Malibu Poke on Oak Lawn is a solid stop for a quick, healthy lunch. I ordered a poke bowl with salmon and tuna, swapped in cauliflower rice, and added carrots and edamame. Everything tasted fresh, the fish especially, and the portion size is decent. You order through a kiosk, which made the process quick and easy, no waiting around for a server to take your order. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff was friendly and the food came out fast. Parking was ample too, which is always a plus in this area. I had never tried Poke before this restaurant but enjoyed the meal we had. We started off with the avocado and chips which was solid but not amazing. I liked the toppings and lemon that came on the avocado. We then got two poke bowls: the teriyaki and spicy tuna. Both bowls were well made, flavorful, and had good textural balance. Both bowls were filling and I enjoyed their teriyaki sauce and classic sauce that came with it. The staff inside were extremely kind to us while waiting. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal and I would come back. Prices are slightly higher than what i prefer but it felt like high quality ingredients which makes it worth it. read more

They make it easy to order with the kiosk screens and most poke bowls are already nicely curated. The staff are friendly and helpful. I usually add extra protein and turn it into 2 healthy meals. The fish options are fresh with good flavor. My favorites are the aioli tuna w/peppers & the mango salmon. I wasn't impressed with the teriyaki chicken bowl because it lacked a good flavor combination. Their pineapple tea is light, and delicious. Go for it! You can't be disappointed. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but I left pretty disappointed. I spent close to $60 for two bowls, and for that price, I expected something a lot more satisfying. The bowls themselves were just okay, nothing special. Both were mostly rice with very little protein or toppings, and the flavor just wasn't there. It almost seemed like they forgot the sauce entirely on one of the bowls. It's also an extra $3 just to add avocado, which felt a bit steep on top of an already expensive meal. The ingredients did seem fresh, but the portions were small and the overall experience didn't match the cost. Got two orders this week to go. A small and a large portion. The only difference in size was the large has one extra meat but the actual size of the bowl is the same. It is a pretty small portion. The fish was fresh and the sauces were tasty. It did not say what the cucumber was marinated with but it was marinated with seeds which was disappointing as I can not eat seed so I had to pick around them as best I could. I am super impressed by this place! Not only by the way they are structured, but the flavors are absolutely 100% there! Nestled in Dallas, this place has tons of free parking, when you walk in there are plenty of tables to sit inside or you can sit outside, and with this weather it's really nice to sit outside. Keep in mind that you'll be ordering on a computer, everything is specified with how big you want your bowl, how many protein you want in it, and it specifies all the ingredients you can put in your bowl! You'll grab a buzzer, and when it buzzes you'll pick up your bowl across from where you order. My order came out amazingly fast, I ordered dinner around 5 o'clock on a weekday. I order two bowls and both of them were delicious. What we really liked was the freshness of the flavors, and the whole organization of the bowl was a aesthetically pleasing. To me a small bowl is just the right size, I ordered a medium bowl and it was way too much. But in a good way. I recommend shrimp and the salmon! Super delicious and definitely add mangos!! On the menu, it has Tuna but I sub it out for salmon. I didn't know how I would like the sauce so I got it on the side. ALWAYS GET SAUCE ON THE SIDE. They have the sauces by the window, you can mix your own. Instead of the chili sauce, I used the wasabi and some sort of aioli sauce. I finished every thing in my bowl. After my workout at One Lagree, I decided to give this poke spot a try. It's a clean and well decorated spot that let's you place your poke order via iPad. I was at first skeptical but actually ended up not minding it at all. Sometimes it's nice to have someone to speak with if you're new to a spot like this, but luckily the gentleman that worked there creating the dishes behind the counter was happy to help! The staff is excellent here, and so helpful. I think with the options they offer, and the delicious flavors in their bowls as well as the rice substitutes has made this poke spot my favorite in Dallas if I must choose.
