My review is LONG overdue... we had my son's 4th birthday here a few months ago. The place had just expanded and did not yet have tables in their newly remodeled space. However, they easily accommodated us and brought in some temporary chairs and tables for our large group. (I did just walk by today and saw it is now fully furnished). The space was perfect! Large enough to handle the large party group. The employees felt like family! They checked on us to make sure everything was just right, offered menu suggestions, but also gave us space without the pressure of feeling like we needed to leave. The pizza? AWESOME. Everyone raved about the pizza and salad. They also allowed us to bring in our own fruit tray and cake which was very appreciated. Can't say enough good things about this place. Took another 40 minutes just to get two personal pans when everyone else got there's first after ordering after us. Wow. This place has to be out new favorite for pizza and salad. We called from the Inn at Port Gardner and asked for delivery. Absolutely the BEST French Dip Sandwich EVER! The bread is toasted nicely with a thin crispy exterior.... and a interior that holds up to the most flavorful beef aus jus! The meat is a generous amount of tender, sliced roast beef and real!... I guess I should've known when the place was dead during dinner service. The staff is really grumpy. The gal greeted me in a flat tone with, "What do you want?" While I waited the 30 minutes, I could see the staff in the kitchen. No one had gloves or a hair net. All of the staff had on a mask, but pulled down to their chins and not covering their faces. After 30 minutes I asked for an update on my wait time and gave my name. The lady said, "WHO?!" Turns out my pizza was done but not boxed. She glared at me and grunted out, "done..wait 3." I recently bought a condo in the area and I've been trying to find where the best places to eat around here are. I came across major league pizza on Yelp while trying to find somewhere to order delivery, the good seemed outweigh the bad on the review so I thought I'd give them a try. I order the garlic cheese bread and the heat (medium) pizza with added jalapenos. I was quoted 30 to 35 minutes for delivery time and they were right on with that. The pizza was nice and hot, didn't seem like it was sitting in the car forever like most places you get delivery from. The boy that I talk to on the phone when placing my order (Zack I believe?) Had exceptional customer service skills and was probably the nicest person I've talked to on the phone in a long time, I feel like phone etiquette is going the wayside but not with this young man. The garlic cheese bread was so good! I guess I was a little hungry because I forgot to take the picture until after I had already started eating it! I do wish I got a little bit more sauce as I ran out after just the first or second piece. The heat pizza which has buffalo chicken and blue cheese was good but not excellent which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, the chicken was a little chewy for me and the blue cheese kind of dominated the taste, the buffalo sauce and the other ingredients give it really nice flavor though. I'll definitely give major league pizza another go round and just order something different on the pizza end the next time. I can not speak on the quality of the food unfortunately, but that's because of the terrible phone customer service. I personally called three times and got hung up on all three times, that's including by the manager Andy. My girlfriend called three times as well and was put on hold 12 minutes, 10 minutes and then 21 minutes and hung up on after each time and all she was doing was trying to finalize our order on one large pizza and a two liter. read more

We used to be very frequent customers (like weekly) until things were only good/right about 50% of the time. We took a break and recently placed an order. It showed up 25 minutes passed the stated time, the dip was missing, it was luke warm, and the cheese slid to one side. I did call and was told a credit would be added to our account. I'm not sure if it's for the missing dip or additional. The employees are usually very nice and the pizza is good when it's correct. I ordered for delivery yesterday when it was snowing a little bit and then it started coming down hard. I was expecting a long wait for food and for it to be cold. Holy cow I was blown away. The food came so fast, it was hot and everything was delicious. It was delivered by the owner too! I used to eat here all the time when I was at school nearby, their sandwiches are soooo good. This experience put them over the top for me. The customer service was phenomenal and our food was perfect. We ordered a personal pizza, fettuccine Alfredo, breadsticks, and a turkey sandwich. Well, I placed my order 20 minutes ago. They forgot about my order!!! Never got an apology just a comment about mistakes happen and I had to demand a refund because my lunch time was over and I had to go back to work, with no lunch. I've been hearing good things about Major League Pizza for months now. Sadly, my experience was not so great. I tried them for the first time and was excited to try the Grand Salami with Buttermilk crust(This is a thing?), I sat down at 7:05PM. The counter person said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. at 7:50PM still no pizza? I asked and it had been sitting in the back ready for god knows how long. No one called out my name and no one brought it out to me. When I got it home, it was room temp. This is not a deal breaker. However there was no wow factor. In fact, I almost wondered if they ordered the pizza from Pizza Hut. The buttermilk crust was ok but not a major deal. The combination of toppings was perfect. Not too many, not too little. Ordered delivery from these guys during a pretty good down pour one night. It was difficult to hear through the phone on both ends but we managed to complete the order pretty efficiently. I got the grand salami with garlic crust sans mushrooms, Italian wings and garlic breadsticks. They said it'll be there in about 45 minutes. 45 minutes pass by and I hear a knock on the door. True to their word! Service through the phone and from the delivery driver was nice. The pizza itself was tasty. It wasn't over loaded with the toppings. The crust seemed more thin than I'm use to, but it held everything together which is great for a pizza. Great flavor and an overall nice pizza. The wings, which had nice crisp and flavor, were yummy and the garlic breadsticks were good too...they could have used more garlic butter. (It was rubbed or tossed on, but most of it went to the bottom of the container they came in.) BUT, all items were still pretty hot when it arrived so that's a plus. I would order here again. This was the first time I've ordered MLP. I've heard great things about it and the ratings are really high, so I thought paying 20-something dollars each for three large pizzas would certainly satisfy everyone. I was so wrong. I ordered the Ball Four, Garlic Chicken, and I think the Pitcher's Mound (I thought it had red sauce though, not thousand island....). The only one that people found acceptable was the garlic chicken. I felt the same way, but I think it's still the worst garlic chicken I've ever had. Again, overall the taste of the pizza was barely within acceptable limits, but for that, I wouldn't have paid more than $15 per pizza. I'd choose Little Caesars over MLP. Normally I don't do this, but I'd recommend Good Guys Pizza or MOD Pizza or Pagliacci Pizza. Roughly the same price, but wayyyyy higher quality food. read more

