Went at about 1215 for lunch and it was not very busy so I didn't have to wait at all. By the time I left almost every table was taken. Service was consistent and orders came out relatively quickly. THE worst experience ever! If I could give it negative stars, I would! We visited this establishment tonight with my daughter and sister. Upon arriving we noticed that the place was packed but no one else was waiting for a table. We were quickly seated at a table which seats 6. A lady came right after us and she was seated at a table for 4 people (she was by herself, waiting for the rest of her party to arrive). As we were getting settled, a group of 8 people came in through the door. We didn't think anything of it but noticed that at this point the restaurant was packed & there were no more available seats left. This is when everything went down hill. The host went up to us & asked if we had a reservation. He obviously knew we didn't, he seated us. He said that the group that just came in has a reservation and that the table we were seated us will be given to them. We asked then if we will be moved to the other table where that one lady was sitting, the one who came after us and was still waiting for her party to arrive. They said no. Mind you, she was by herself and still waiting for her party to arrive but we now have to give up our seats and wait for when a table becomes available. My daughter was so hungry that she literally started crying. They would rather let a child wait and go hungry than to make it right and tell the other lady to wait until her party arrives. We were shocked and appalled by the treatment of their staff!! We left and ate somewhere else! We will never visit this establishment again and will be happy to support other small businesses in town! read more

Silly thing to rate, I know. But, when it's rainy and cold, I love green tea. They provided what tasted like warm water. I asked them to bring me the tea bag so I could steep it longer - they just refilled my cup with more of the warm water liquid. You definitely leave with a full belly but they charge you $1 per piece of sushi wasted so don't over order. We ordered 4 rolls and 6 apps, however the apps only come with a few pieces. Wasn't sure what to expect. A friend suggested that our girls' night out be held here, and I'm always a little leery of all-you-can-eat places because the quality is usually lacking. However, this was extremely good! Service was friendly but had trouble keeping up with the constant demand from all the tables. I think we would have been out of there a lot sooner if service had been able to keep up. None of the three of us were ordering/eating all that much, but we sat for so long in between that it probably kept us there longer. Food was good quality, though. This was my 2nd time eating at this place. Their ambiance could definitely use some updates and modernizing. My brother and his wife (both vegans) met me for lunch. It was recommended by my best friend who raves about how fresh their sushi was. It was so good that my brother wanted to come back to eat here for his birthday (and so we did). They pushed two tables together in the corner. $24.00 for adult $10.95 for kid (my 4 yo) My one year old was free Everyone got unlimited option and my dad/my husband got their own entrees. Normally at places like this, when someone chooses unlimited everyone has to do it. I'm happy that they don't force it on the whole table. It says a lot about trust. We started our with kani salad, seaweed salad, sweet potato tempura, shrimp tempura, Japanese egg roll, golden scallop, chicken satay, calamari, salmon teriyaki, vegetable udon, & miso soup. We also ordered shrimp tempura roll, spider roll, all types of veggie rolls, eel avocado, salmon/mackerel/white tuna sashimi. My 4 year old loved his sweet potato tempura, chicken satay, calamari, golden scallops, and even tried salmon teriyaki. Everything was really tasty (except for their coconut shrimp). My one year old wound up getting sick and had to leave dinner early so I asked them if they can kindly wrap the noodles I got for him. They agreed to do so (which was nice) but they should've told me for courtesy they were going to do a $2.00 surcharge. We also mentioned it was my brothers birthday and it was awesome that they surprised him with a friend ice cream on the house. I've been to a good number of AYCE sushi places in NJ and this one is alright. Although the food is tasty , the service is this place's downfall. This place is small, but even with 3 servers this place is pretty chaotic and can take quite a while to get your food or anything else you may need. Because there are so many takeout orders, the kitchen is so backed up and can cause delays in receiving food. Maybe everything is better on a week night when it's not so busy, but avoid going here on a weekend if you can. This is a small sushi restaurant in a strip of stores. Although unassuming the food is amazing. I've eaten here a few times and the freshness and quality of the fish is always outstanding. The wait can be long since they have nothing pre-made so be prepared to wait on Friday or Saturday night. We were 3 moms with 6 little girls age 3-9!!!! The kids LOVE sushi and they were able to try new things with the all you can eat menu. Let me start by saying I come here to fulfill my sushi cravings. The food has always been good and pretty fresh tasting. Has always been take out since I live nearby and the dine in area is pretty small and cramped. They are very inaccurate with your orders though. When I do take out, typically one sushi roll is different. I'm not one to call and complain so I normally let it be, and I'll just try the different roll. This last time, I decided to do the AYCE for lunch, I know the sushi is good - so why not. The waitress was very nice, I let her know my brother has a gluten allergy and he's going to avoid the crunchy that they add to the rolls, asked her is there anything else he should avoid? She said the eel sauce has gluten. For the AYCE, we ordered a bunch of sashimi, sushi and specialty rolls. There was only two of us, to give context. Sashimi, gave the correct amount - we were happy. Sushi, gave the correct amount but gave us a different fish (vs the eel that we ordered) - again, non confrontational, no biggie, we'll try something new. For the rolls, my rolls were exactly as I ordered. My brothers on the other hand; on one they added spicy mayo and eel sauce on top, which isn't listed on the menu; and on the second roll, they added what looked like a tuna crunchy mix, also not on the menu. When I brought this up to the waitress, because my brother physically cannot eat that, she said oh the menu changes. That doesn't make sense, why are you not updating the menu or the AYCE card if it's changed? She then went to ask the sushi chef, confirmed, they messed up and tried to tell me to pay for each individual piece, which I denied. Finally after 3 times of trying to get a resolution, she brought another lady who was physically disgruntled that they messed up but somehow is our fault, and I explained it to her as well - he has an allergy, we let her know and they still messed up. She said ok, what else do we want. My brother got a few more sushi pieces knowing there's no risk of gluten. Will be avoiding their dine in, not a pleasant experience. All in all: sushi is good, don't expect your order to be 100% correct, look up every item if you have an allergy before you go. read more

White tuna sashimi had red worm like string inside it. No other sashimi but the white tuna!!!!!! After being disgustingly rude and not wanting to refund our money (after we will gladly show the odd fish) and not send the driver because "the driver doesn't want to go back", you are the manager but your driver is controlling this situation ? My boyfriend demanded to know his name. He asked him for his name 4 times and after being reluctant to answer he said "my name is Bill, but my name doesn't really matter !" IS THIS HOW A "MANAGER" speaks to people ?! So we resorted to going to the restaurant and speaking to this manager in person. I come here just about every time I visit my grandparents in jersey (they're pretty much regulars). The food is great and the prices are even better. For three adults we spend about 40-50, that's 3 sushi rolls, hot teas, and entree meals (which come with choice of soup or salad and rice). Lunch menu is probably the best and biggest bang for your buck. Sushi- they have your regular rolls (4-5$ not bad) and then special rolls.
