Loving this new location of Maiwand Kabob in Clarksville! We've been ordering delivery online, and it's been 10/10 every time. I like to get the chicken kabob platter, and my husband likes the lamb kabob. With the platter, you have an option to get three sides with your choice of entree. My go-to sides are the potato curry (super yum!), chickpea curry (also yum!), and the seasoned rice (again yum!) The 6 pcs samosas are the perfect appetizer for two people. Everything is absolutely delicious!

The food was excellent and the service was good. The ambiance was pleasing, but the temperature was very cold inside.

I visited this location last night for dinner. The food was great and exceeded my expectations. Even though I live a little further, I would have no issue making the drive here again. The portions were nice and big so I had enough for dinner and lunch the next day. If you are looking for a new place to try. I definitely recommend this one.

Lamb curry - Friday special I can't even begin to articulate the flavor explosion in this dish. I Cynivised it by adding seasoned basmati rice. #FeedsMySoulStatusConferred you'll have to go an try it out for yourself. I added the sides: salad and spinach. The salad fresh mixed greens. I think that the dressing was a light vinaigrette base with a strong dill presence. Spinach was cooked to the perfect texture, leaving it still having a little bit of bite and not being mushy at all. Good seasoning as well. Be sure to order a side of fresh bread, it comes out piping hot as it is made to order. Soft texture , with starting this, allowing you to scoop the sauce. The decor and vibrant moving music coupled with ethnic women associated to the style of food and a diverse group of others ordering and dining in confirmed this was were I was going to have lunch at. It was clean and very nice. Looking at the prices I was a little caught off guard but where am I going to find a meal from now days under $20? The attentive and patient staff took my order and helped to make my decision of getting the curry lamb special over the lamb kabobs. I ordered to to. I sat for about 10 minutes or less and my order was up. I decided to sit and eat and absorb the upbeat vibe. My food was hot and great presentation even in the to go container. The lamb was very tender and the curry was a bit on the spice side and creamy but not too much for me. I absolutely enjoyed my entire meal. The portion given was a lot so I have left overs. For those ordering to dine in, the plates are even bigger and its semi full service. The food is brought out to you and the tables are cleared. You would have to get your own utensils and beverage. It was such a large lunch rush and the folks in here served up great customer service and food wuthout hesitation or issues. I will definitely return.

For appetizers, we got Mantwo and Bowlawani- it was absolutely DEMOLISHED. Mantwo is basically afghan dumpling, and the filling was incredible savory and had a meaty texture. The was my favorite appetizer, stuffed with spiced potatoes, lentils, and chives/leeks from what I saw. The dipping sauce of yogurt and mint went amazing with it. For mains, we got the Lamb Lawand and Lamb loin chop. The lamb lawand was this savory rice dish- they served it with mushrooms and a side of beautifully seasoned spinach. It came as a stew that you were able to mix with your rice as you please. As for the lamb loin chop, it was incredibly tender- falling off the bone. Dessert was difficult, as I am deathly allergic to all nuts. My partner got the hazelnut chocolate cake, and from what I heard they rated it very highly. I got the afghan ice cream; the flavor were incredibly unique, with notes of cardamom, saffron and rose water. I usually have a problem with rose water in my desserts, as it ends up tasting overly flowery or soapy, but I think it was executed well. The toppings of dates, mangos, and figs went incredibly well with the flavors of the ice cream. My only complaint was the service being a bit slow, but at the time we went it was incredibly busy, and I don't blame the workers. Otherwise, this was a great place to go to for an elevated meal! Not TOO fancy, but not too casual either.

I wanted to try multiple items but for some reason wasn't very hungry so I went with the vegetarian aushuk and the mashawa soup. I also ordered the bread to dip in my soup. Everything was very tasty. The service was excellent and the overall vibe of the restaurant was pleasant. I'll be back for sure.

To my luck, we had great Uzbek food less than 15 mins away! It was a while ago but we ordered the samsa, manti, kutabi, plov, and chohohbli, and I can't recall what else but we loved it! Last night my husband and I decided to dine in. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with cultural artifacts and art. This may just be a me thing but the serveware was envy worthy. It was gorgeous. I'm obsessed with beautiful dishware. There were only two people taking orders and serving food for an almost full dining room so we were understanding of a bit of a wait time. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us when they could. We ordered the khachipuri, samsa, oxtail, chohobli, steamed rice, pilmeni, and hot tea. Both the khachipuri and samsa were flaky pastries: khachapuri filled with a salty stretchy cheese with a cheese pull that tasted better than it was Instagram-able and samsa filled with a savory meat/onion mixture served with a tomato based sauce. Get one per person because you will not want to share. We ordered fried mini dumplings which are filled with meat and also served with same tomato based sauce that came with the samsa. They were delicious but afterwards I saw that you can get them steamed in a broth, I told myself I have to get that next time. The slow-cooked, tender oxtail was served over the best crispy, fat-fried potatoes I've ever had. The chohobli (chicken stew) was fall off the bone into a delicious tomato-based stew. We ordered the rice to sop up the delicious stew. The tea really helped to cut the richness of all the delicious food. I have not shut up about this place since we had this meal. I will rave about it to just about anyone that will listen in hopes that they will come with me next time so we can order more dishes to share.
