If you want to come here for a burger.. DON'T! They undercook them badly. We ordered a medium-well done Jimmy and it arrived MEDIUM-RARE. I told them to comp me because just looking at it made me feel sick. The manager (I think, since he didn't introduce himself or give his name) said there was an issue with their temperature that caused it. There isn't an issue with the temperature, there's an issue with their cooking staff and checking the quality of their food. Don't order their burgers! read more

Overall had a great experience here. The only problem I came across was our rather slow server. Although he seemed to keep my drink full, which was great to have! The food was very good! I had the buffalo chicken salad! The buffalo chicken tenders were battered lightly and had a good buffalo taste to them, they top the salad off with nacho strips and blue cheese crumble! read more

This place really hits the mark! It's great for a family lunch/dinner or meeting up with friends. It's a good happy hour spot as well! They have a nice little patio to enjoy Minnesota summers. The food was great! Large portions! Walleye fingers were delicious! Burgers are cooked to a juicy perfection but the ribs were a serious favorite at our table! Fall off the bone pure deliciousness! The service was great as well! Not a single complaint! We had a great waitress! The ONLY thing I can think of that I'm not a fan of is charging for a side of ranch or dressing. Some restaurants do that but it makes me a little crazy. Do they charge for ketchup or mustard? Then why would they charge for a side of ranch? Seems a little cheap to me & unnecessary. Terrible experience for handicap and elderly customers. Asked for a reservation for someone in a wheelchair and walker and would not make an exception. However they were able to get us right in or we would have gone somewhere else. Also wanted to order off the kids menu for an elderly person and they would not allow it. It's very difficult for elderly people to pick up a big burger and eat it so we wanted the smaller size to makes it easier to handle. Why cant we just make an exception in certain circumstances to make the customer experience better. What happened to the days where we treated customers right. Very disappointed! read more

This is the first 5 star rating I have ever given. Our meals were outstanding. There were three of us: Burger: One of the better he has had. Steak: Delicious, cooked right, and tender. The Sides were quite good. Glazed Salmon: this was amazing! I don't particularly care for salmon, but the next time I go here I'm going to order the glazed salmon it was that good! The portions were such that we were stuffed. Service was among the best I've seen; very attentive, very helpful, patient, just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. but we never had to wait for anything, and everything was done very very well. The place is very, very loud, with lots of people laughing talking and having a great time. We were able to sit in the dining room just off to the side and while the noise was evident, we were able to carry on a normal volumed conversation. read more

Not only does Malone's have delicious food and cocktails (I have yet to order anything that wasn't good but my favorite is the Thai chicken bowl) but what I really love is how much they support Maple Grove school's sports programs. From paying to have their logos on practice shirts to purchasing a large ad at the stadium, both help the booster clubs. They also generously donate food for sports pasta parties, among other things. My all time favorite place to eat. I always get the buffalo sandwich and it's amazing every time. Also the seasoned sour cream is fantastic. Malone's is also a good place to go after 9pm as well to drink and eat apps indoors during the winter or out on the porch in the summer. Some times there is a long wait due to the fact that they host fundraiser dinners a lot which packs the place, so call ahead for a wait time. read more

Located in arbor lakes with loads of different options for dining, we stumbled upon malones because it was reasonably priced and had a good pub vibe. We had a pretty large group but our waiter was friendly and accommodating. She did spill water on my friend and kept asking if her service was to our satisfaction which was really weird-- not sure if this is a common thing they say but she asked like 10 times which felt off putting. Best restaurant in Maple Grove hands down. I've been here probably a hundred times at this point and have never had bad service or bad food. The waffle fries and buffalo chicken sandwich are amazing. First time there. Walked in and got a booth for 1 immediately. Hostess very friendly as well as the waitress. She was very attentive. I had a coupon from yelp for a free drink and had a nice Chardonnay on the house. The restaurant is a little noisy. But the college b-ball playoffs are on and it's a sports bar after all. This has to be my favorite place in town. The mixture of great food, great drinks, atmosphere, friends, and sports is the best. It is busy all the time, which just makes the buzzing atmosphere. For the food, try the firecracker shrimp with white rice, and try the Thai chili traditional wings. These are my favorites. Actually, get all of the food. It's is just so good! For drink, they have many beers on tap and a beer of the month. Alway go for happy hour. $2.75 rail drinks and $1 off beers. Woooooooh! read more

