Mannys drew a diagram and told me what was required to address each issue (formal paperwork and diagram was emailed after a couple days) and answered all my questions. My house required a tent and I wanted to get the repairs completed first. We scheduled the repairs and tent work, all of which were completed on time\schedule. A couple of times after he came I had to reach out because I notice a nest or huge web with big mama spider in it. I continued to watch evaluate my yard etc after each visit. The first time I was ok. We used Manny's Pest control to perform a termite inspection on a home that we are buying. Since we are from out of town it was important to find someone that we can trust. Over 8 years had passed and signs of termite presence were showing up in our Oceanside, so we decided to make the move. Those who have done this once know it is a daunting task for the homeowner as well as the company you pick. My wife researched some North County companies and 3 appointments were lined up. As it turned out Manny was available first off, with the others scheduled the following week. I told Manny we simply needed a tenting, not a long-term, follow up process of any sort, and Manny simply provided the quote and described the process and the work necessary on our end. Manny's Termite Service is a local Oceanside family owned business who has established long term relationships with quality "tenters" who do the actual tenting. Manny discussed the process with no high pressure tactics or "special pricing today" approaches in a very helpful way. Having some idea of the cost range we would be seeing, we decided to hire Manny on the spot and get things rolling. As mentioned, the home-owner end of things is no picnic, but we did our duty. In our case, Manny teamed us with Rudy of Lethal Injection, again a thoroughly professional and courteous partner. Tenting began around noon on Tuesday, and by the time I checked on the house 10 am Thursday morning all the tenting was packed up and wecddd were invited to come home. I am so grateful to have found Manny. Two months ago I had the wretched experience of rats in my walls and home. I used another company that advertised in my HOA newsletter. They did take care of the 2 rats in the home and left me to deal with the awful after effects. They filled a couple of holes with steel wool which was to discourage any more invaders. We had this company inspect our house for termites and we set up a date to have our house tented. My wife and I spent 2 1/2 days in preparing for this including having our two houseguests stay at a hotel while we stayed with a friend. On the morning of the agreed date SDG&E shut off our gas but this company was a no show. We called several times during the day and we received a text that they would return our call but never did. Finally that evening we got a call saying they would show up the next day but no explanation for the delay. After hearing that response my wife who is usually an easy going person is not very pleasant to be around right now so we are looking for a more reputable service. This taught us though that we should take these 5 star Yelp Reviews with a few grains of salt and maybe a shot of tequila? read more
