Hands down one of the best pizza spots I've been to in the Tampa area. I've only had the pizza and wings and both are exceptional in quality, taste and just overall consistency. I usually ask for extra crispy on both the pizza and wings. If you plan to order from here during peak hours, be sure to order a few hours in advance. They get busy QUICK, and I've found that if you call in your order at 6pm on a Friday you should expect at least 45min for the order to be ready. First time here came in by accident since the Thai place wasn't open for lunch. Glad I did. When I asked for something quick all they had was pizza quick. They said they cook everything to order. So I ordered a calzone just a plain calzone and it took 13 minutes. Boy, was it worth it? This may be the best calzone I've had in Florida. The sauces on the side and it's delicious. The calzone is fresh and flaky high quality ingredients. It's pretty garlicky but I like garlicky. The management seems to care more about their product than most places. To make a good pizza a balance between crust, sauce, and cheese is necessary and before I came here I thought it wasn't possible to go somewhere where all 3 are perfectly brought together but NY Times Square Pizzeria slam dunks it like no where else. My favorite go to pizza is the Veggie Lover as all the ingredients are sooo fresh and their pizza makes the perfect template. On top of the amazing food they have the most attentive and spectacular service. Sofia took my order and was very kind and knowledgeable on all there is to pick and choose between. The restaurant has a great vibe as well and the paintings on the walls really bring it all together. Pros: The woman making food and doing the counter/cashier dutes was very friendly, checking on me and other customers and baking pies. The place was clean. It has booths and small tables for 2 people. They sell beer which is rare for a fast casual place. Food: I swear the pizza tastes EXACTLY like Taste of New York Pizzeria in New Tampa near the AMC Highwoods theater. The slices may be a hair smaller and less greasy, but the taste is the closest to a photocopy between food. The slices had decent sauce and cheese, but the crust is a bit bland. Serviceable 7/10 Cons Two Pepperoni/Bacon slices and a Coke Zero was $9. Comparing to TONYP again, there's is $7.50. Slightly more expensive than I thought. From the menu since we were two people we decided to order Veggie lover's pizza slice plus Cheese Pizza slice and veggie lovers pizza slice plus grilled chicken pizza slice. We got our order in 15-20 minutes. We first had veggie lover's pizza slice and we loved the veggie lover's. It was delicious. It was what I desired. It had amazing veggies. Then we had cheese pizza which was also good and had correct amount of cheese. Then we had grilled chicken pizza slice which was good. We most of the time do take out here. We have tried most of their menu items from pizza, calzone, Philly cheese and other oven baked sandwiches, spaghetti and other Italian dishes, sausage lentil soup, and their regular and Greek salads (best in north Tampa area). Most of what we have tried is because of the outstanding recommendations we have received from other customers when we have been there. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or customer service. When they are busy it is worth the wait for great food quality and excellent food preparation. It was large and had a good amount of toppings but while it had a crusty bottom, in the middle it was doughy and the crust itself was flavorless. This is a pretty solid choice for a pizza joint. I came in around 3pm on a weekday, and it wasn't too busy inside, and they offer slices! Win! The pepperoni slices were SUPER fresh and hot, right out of the oven! The slices I believe come with a drink as well (fountain or bottle). They bring the slices to you and all the usual toppings. It was a good dough to cheese to sauce to pepperoni ratio. I ate the whole 2 slices probably in about 15 minutes, due to the 5 minute cooling off period. If you like sweeter sauce, this is definitely the place for you! Not a bad pizza spot at all however for my liking, the sauce was just too sweet. The crust was also too sweet. I ordered an 18" margherita pizza, which was made well-- it looked great, the crust had a nice crisp as well. Beyond the taste experience that I had, staff was very helpful and they even brought the pizza out to my car. They have a wonderful mural painted inside as well and are very welcoming. This is one of the best pizza and calzone, Italian establishments in Lutz/ Tampa. Today the special calzone with sausage and ham was incredible. It was hot, crispy and the cheese was so melty. We also had the lentil sausage soup which is the best I have ever tasted . It comes out hot and steamy with fresh basil and shredded parmesan cheese. The shop is tucked away in the plaza but sure want to take the time to look her up. Essi works tirelessly to assure everything is to order. Her chicken wings are so crispy and flavorful. Pretty easy location to find, and it also has a very convenient parking lot which is always a plus. Anyways, as soon as I went in I felt like I was in a pizza shop at my hometown(NY). The wall painting is cute & the place overall is well put together . The staff was super friendly & welcoming. Now to the most important part: I ordered the white cheese pizza and it was delicious. The dough thickness was just right . The best part is that the pizza wasn't greasy. I literally ate 4 slices and still didn't feel disgusted with myself, pretty cool. Not heavy at all. I stumbled across this place a few months ago and easily came at least three times a month getting the same thing every time two slices and a drink combo for the nine dollars and some whatever change this time, it wasn't the original girl who was working who I've seen pretty much every other time besides once last time this dude was nice so I thought nothing of it. I go ahead. I order my food and I get to the drink station and pretty much every single soda is flat. I tried three different sodas. all ranging from being flat to flavorless. The worker comes over to me and my boyfriend and says that we're wasting his soda and basically that our opinion doesn't matter because nobody else complained about the soda being flat. saying we're dumping and pouring and dumping and pouring and wasting all his soda. first of all, I'm a paying customer. I feel like I deserve a good drink with my meal. Second, there's a way that you approach people, especially whenever they're in your business and they are paying customers if he was upset that we are wasting his soda he could've offered to check the syrup, but instead he had a smart mouth and said nobody else complain and basically get over it. I love the pizza love the owner, but unfortunately will not be coming back anymore specifically because obviously her employees don't know how to handle a situation especially when a customer is not pleased with what you're putting out. read more

Crispy chewy crust, delicious sauce but not too much, just the right amount of cheese and flavorful pepperoni. The lady owner was making the pizzas when we walked in asking for a slice. She was cheerful and very attentive. The place was clean and one thing I really appreciated was the added detail of a purse stand in the ladies room. That was a nice touch for me. The pizza is delicious and reminds me of the best pizza places I had back home. Unfortunately in Tampa it's rare to find a good NY style pizza and one by the slice for lunch! I like the pizza here, I've been multiple times. The taste is very good, with a good amount of sauce to cheese, unlike the other places I've been. The only problem I had run into was hair. I have a good relationship with the pizza maker, so I didn't bring it up, and just threw the slice away... but I have encountered a hair in a slice 2 times coming here. I came here today for the first time. I was the first of 7 people to order. I ordered the lunch special which was two slices of pizza with a drink "starting at $5.99." I asked what pizza was already cooked for that special to make it easy. I was told cheese and pepperoni. I ordered one of each. I saw numerous other couples and families enter after I ordered. They ordered similar items (two slices of pizza) and they were served first. It took over 30 minutes for my table to receive the first order, mine being the last. My pizza was supposedly already cooked and should not have taken that long. I was on my lunch break from work and had to extend it due to how long it took to get "ready made" pizza delivered to my table. The kicker was the pizza was very mediocre. I won't come back. I'll go to Alphonso's across the street next time. They are better and the service is much quicker. read more

My beautiful wife and I had an 18" ham, bacon, sausage, an pepperoni pizza. We ordered a side of marinara and it was really just canned tomato sauce with little to no spices added. The dough and crust while good was not New York super thin foldable crust with juices running down your arm. Don't get me wrong it's a nice place for a family to drop by and enjoy a nice pie but it's really your average American pizza joint.
