Ok let's start with the fact I was an extension virgin when I arrived at Tilly's Magical or Majestic Elegance. I accidentally ended up with a consult with Tilly and what a joyous accident that was. So she made time for me even though she was already well into her work. She was honest and provided options for hair extensions. She advised me on color and styling. I truly was so excited for my appointment because I love this lady to start but she is so positive and so clearly excited and happy to do her work and make her clients happy. I got my first set of extensions and I loved them. I came in with a blah blah hairstyle that was just some hair on my head but there was nothing about it making me happy or motivated me personally. I followed Tilly's advise in the care and maintenance of this hair and found my groove and confidence. Tilly is not just a masterful stylist she is a beautiful person inside and outside. She brings an upbeat vibe while working away. The salon is lovely and has ambiance but the true focus when you go to a salon is service and outcomes. Anyone who has their hair done by a professional knows it's an investment and people want value for that and this salon delivers. Tilly is so flexible she will even let you bring in your own hair. You heard right she is so skilled and confident it doesn't matter what method you are looking for she can do it. More important she will tell you when what you want would not be a good idea and if she is sure what you are looking for will result in damage she will not proceed. I have sewn in wefts and let me tell ya her braiding game is the best in town with confidence I feel her history and experience makes her a top stylist if you need any service that requires braiding. I have that fine,limp, slippery hair and her braids stay in! The cost of this work which takes a lot of time and effort is quite reasonable here compared to others and the fact is there are limitations to what can be offered at other locations. Tilly wants you to feel good, she demonstrates excellence in her craft. The quality of the work is second to none. She is beyond creative and knows what will look good with the shape of your face, tone of skin, even eye color. She makes people who have never felt beautiful walk out feeling great. Rude! My appointment was set for 400pm. I arrive 14 minutes early. A lady yelled from a salon chair," Who are you here for?" I said Ira. She said, "That's me, and you can just sit down there" and pointed to the seats. For 15 minutes she sat in a salon chair scrolling social media and talking on the phone sipping tea. At 401pm she had not acknowledged me. I LEFT! This woman was arrogant and pompous. I will not go there again​. Was really nervous going to someone new to do my highlights/balayage. Having black asian hair it is harder to lift and most stylists take hours bleaching, break my hair, and still rarely get the Ash tone I want. I pretty much always end up with reddish blonde with some caramel. With Tilly, I only showed her a picture and she pretty much just knew what to do. AND I left with softer, healthier hair with her products. My hair was super damaged as seen in before photo and reddish. I asked other stylists and they said it will take 4+ hours to get it to Ash blonde. Tilly was done with mine in 2 hours 15 min with blow dry!! Wow!! How on earth did she do that? The easiest 10/10 I could ever give- in every category! I called Majestic Elegance after reading other positive reviews, in tears after my hair was bleached and nearly falling out from another salon's mistake. The owner kindly said I could come in and they could see how they could help- the SAME day I called! I was so thankful for the opening she had made for me. When I showed up to the salon I was greeted with a (beautiful) and reassuring smile, and with more tears I sat in the chair. The salon itself was peaceful and beautifully decorated with nature scenes, water fountains, and plants. A very nice change compared to the typical glamor and glitter at every other salon. The owner reassured me that she would be able to help and we would NOT have to cut my hair off. She knew exactly what to do to fix my hair- giving me both options and her advice which I loved. I am pregnant and did not think to eat before my appointment. I had a couple pieces of candy and the owner noticed- offering me real food and something to drink. I've been to most of the high-rated salons in town and I'll never let anyone else touch my hair with scissors except for her. She listens to exactly what you want and is HONEST with you about your hair in regards to achieving that particular look. She is the expert, so I always listen to her and I'm so happy that I did. Tilly is AMAZING!!! I went in today with very damaged, bleached hair needing my roots touched up. She was very honest in telling me I would need to wait a few weeks longer before she could do it due to my dryness and damage. Instead she suggested doing a deep conditioning. She shampoo and conditioned with lovely fragranced products and applied the deep conditioning mask and put me under the steamer. After rinsing this out, she dried and styled my hair and even trimmed some of the damaged hair off, but not too much! My hair has never looked or felt this soft and beautiful!
