    Dinner to go!
    Rebecca N.

I've been here before with my "Feathers R Us" Red Hat Society group. It's been a while since I've been here. Long overdue. I am glad I stopped in on a rainy night on my way home from having coffee with Rev. Ron and Loan. The soup was cut in half, part for dinner and the rest for lunch tomorrow. I ate one spring roll. I will eat the salad for lunch. I don't think they remembered to give me peanut sauce for my salad, they gave me some other kind. The soup and spring roll was delicious. They were very friendly here and this counts for a lot in my eyes. I look forward to coming back soon. Great place. Pros-they were still open, good food, hot and fresh. Friendly. Cons:prices were a little high. Recommend m:YES!

Fast service, decent sized portions, service was quick but curt. Thai decor. Enjoyed our meal and liked the veggies included.

I had this once before when I was in need of soup and my husband got me take out. I had the Lao soup that time. The broth was flavorful but I didn't care for the ground chicken so I was open to trying something else here. This time we stopped in when passing by, planning to dine in, but the vibe was unwelcoming. We were the only ones there which was fine but the woman working seemed like she did not want us there. No music and not friendly. We got Tom kha soup, pad Thai, lo mein, dumplings and each had a beer while we waited for our food. The food came out very fast, like very very fast. Noodles were decent. Wouldn't get Tom kha or dumplings again. If we had just done take out we might be back because the food is alright but for $80 and that service I don't think we'll be back.

My sister wanted to try this place out after we landed back home from our trip (10/10/2022). The inside decor is unique and gives that Thai and Laos feels. The staff is very nice as it's a family owned business. We ordered the following: Tom Yum seafood - almost like a sweet, sour spicy soups with veggies and seafood. Very tasty. Papaya Salad - delicious salad with peanuts and with a umami flavor Shrimp Pad Thai - stir fry noodles with shrimp and veggies Fried Garlic Stir-fried Frog legs - nicely cooked frog legs with veggies. FYI- frog legs tastes similar to chicken. Khao Piak Sen - chicken soup with rice noodles, fried garlic, cilantro & scallions Overall, the entrees were great with good taste. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The Thai tea was the highlight of this visit Daughter and I enjoyed our impromptu visit and some quality time. We also had wonton soup and the sampler platter. Maybe we can try the drunken noodles on the next visit.

One of our go to spots. Love the fresh spring rolls and soup. I don't think I'd eat in the restaurant but the food is excellent

I looked back at my previous post and remembered we enjoyed their food!! My husband ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Holy Basil. It was tasty but not enough meat. I got the Khao Soi Gai which is similar to the Thai curry noodles. The difference is the noodles, this version uses thin rice noodles. However, I prefer egg noodles, as the rice noodles seemed to absorb the broth, leaving very little left after mixing everything together. We also ordered the Braised Pork Belly to go. We used to love this dish, but this time we found it a bit too sweet for our taste. Overall, we really enjoy their food and will definitely return to explore more of the menu.

The crispy garlic pork with sticky rice was our absolute favorite! Definitely reminds me of Asian street food. The crispy shrimp roll was indeed crispy and the batter was just right and not overly done. My son liked the crab rangoons and ate them all. The braised pork belly over rice was okay. It was a little on the salty side and personally a little too much sauce over the rice. Overall, the food tasted pretty authentic, with the good balance of bold spices and fresh ingredients. Each dish had its own standout flavors, and it was fun sampling a little bit of everything. The staff was friendly and got our order out quickly, which made the experience even better. The ambiance of the food court is what you would expect of a typical food court. If you're craving authentic Lao food and want something quick but delicious, it is definitely worth checking out. There is plenty of seating and the staff is very friendly. Since it is located in Midtown, parking could be tricky. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but it seems to be a popular spot amongst college students. The menu offers a nice variety of asian dishes and they also serve breakfast/brunch on the daily. The interior appeared sort of "run down", but in the best way possible. It was still inviting and provided for a nice, laid back sort of meal. The food doesn't take too long to come out either and it is made fresh to order. We ended up ordering the steamed dumplings as an appetizer. I also ordered a cup of miso soup. The dish comes with 5 decent size dumplings. They are handmade and packed with filling. I appreciated the flavorful pork and the amount of it in them. My miso soup was pretty standard, nothing too special. But is hit the spot on a chilly evening. For our entrees, my friend ordered the beef udon, while I ordered the Lemongrass chicken. The portions are pretty large and we found it to be quite filling. My friend said this was some of the best udon she'd had. The broth was very flavorful, the beef was tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The only thing she didn't like as much was the fried egg, opposed to the more traditional hard boiled egg. My lemongrass chicken was satisfying as well. It came with a copious amount of chicken, with a really tangy sauce over it. The rice was overcooked, which was disappointing. Overall, Bagels and Noodles is a wonderful asian eatery located in Midtown. Its location is prime for college students and I can see why it is so popular. The service is very good and personable. The "hole in the wall" feel of the restaurant makes the atmosphere! The food is made with lots of love and it was served fresh and hot. The dumplings are amazing and I would recommend. My friend is already dying to come back and explore more of their noodle dishes. I will definitely be returning and look forward to trying more things!

The waitress that took it back was a bit rude about it though. The ambiance is alright, just a small quaint place that is more nostalgic than anything.
