This is our favorite neighborhood joint. It's packed pretty much every night of the week! The servers are all amazing and the management makes sure to keep a close eye on all happenings here. The boneless wings are the best deal on happy hour- try the firecracker sauce- I promise it will blow your mind- so amazing (you can get the sauce to go so you can use it at home!!). FYI- If you don't want to be around a lot of kids- avoid coming here Friday nights after the HS gets done with football- they all come here and chill in the dining room while their parents drink in the bar area! read more

Came here for Mother's Day brunch right when they were opening so had no problem getting a seat. It did get much busier as the day progressed. Staff seemed a little stressed at time although our server put on a brave face. Definitely typical sports bar theme and vibe. Fun that they have bag games to play outside. Cocktails and drinks weren't too shabby. I definitely enjoyed the Bloody Mary, simple and straightforward but very satisfying. I ordered one of their steak wraps which was kind of a greasy bar food, best enjoyed after a few more drinks, similar to most of the menu. If you like spicy they have THE BEST Firecracker Shrimp in town! The batter on the shrimp is very light (not like the thick breaded shrimp that you buy in the freezer at the grocery store). You can have it over sticky rice or shredded lettuce. I prefer the shredded lettuce to compliment the spicy sauce. The service was fast. We ordered the spicy shrimp app & the thai chili chicken wings. 14 wings come in an order, which I thought was pretty rare. Malone's is a true local gem. Maple Grove is textbook suburbia and true local gems are hard to come by. We support Malone's not just because they're local, but because they get it right in every regard. Pre (and let's hope post-) COVID, it is ALWAYS hopping evenings and weekends. There's a reason for that. The food is great, the prices are great, the beer selection is great, the atmosphere is great, the employees are great. It's a good mix of sports bar and family hang out. Bar tables are our favorite for catching a drink/bite/few innings. The only thing to complain about is the place is so amazing, you can't just show up on a Friday evening and be seated. Since March, we've stepped up our takeout too and it's been an amazing service. Order online or by phone and select your pick up time. The food and service continues to be just as great, if a little less consistent and varied. We're looking forward to going back in to sit down for happy hour and family meals, but we'll probably also continue doing take out even after the restrictions are lifted because it's been an amazing service. Winter takeout pro-tip: Throw the waffle fries in the air fryer for a few seconds when you get home for crisp, fresh fries. read more

Not worth the trouble. I was invited back via Yelp by one of the managers, AJ, which I thought was a very gutsy and classy thing to do. I told him I'd come back with the family for dinner to give them another shot. The three of us didn't tell any of the staff who we were last night, however, to make sure there were no discounts, ass kissing, or anything else to bias our dinner experience. HITS: My daughter loved her Jimmy Burger and Waffle Fries. Our server smiled and was actually friendly this time. MISSES: Forgot the cream for the coffee, forgot the butter for the baked potato (with the Baby Back Ribs), Walleye Sandwich had several bones, and finally, forgot to check back to refill our soda and coffee levels. Our server had plenty of time to sweep the floor right next to us though. All-in-all, pretty boring food and the service wasn't that hot. After hearing good reviews from a colleague, my wife and I came in on a Monday afternoon for an early dinner. The bar was busy, yet no one was really in the restaurant. Ordered the Texas bacon and cheese burger - medium well with an order of waffle fries. My wife ordered the Nachos appetizer. My burger came out rare and my fries cold and under cooked. My wife's appetizer came with overcooked cheddar cheese. Was really looking for something better than we got. Too bad . . . To their credit, my meal was made again to my liking. The manager came over and comped my meal for the trouble. My wife did not complain about her meal, but I'm sure they would have credited that if she had. I've been here a few times with friends. I've always had great, attentive service. Their happy hour is GREAT! I usually get the flat bread which is really good and it is only $6. Their cheese curds are good too. If I'm looking for an entree, I love their cuban sandwich and their seasoned sour cream. They have an OK tap list, if you're into craft beer. The menu has some good go-to options: fish/chips, reuben, burgers, steak, nachos. I especially like the walleye/chips, with the requisite seasoned sour cream. Malone's has a great "sports bar" atmosphere, without overly complicated happy hour specials. I would love to see some more creativity in the menu! read more