I'm never in Maple Grove, so I'm not familiar with the food scene in the area, but we decided that Malone's would be a good place to go on a Friday night...& that decision proves that I am not from the Maple Grove area. The place was paaaaacked...no room to move or breathe, so they gave us a buzzer to wait, and we went outside to get some fresh air. After 30 minutes, our name was called and our waitress gave us a booth. There were no empty tables to be found, but our waitress was on top of things and stopped by our table several times to make sure we had everything we needed. My date ordered a Black & Bleu burger ($10.95) with kettle chips, and being that I was not feeling very hungry, I got the steak bites ($11.95). The steak bites were a little dry, but flavorful. There's waaaay too many onion straws in this appetizer. I feel like they could do something different with the steak bites that would make them better...putting them on a heaping pile of onion straws did not make it appealing. I swear, it looked like I didn't eat most of my dish because of all of the onion straws that were left. My date said his black & bleu burger was good, but he hated the buns. To me, they didn't look very appetizing either, and appeared to be tough. Oh where to begin, my partner and I decided to try something new and ended up at Malone's on a Friday night. The menu is decently varied and would greatly benefit with some better (or any) descriptions of the food that they serve. Much to my dismay 2 out of 3 of our picks were a fail. We started with the lettuce chicken wraps. They were decent but contained a hefty amount of thickening agent like cornstarch. Also nowhere on the menu did it state that the dish contained peanuts. Now I am not allergic but had just undergone some dental work where they wanted me to refrain from nuts and popcorn. Moving on to the skinny chicken. While the lemon in the sauce was not mentioned on the menu it was a welcome addition giving the dish the only additional flavor it had other than the vegetables. The chicken was inedible due to being overcooked. My partner had the marine salad. Simple and served over iceberg lettuce (hello 1980's) but unfortunately, the shrimp were all pre-salted. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating. The manager did stop by unrequested and comped half of our meal after inquiring on how our food was. read more

Love love love this place. Great food, beer, service and atmosphere. I highly recommend the Cuban and BBQ burger. Pulls tabs and free popcorn is always a nice plus as well. It's an affordable bar/restaurant that's not a dive or part of a large chain. It can get quite busy though, so be prepared for a small wait once and a while. The food is very good, the service is excellent and the ambience is pleasant. What's not to like? Just one thing! Just inside the door is a little stand that offers hand sanitizer - just hold your hand under it and it drops a glop on your palm. UNFORTUNATELY this stuff is very, very intensely "rose" scented, to the point where a tiny bit on your skin or clothes can be smelled by people standing three feet away from you. As soon as we were shown to our booth, we all hit the bathrooms and scrubbed mightily, only to find that the strings of our masks were all still reeking from where we'd touched them to take them off. Strong scents are never appropriate in a dining place, as the senses of smell and taste are so intertwined, so if you get even a tiny bit of this goop on you, your whole meal will taste of Rose. Which does not go with anything edible. read more

Used to be my favorite spot in Maple Grove until they recently cut most of their classic items off of the menu. My go to was always their classic cheeseburger with rosemary fries and seasoned sour cream, and it was easily the best burger around. Their classic cheese burger is now replaced with a greasy flat smash burger that I would literally NEVER order again!! As if removing the burger wasn't enough disappointment, they now no longer have the rosemary seasoning for their fries, which literally made their fries in combination with their seasoned sour cream stand out among fries any other restaurant. Their waffle fries are sooo BLAND without the rosemary...I asked for a side of lowerys seasoning and that didn't even make them good enough to eat. They also took their spicy green beans off their appetizer menu which was a classic. If you want a great burger and fries I suggest going to their sister restaurant MAYNARDS in Rogers which is basically the same menu, but they have the classic burger, rosemary seasoning, and many other items that used to be on Malones menu. Sadly this will no longer be my go to for lunch take out or favorite spot in town such a disappointment! The atmosphere is good, but their food just keeps going downhill with every classic item they remove. read more

Love eating here!!! You HAVE to try and Cajun pork chops and the nachos. They don't just throw a bunch of chips on a plate and call it a day- they make sure there's cheese and toppings on every single chip and use a cheese sauce rather than melted cheese. Scrumptious. read more