VEGANS BEWARE~~ So I was so excited when I saw this place had a vegan pizza and large clean kitchen to not cross contaminate the food seeing as I don't eat gluten either. I had been ordering this so called "vegan" pizza. Let me just say all the staff is really really nice before I drop my complaint and if you're a meat eater or vegetarian you won't even find this appropriate however VEGANS beware that their advertised vegan pizza is made with "soy cheese" containing a milk protein. My stomach is in knots seeing as I'm allergic to dairy also very sad and angry. So if you're vegan DON'T get the unvegan fielders choice. I will never ever eat at this establishment again and hope they consider rephrasing or switch to vegan cheese. I'm actually really surprised to see the number of positive reviews, and now it makes me wonder if some of these people have ever had good pizza. I'm in town on business and stopped in here on a Friday night and ordered a medium pizza (with linguica, mushrooms, and jalepenos) and an order of boneless hot wings to go. Customer service was actually very good, friendly, and prompt, and the food arrived in a very reasonable amount of time, however everything else about the food fell short. The boneless "wings" were not boneless wings at all (usually you get pieces of chicken breast about as long as a finger), these were little tiny balls of processed, breaded chicken that were obviously frozen and from a box. I could have gotten much better from the frozen food section of the grocery store, for far cheaper. The pizza very much confused me. Typically jalepeno's are much more expensive than mushrooms right? Apparently the restaurant doesn't realize this, because I must have gotten a good 25-30 jalepeno's on this pizza. How many mushrooms did I get? I got 4... Actually I really only got 1, plus 3 little chards of mushroom strategically placed around the other 3 quarters of the pizza. Very, very disappointing... The total was just under $27, but really I think the meal wasn't worth more than $10. I wont be back again. read more

Ordered their monthly special off their website last night without knowing that they have not updated it since December. Thought I ordered a Roast Beef, Garlic, mashed potato pizza only to be disappointed when a completely different pizza arrived. I called and informed them I got the wrong pizza and that it was not touched. They told me they haven't updated the Website and oh well sorry I was out of luck and it was my fault I didn't notice that they have not updated the monthly special in 3 months. Are you serious! 3 1/2 stars. I only been here once and ordered half cheese and half pepperoni, but the pizza only had two slices of pepperoni and the rest was cheese! Not a big deal. But the pizza is good but not great. There are better pizza spots that i have been too. It has great reviews, its a really nice spot with tons of seating and TV's. This review is based purely on the pepperoni pizza - the only one I've tried. (I always try a classic pepperoni pizza at a new place so I have a basis of comparison with other joints.) It was pretty swell! The crust was cooked just right, it wasn't too greasy, the cheese had good coverage and flavor, and the pepperoni itself was zesty and with just a little spice. They were a bit slow - but I'm OK with that at pizza joints. The people (owners?) smiled when I came in and ordered, but otherwise seemed distracted. But what really makes me give them a 3 star rating - what brings them down to just average for me - is that I can go two blocks North on Colby and get a (possibly better) Pepperoni pizza for half the price (at A Pizza House, if you were wondering.) Major League is majorly expensive.
