La Rural is by far the best Argentinian steakhouse restaurant in South Florida. We had an amazing experience from our very knowledgeable waiter to the chef and even the owner approached our table to make sure everything was as expected. An hour wait at a subpar Outback and half hour wait at a packed Roadhouse, no way.. we found Malbec and had a wonderful meal! Place was full but tables were nicely spaced. Cool music, very nice bar, tables outside with torch lights for atmosphere. Open grill, they take their meats serious, my sirloin was cooked perfect, as was my husband's ny strip. I was looking for a place where my wife would have something according with her diet (women..right), and I was happy to find a place with steak and vegetables. Since she likes a good chimichurri and etc, I decided to take her there. We got early, around 12:30 and the service was fast and in no time we had our food, a ojo de bife for me and her bife de chorizo. My ojo de bife was huge, so I could not eat it all, but my wife has proven she was up to the task of eating hers (not a small task). Found this restaurant after looking on yelp for a extra nice place to go for a special occasion. I don't like crowds so I typically do early dinners and we were able to make a reservation though we didn't need one. Still appreciate that you can! The atmosphere is nice. And there's ample outdoor dining. We ordered a dish to split for the table (can't remember the name) but it comes with chicken, 3 different steaks, and 3 different kinds of sausages (don't try the blood sausage. Just trust me. Who likes this stuff anyway?? Does anyone go around and say you know what I'm really in the mood for? Blood sausage!) It was pretty gross. (My dogs enjoyed tho). Anyway the meats come out on like a little hibachi type of grill right into the table. Our table was a smidge small for such a big thing like that. This coat $125 but made for several dinners. All side dishes are extra. We got the fries mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were amazing!! Loved them. Mashed were very good too. We ordered these blue drinks that were pretty and delicious and served with an ostrich feather. All in all a very nice dining experience! I had the pleasure of trying new dishes such as blood sausage, sweet bread and savory pork sausages. This was my first time eating cow brain and I have to say that it was the most delectable part of the appetizer dish we had. All of these are available for purchase both at the restaurant and in their small butcher shop up front. My main dish of a skirt steak with sweet potato fries offered up an experience to how I think the bad guy in a bond movie must eat like. Rich, juicy and beyond filling but I found it hard to put the knife down and stop cutting. I do think that the fries could have used more time to dry off from the oils it was cooked in and the steak was pretty dam rare, which depending on who you are is a good thing or a great thing. Lucky though the staff was willing to cook the steak I had a bit longer to get it to a better cooked constancy that I can stomach. Expect a large bill and a rich taste. Worth a look if you want to have a massive meal or try a new and tasty dishes that you never knew existed. read more

I watched customers grabbing their own food from the kitchen , I watched customers return their food to the kitchen, I watched at least 4 tables complain to the owner and I watched 3 tables get up and leave. What a wonderful steakhouse. One warning - make sure you look at your check before you pay. The prices on the menu are not what you get charged. We were charged $50 for a pitcher of sangria when it clearly stated $27 on the menu. We noticed after we paid and asked, the waiter said it was the half pitcher that was $27. The menu said pitcher (see other pics shown) there is no mention of the half pitcher and I used the menu to order the sangria, pointing to it when I ordered. Just ask before you order. Not how you want to end a nice meal - with a surprise in your bill. The good: great portions, great steak cuts and great sides. Food was great! Terrible service and experience. We came here fir a late dinner for our anniversary dinner after reading their reviews for their steaks and I never have tried Argentinian food. We had a platter appetizer at first and wine. Than we each ordered our rib eye steaks first of all it took for ever for them to get to us. There were people who were seated after us who were already eating. Once our food arrived it was not cooked the right way I ordered my steak medium and my husband medium well it was under cooked. So we send them back. Again took for ever to get the food back. Once the waiter brought the food again it was still not cooked right again it was way over cooked. Mind you the food isn't cheap so I would assume they know how to cook steak At this point we were hungry and pissed. We told the waiter we are not going to be waiting for a third time for them to get it right. We saw the waiter go up to the manager and told him what happened. The manager DID NOT even bother coming up to us and apologizing for the issues. I didn't really care if we were going to get a discount which we didn't. The whole time we were there the managers or the owner not exactly sure they were very interactive with other guests which is good but u saw them drinking with them which I found very unprofessional and they had their child late at night running around as well which was very annoying. After waiting 20 minutes for a waiter to finally come to our table outside, we were trying to place our order when he interrupted us to tell us that the tablet he was taking our order on does not work well outside. He stopped taking our order altogether and went to get our drinks. 10 minutes later he returns with our drinks and is able to finally take our order. We ordered a basket of bread for the table which took a while to come out. No butter, no oil to dip the bread in. Just a basket of dry bread. We could not get our waiters attention at all. Once he noticed we were eating a dry basket of bread, he came over to tell us that chimichurri sauce was supposed to come with it. He notices we have one piece of bread left and brings us an entire thing of chimichurri sauce. You would think he would offer more bread considering... no. It has now been a full 60 minutes that we have been here and we STILL haven't received or ate our dinner. Once they finally served us, the La Rural Salad that I got was pretty good and didn't require any dressing. However, my boyfriend's filet was under cooked. Our server was still MIA so he had to literally bring the dish inside to give back to the cook, which returned STILL under cooked. Needless to say, we voiced our displeasure to our waiter who went inside to speak with the owner. The owner didn't address anything or come outside to introduce himself.
