We get takeout from here when we visit family sometimes, and it's always delicious! My favorites are the lamb kabob and the chicken kabob. The tasty lamb kabobs are enough to fill just about anyone. They may be made to order since mine took about twenty minutes which is a nice break to sit and look out the window at the ranch. They are out of plastic knives and each dining in customer has to ask for silverware. read more

I visited this location last night for dinner. The food was great and exceeded my expectations. Even though I live a little further, I would have no issue making the drive here again. The service here is 5 stars all the way. They are remodeling inside so it's not as tidy as I'd like it but doable. The food is a 3 out of 5. I found it extremely bland and we ordered a bit of everything: Naan; hummus (good); samosa (extremely; curry chicken; tandoori salmon; chicken tiki (bone in and the best meat of all...it took the award); chickpeas; gyro; tandoori lamb chops (my son said they were delicious as well); veggie platter with spanich, rice, squash, and egg plant (the eggplant was delicious), everything else lacked seasoning. I tried this restaurant with my boyfriend and his family and it was so so good! I am a bread person and they brought out some fresh baked naan the size of a whole plate for each person's kabob. They had me at the bread!!! The meat was flavorful and moist with cut onions sautéed on top. We had chicken and lamb kabobs and the salmon as well and everyone loved it. The service was amazing - the food was ready pretty quickly and I was very hungry! On top of all of that the restaurant is beautifully designed and really clean. When this Maiwand first opened, the restaurant would serve us full Platters of the excellent food, often taking some home in a doggie bag. We have been coming here weekly every weekend for lunch or dinner in the weekends. However, Lately not only has the quality of the ambiance gone done, often with staff in the kitchen yelling at each other, but the quality and size of the portions have declined. This chicken bone in tikka is the best Indian style succulent and magnificent dish I've had. The Afghani rice is delicious as well as the fresh salad and dressing in the platter. It comes with 4 or 5 tender tandoori pieces. The samosas with perfectly thick and immensely tasty green chutney to dip the chicken samosas in is icing on the cake. My husband & I ate here for the 1st time on Sunday. The food was fantastic!!! We both ordered lamb. (Lamb kabob & lamb chops). This place is an amazing addition to Clarksville, instead of driving far for it. The Gyro's are amazing----that "orange sauce" is delicious. I'd buy a bottle.
