For many years, we have used Major League Pest (MLP) for pest and termite treatments at our primary residence and rental property. MLP recently assigned a new pest control professional, Angel, to our account. Either MLP is extremely lucky or they have very effective employee selection and training processes. Angel is responsive, dedicated and so easy to work with. He calls in advance to inform us of his arrival time and asks if we had any specific pest-related issues since the last service. Upon his arrival, he knocks on the door to announce his presence and then proceeds to diligently perform the contracted services. Angel also has terrific customer interaction skills. He is polite, genuinely friendly and his behaves in manners that assure MLP clients that he's serious about providing the best possible service. When we first started using Major League, it was pretty good. I did have to call to get them to come back out because they missed some spots. I was getting charged $89 every other month but when I switched to monthly, they wouldn't give me a discount, it would be $89/month. For several months now, I had to call because they failed to show up for my scheduled service week. Once again they missed my October service so I called and left a message. No phone call back. I called again with a request to cancel my service. No response. I'm done with Major League and will be going to someone else. This is awful customer service. read more

Like many others out there we are having pest control issues with spiders and other fun insects that enjoy the backyard as much as we do. Mike Ortega with Major League Pest came out to walk the property and inspect the grounds and vegetation for trouble spots. He provided some ideas as to what they can do and what to be aware of with water features in the yard to help manage pests in the area. At the end he provided a written estimate / quote on the spot along with answering any additional concerns or questions we had noting we had a small dog on the property. He was very professional and represented the organization very well. As a note we also reached out to other pest control companies in the area. I gave each of them feedback around their pricing and services along with if we were going to go with them or not and why. One of their competitors who has a very high rating and review count on Yelp appreciated the feedback and shared they felt we were in good hands with Major League Pest and they respected the work they do and the organization they built. I appreciated that feedback and found that to be what healthy and respectful competition was about. I thanked them for their comments and felt even better about our decision to go with Major League Pest. You know if one of the largest and most well known service providers in the area says Major League is a good, respected organization you know they have earned the respect of their peers and their clients. We've been using the quarterly service for a couple of years now. There is a significant decrease in spiders around the outside of house and ants have not invaded the inside. The things we're dissatisfied with is the attention to detail during the service. They do not spray the entire perimeter even though we make sure there is plenty of access and they do not knock down all the spider webs that are in high traffic areas and clearly visible. The technicians are here less than 5 minutes and for that reason I do not think it's a good value. read more

We've had Major League Pest out to our house twice. The first time we had termite droppings and the owner Paul came out to access the situation. Because it was contained and just a small area, he was kind enough to provide us with very easy DIY instructions to fix the problem. I had him come out again recently because we heard small scratching noises coming from what sounded like our attic. Paul came out again and inspected the attic area and found no signs of rodents. The noises were actually coming from our roof. They are incredibly thorough in their inspections and very helpful. They are NOT one of those companies looking to rip you off. Cannot say enough good things about my experience with Major League. We had what turned out to be a localized termite problem. Paul came out and was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly, had no interest in just making a buck (very rare these days). He presented us with 3 different options, including a very cost effective DIY option and didn't charge for the visit despite sitting in traffic for 45 minutes to get here. The crew from Major League Pest that did my termite wood repair did an excellent job. When they arrived they talked to me about the pending work and took the time to do it right. The wood joints were patched tight and painted with my house paint making everything match. In the end they cleaned up around the house ensuring no nails or debris were left behind. I called Major League Pest to schedule a routine termite inspection. The phone receptionist was very friendly and scheduled the appointment within a week. The inspector Rick gave me a courtesy call before he arrived for the inspection. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me during the process. He mentioned what he was examining and his treatment recommendation. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to up sell me on services. He even check the all of the second story awnings of my house. Other companies in the past have only checked the first story awnings due to convenience reasons. Watch out! Guy came out to give a quote for termites, and tried to sell us on thermal heat treatment instead of fumigation (which if you add in all their extra costs and warranty would've cost the same as fumigation). He took "samples" of our wood and basically hammered huge dents into our rafters/wood fascia. Good thing we got quotes from other vendors, as they all basically said that was a scam and we would've had to fumigate anyways in 6 months, as well as repair warped windows. read more

