clothing and other items in the backyard storage. The movers refuse to complete the job and move the rest of items. I called Maison Moving twice and spoke to someone and complain about the movers but did not get a return call from any supervisors or manager. I understand that I might just sent a bunch of unprofessional movers but I at least should have a manager or supervisor returned my call. I will not recommend Maison Moving to anyone. read more

To anyone considering Maison Moving, PLEASE read this review. I called this company to schedule a move. I spoke with various people on different occasions. I was promised by Stephanie, Doug, Phillip and Cecilia that everything would be done same day, and that they could disassemble and reassemble my furniture. I was scheduled for a move on Saturday, March 16. I was advised that the movers would be at my residence between 12pm-5pm. I received a call after waiting all day and after 530pm from a guy named Cordero. He stated he could not come to my place of residence to do the job because he did not have "tools" to disassemble my bed. It sounded like ge didn't even want to do the job to begin with. I asked him what can be done since I paid for the service, and was promised that the job was going to be done. He gave me the runaround, stating he has to "call his supervisor". I received a call after 6pm at this point, and Cordero tells me that he was advised by his supervisor that I was "buying tools" so they can finish the job which was a huge lie. At this point, he said if I wanted them to finishing what they could, I would be charged a second day so they could finish the next day. I was in complete disbelief. They then stated they would have to schedule my move on Sunday, (I needed to take time off work, lost income because of this company), and after tons of miscommunication from Maison moving, they finally came, and even the new movers on Sunday were surprised at how it was handled. The company did not have the audacity to even reach out to me about the situation, despite them being aware. Do NOT do business with this company, they will not fulfill your requests. They claim on their website and over the phone to "take your move personally", but failed miserably to live up to that standard. read more

Jorge & Armando were great. Quick, efficient, took apart the Queen bed in no time and put it back together just as fast at the destination. No time wasted, no overtly bubble wrapping the most mundane things that require copious amounts of time to unwrap it (see my review about A2, nightmare) - they took the refrigerator down that A2 said couldn't, when I urged the guy that it was delivered from Sears in one piece, through the door he said was too small. These guys accomplished it, easily. They also moved my washer, dryer, and the weights in the garage I told the other guys to grab, but didn't. Maison moved us yesterday. The team was lead by Paul Schaeffer. He called the morning of the move and stated when he would arrive withing the block requested time. We have a tight private long driveway and both trucks were able to be negotiated with care to the front door. He and his team did a great job wrapping, packing, and loading. I was worried the player piano would damage the wood floors of the house and there was no damage to the floors or our belongings. The team acted with efficiency, care, and professionalism. But Alton & Eric P. got me out of crappy situation in record time, protected my grandmother's incredibly fragile vintage jewelry armoire so no damage on way to its new home, weren't judgey of my super awkward roommate encounter, were incredibly patient & friendly as I chatted their ears off, were respectful & efficient plus even went above n beyond to reorganize my ENTIRE storage unit to ensure the addition of my million boxes of shoes fit, but tetris-ed them all allowing room for more - whereas most companies would've saved the time & effort by merely adding on top of the mess. I can't believe how neat n organized it looks now!! I almost cried haha (man I'm a sucker for organization lol). After doing some research and calling around for prices, I'm happy that I called Maison Moving to move my bedroom furniture. Maison isn't the cheapest, but they're not expensive either. The company has a moving rate that is fair and market comparable. Edgar and Eric arrived at the address where I was moving from and from the beginning both were very professional, yet friendly and efficient. They did a fantastic and quick job of disassembling my bed, which was not very easy. Edgar and Eric quickly loaded up the rest of the furniture taking the time to wrap it with protective blankets and carefully taking it out of the house and into the truck. Upon arrival to where I was moving to, again they quickly and carefully unloaded the furniture and placed everything just where I wanted. Edgar and Eric even reassembled my bed, in it's entirety, which was a job in itself. In the end Edgar and Eric were able to complete the entire move within the hourly minimum and as said before, they were very professional, friendly and efficient. I am extremely satisfied with their work. I give a 5 star, A+ rating to this company and their workers and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stress free move. The crew smoked pot and then found an excuse to not finish the move, while charging for 1/2 day's work.

We are unable to find our receipt to get the names of the two men who moved us (think it was Ramon and Jose) but these two gentlemen were wonderful. We cannot thank them enough for the very hard work they put in moving us. They took special care to blanket all our furniture and thoughtfully considerated the best ways to move our extremely heavy and large furniture down the stairs so there was no damage. They were extremely polite, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Upon arrival at our new home the movers took care to place our belongings where we requested. This company quoted us a price far lower than on our last move and that was less than 10 miles. We cannot say enough about the professionalism shown us. A really wonderful moving company. read more

Second, I was impressed with how much daily communication I received from Maison Moving via phone, text, and email prior to the move and on moving day. I was able to make adjustments 2 days prior as I had a firmer idea of what we did ourselves and what we wanted the movers to do. Third, move day went very smoothly, quickly, and comprehensively. I had excellent communication and coordination with the 3-person team. They took care with all belongings. They packed the contents of the closets and cabinets and unpacked them at the destination (my choice). They even worked around the cable TV technician who happened to be at the new apartment at the same time and around my bed-ridden relative. We used Maison to move from Mission Viejo to San Diego and they were amazing! It was easy to get a quote and it was very reasonably priced, especially given other companies that were giving me rates that were twice as high as what Maison gave me. The movers showed right in the middle of the time-window in the morning and went straight to work. They helped us gather all the loose items in large boxes and were very careful and efficient with moving the furniture. We lived in a three-story town home, so we're incredibly amazed at how quick they were able to move everything even with so many stairs! They were good sports when they got to San Diego, even with a two hour drive in traffic. They asked where to put boxes if it was unclear on the labels and made sure we had the furniture where we wanted it in each room. I just had an experience with Maison Moving. I thought they did a great job, and thought they were great guys, until the move. The guys unloaded my items at my new house. The following day after they unloaded everything, I noticed my handgun was missing out of my truck. Then, a few days later, I noticed a series of my checks were missing. A couple days after that, I found out that a check was written, and cashed in the name of Valenten Guza for $700 that I did not write or endorse. Turns out, he was one of the employees that was introduced to me at my previous address with that name. As of now, there are numerous investigations happening. As far as I'm concerned, they do not do full background checks on their employees, as I have found out. I not recommending anyone to use them in the future. Just beware!! read more