Good service, OK prices, good food, clean interior. Came here to meet up with a group of about 10 friends for dinner. Found out via the website that Tuesday nights are $9.95 Sirloin special. Quite a few of us got the special and it was very good. Great price as well. Beers were somewhat expensive for a Tuesday night. $6 for a big mug. Most shots were around $5. Regular entrees were $13-20. The service was very good, quick drink refills, wait staff that came back often, and reservations that were on time. This place has tons of very large TVs that are all brand new. If you are looking for a good place to watch sports, I'm not sure of the packages they have, but they have tons of nice TVs especially in the bar area. Overall, I would recommend this establishment if you are looking for an easy choice that many would enjoy. Great staff, good food, fair prices, and lots of beer on tap. read more

If I was given a bunch of money and asked to design a restaurant and bar in the Burbs of MN would it be; Big bar, lots of TVs, open area...wait, that's Champs, Buffalo Wild Wings or a half dozen other places. The bar service here is bad. and seeing how half the room is bar that's not a good thing. The food is pretty good but on the OK side. The really disappointing thing is this is owned by the same people that own Maynard's and they have exactly the same menu! Pretty lame that you can't be a little more creative, I guess you can really buy in bulk this way. The service and atmosphere are much better at Maynard's, why wouldn't I just drive the extra 10 miles? Like I said the food is OK, the service can be much better but the place is always packed and I guess they used that magic formula for success in the suburbs! Decent food and drinks, my favorite is the steak bites and the deep dish cookie with ice cream. It takes sometime to come out since they make it to order but it is worth the wait. Can't beat a soft and gooey chocolate chip cookie with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream on top! The biggest reason I give Malone's 4 stars is they participate in charity events. our friends held a fundraiser for their young niece last year who has cancer and for a certain number of hours as a part of the event, percentage of our bill went to their niece's cause. Amazing for a restaurant to offer this opportunity. They were able to use the party room to do a silent auction and everyone who came to support ordered plenty of food and drink and so generous do them to donate proceeds to the cause! Our first time here at Malone's. What a great experience. Even though it was an early Saturday night it was still busy. We arrived at 5:45, they told us it would be half an hour and it only took 20 minutes to seat us. Our food was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Chipotle bowl. My son had the Cajun chocked avocado, and I had the jimmy burger raw onions instead of grilled. I ordered it medium and it came hot and juicy, seasoned perfectly. The jimmy sauce had a Smokey-hot kick that was delicious. Wife loved her chipotle bowl. I noticed fresh jalapeños! The Cajun chicken sandwich had a spicy-Smokey taste my should n really liked. Great atmosphere. I like the open bar space with all the TVs and the outdoor patio. It's a busy place with great staff and fast service. You will get your traditional bar food here, but it's great. The pulled pork sandwich is my favorite and it's phenomenal. I would highly recommend it - they give you a lot of pork and it's smothered in sweet BBQ sauce with great fried onions. Also make sure you swap out the chips for the waffle fries and sour cream sauce. It's so addictive! Looking forward to returning here some time. read more

Was driving out of town with the kids and needed a place that was not McDonald's to stop for lunch. Saw I could get a free beer from yelp for stopping here and so... Arrival was a bit odd - not very busy but told we'd have a 10-15 minute wait, and then seated two minutes later. Our server was obviously very busy and not interested in humoring children. Even mine - and they're hilarious. Just ask them. Also odd, they had kids menus with coloring activities, but no crayons. Even the five year old was like, "whaaaat?". But beyond all that, the kids liked their food and I really liked the kung pao chicken. The food made up for the weirdness, and it came pretty quickly. I guess I got lucky because on my trip to Minnesota, I stopped here when it was surprisingly quiet. My friend and I decided to stop here for lunch because she loves this place. She says the owner is a friend of her fiancés and they always take care of her when she is here. She told me I had to try the shrimp tacos. It was a gorgeous day so we asked to sit outside. The nice thing is, they have TV's outside so if you're there for sports and you want to sit outside, you don't miss a beat. Since we were there for happy hour, my friend and I decided to order mojitos with our meal. They were delicious and not too sweet or tart. We were starving so we ordered a "side of fries." Well the side was huge! It was delicious because they had garlic and other spices on them that made them delicious. They also had great sides to dip the fries in that I didn't even want ketchup, which is my usual go-to. The fish tacos are delicious. Whatever it is they put in the sauce they put on it, makes that dish. The shrimp wasn't over-cooked, the portion size was huge and the flavors where on point. I didn't try anything else and it will be a while before I go back and try again, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. read more
