I'll be the first to admit this place surprised me. I saw their menu which promised natural ingredients and healthy meals. My experience tells me that this usually means taste is sacrificed. But not here. The menu is kept simple and straightforward while making the flavors unbelievably delicious. I came for lunch and was greeted by a very friendly staff (including who I assume are the owners). Recommendations were offered as well as an explanation of the concept and menu. I really felt welcome. I ordered at the counter opting for a 6oz pork plate which came with a green salad and my choice of a side; I chose the rustic potato sautée. I also grabbed a Mexican Coke as a beverage. In a few minutes my plate was delivered to my table by a member of the kitchen staff with a sparkling smile. The slice of pork was so succulent, I didn't even need a knife as it was almost like cutting butter (an overused cliche, I know, but it describes it perfectly). I don't know exactly how this pork was cooked but each and every bite was magnificent. The potatoes were chunky with a bit of spiciness and were delicious. Sometimes I can get bored with potatoes but I never wanted these to end. The green salad was fresh with greens that had distinct tastes. Wow. Just wow. It looked simple on the plate but everything was a delight for the mouth. 4.5 stars with half a star deduction simply because the price was on the higher side but that's my only issue and it's not one that would stop me from returning again and again. read more

I'm a big fan of the pickled beets the sandwich comes with. It cuts the saltiness and adds another layer of flavor with its sweet and sour flavors. This place came up in my feed after I was looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast (in the middle of the afternoon because I slept in on a Sunday). This is a good place to come alone and not feel weird or awkward about it. The staff was welcoming and helpful with suggestions. The place itself is a little darker inside than I was expecting but still trendy and cute. Apparently they are a good place to come for bottomless mimosas and craft beer. I stuck to a non-alcoholic mineral water and ordered the avocado toast with an over medium egg on top. It's nothing special, you can order this in almost any cafe these days but this one came with a very nice portion of avocado. I think it may have had an entire small avocado if not a half one. I opted to not have any spicy Mayo on it but kept the balsamic glaze. It was pretty filling even if it wasn't super high in protein. I would come back if I'm ever in the area. read more

I am normally not one to go ahead with a negative review but I finally ordered take out here after a bad experience over 6 months ago and it definitely far worse. Ordered the Al horno in a gluten free wrap and it was sad tasteless with extremely dry chicken. If it were not for the Serrano mayo would've been inedible. Their gluten free wrap has usually been my favorite but this time it was different hadn't been warmed up (gluten free products can get hard when cold) it was sticky hard and non-chewable I basically throughout half the tortilla and ate the inside out of our hunger. How have we missed this hidden gem!!?! It started with a warm, friendly greeting and just got better from there. The staff was authentic and knowledgeable about the menu and the offerings were so different from anything one might expect to find in Foothill Ranch. She shared that they have a great selection of beers on tap and every other Saturday they have a beer event with live music etc! Sunday brunch has bottomless mimosas in addition to the delicious menu. To top it off, the serve homemade Alfajor's that were the best we've ever had!