Highly recommend. A very ethic and knowledgeable company. Paul was very professional and helpful. I needed a termite certification for a home refinance. We had the house tented 2 years ago and multiple wood repairs prior to purchase. I reached out to that company and 2 others prior to Major League Pest. There bids involved retreating the entire house. Paul stopped by and identified the issues as resolved. He explained what a new infestation would look like. He saw the issues as resolved and not needing further treatment. He told us what to look for in the future and to call them in about a year for another inspection. He saved us well over $5000. Paul, die owner of MLP was very thorough with the Termite Inspection in our home. He patiently answered my questions and explained everything I needed to know without high pressure sales techniques. He pointed out all the areas that needed wood repair because of Termite and dry rott damage. Paul's on side team did an amazing job with the wood repair and they left the work side clean and tidy. Afterwards my home was fumigated and hopefully stays termite free for a while. I also like that MLP offers a free 3 year warranty with one Termite inspection a year. After posting my original review, I received a phone call from the owner of Major League. He was genuinely concerned about how I had been treated, and spent quite some time on the phone with me asking questions about my service, starting from day 1. I believe he truly feels sorry for how things went and wants to use this situation as an opportunity to improve how his employees deal with customers. He has chosen to take action to make this right with me. I don't want to put him in an awkward position by stating what he's done publicly, but I do want to state he has done so without me asking for it, nor was it contingent upon me updating this review. Overall, there are one or two "bad apples" in his barrel of employees, but I do believe the owner is addressing those issues. If you're looking for pest control, they are at least worth calling and getting a quote. If you run into issues, call and ask for the owner. I'll bet if they are valid concerns, he will address them. read more

I'll start by saying I don't typically go out of my way to write reviews, but it's hard to stay quiet about a quality company and an excellent customer service. Had their inspector Dan Nowtash do a termite inspection on my house. Eddie in the termite office was very kind about working around my schedule and made himself available to answer all of my questions. I don't want to use the word "savior" but Dan found a significant amount of serious damage that I didn't know about. He referred me to their pest department to talk about my general pest issues. Kaden helped identify specific pests and went over how to deal with my drain fly issue. Since then, I've also talked to their technician specialist Tony about dealing with my spider issue. Their prices are fair and service is impressive. I would urge anyone with pest or termite problem to find out for themselves why it was incredibly worth it for me to write about a pest control company. read more

Our new home was inspected and treated for termites by Major League Pest. We've been in our new home a month and somehow we have a rat problem? How is it possible to tent a whole home and still have an active rat infestation? I refuse to believe the reasoning provided to me that its an unfortunate incident that occurred in the 1 month we have been in the property. If there were areas where a rat could enter the home, or areas to point out, shouldn't this have been in the initial inspection report? Learning experience on my side I suppose. Always negotiate to use your own Pest Control company as a buyer and not let a seller use their selection. It will probably keep unexpected "issues" that pop up later. read more

Major League Pest was one of three companies we had come out because we were seeing evidence of termite damage and droppings in different locations around our house. Rick V is experienced and knowledgeable and did a thorough termite inspection. He saw termite infestation in areas others missed. He patiently explained his findings and recommendations and was very accommodating and responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the process. The termite report was clear and concise, which wasn't always the case with other pest companies. The Major League quote for whole-house fumigation and wood repair was more reasonably priced than the others. The fumigation preparation and process went smoothly. George did a good, skillful job on the repair and replacement of damaged wood. George has a great attitude and aims to please. We had a gopher and spider issue so we contacted Major League Pest. They sent one great tech out, but he soon moved to another job. Then the techs played musical chairs and the service suffered. So I cancelled the service. After about 6 months I called them back and a really good tech and promised he would service our house. He had 26 years experience and understood what it takes to keep the pests at bay. Just found out they fired him - so I went with his new company! Major League pest does ok IF you get the right guy... there are several that are just downright lazy! read more

We are selling our house and wanted to get a look over by the company we used 2 years ago when we bought the house. Rick came to take a look and did a very thorough job. He was very friendly, polite, knowledgable, and self-sufficient. I liked that he remembered doing the work a few years ago. Don't recommend for termite inspections. In short they did a subpar inspection and missed a disseminated infestation. I'm glad we got a second opinion. Got a termite inspection 09/03/2020. The office line personnel were very professional in setting up the appointment, no issues there. The guy that came out was nice enough but commented that my pregnant wife didn't look big enough and told her "at least your body won't be ruined then". Regardless... weird but harmless I guess, just annoying an unprofessional... no one asked your opinion on the physiology of pregnancy. Big issue was that they said on the inspection there was only one local area that needed to be treated in the garage, no widespread infestation. It was like pulling teeth getting the final Quote and after a long wait and many phone calls we finally got a very vague quote that didn't really explain anything. Decided to go with Green Flash for a second opinion and the guy was super respectful and knowledgeable. He walked around the house and inspected everywhere. He showed me spots that could have easily been missed where termites burrowed through the fascia and it looked fine externally at a glance but he prodded it with a metal pole and the wood was rotten and eaten away. He went into the attic and found dead swarmers and activity everywhere and showed them to me so I understood what he was saying. Last guy did NOT go in the attic. Getting the house fumigated now! Glad we got a second opinion from someone else. read more
