The interior gives old school diner/truck stop diner vibes. While busy when we walked in we were seated almost right away. I am a huge breakfast fan and have to say I was a little disappointed. This seems like a type of place that has a few great things in the menu but not everything is great on the menu. Willing to give it another try. The pancakes were a bit grainy and the fries underdone. However the biscuits and gravy were cooked perfect and the grilled cheese has a nice cheese pull. Home town type of feel diner? This is your place. I can confidently say I've never been in a place that served that many refills on coffee. The food was very good for breakfast and the portions were a solid size. The service is fast here as well so you don't need to worry about sitting long before they help you. Cute little diner. My husband loves diners so we stopped in on a Saturday morning. The parking is a pretty easy with their shared lot but not many options for Sharon's cafe's patrons as signs were for some of the other businesses. We ended up street parking. Service was ok. They were really busy and it seemed like they could use some extra staffing. The wait staff was very nice though. The food was only ok. If we're nearby and hungry, we would go again but not sure we'd make a special trip specifically to dine there. read more

Fast and friendly service. I got my burrito in under 10 minutes, which was perfect since I was on a business trip. I came in alone and really appreciated that there wasn't a bar setup, so I didn't feel awkward taking up space. I was really excited to check this place out because I had heard so many good things about it! It's such a nostalgic, classic diner, and when you enter it feels so safe and familiar and comforting. Old school feel and vibe, reminded me of visiting my grandparents and going to their small town diner in upstate New York. It's tucked away behind the main center of "downtown" Holladay in a little strip mall type area with it's own parking lot. It was bustling when we went! Super busy, not a terribly long wait for two people, because they were bussing and turning tables very quickly. There aren't a ton of veggie options here, and I got their skillet special minus the beef. It was pretty bland, not a ton of flavor - scrambled eggs over some cheese covered potatoes and a few veggies. I can't remember what my partner got, but he really enjoyed his meal. I want to come back here to check out their lunch menu! A couple reviews mentioned that the service here wasn't great - I loved our server, it's just more of a hustling, turning tables kind of place. There's a lot of people waiting to get seated, and it's an in and out breakfast kind of place. If you're looking for something else, this spot probably won't be for you. My kid and I had a scone and drinks while ordering meals to go for the whole family. Chicken fried steak, all the breakfast, Philly and scone were really good. The hash browns felt like they were made with love. The fries were seasoned so nicely. The scone was straight from heaven. The bread on the Philly was amazing. Lunch was just okay today; I'll be back, but won't order the grilled cheese again. The cheese wasn't even melted and the bread was barely toasted. The cafe was more like a diner with the checkerboard pattern on the walls but they had some really cool looking sights on the walls. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. I got a scone omelette and hot chocolate and when I ordered the hot chocolate and the chocolate came like 20 seconds later and tasted amazing the scone was creamy and delicious but it didn't come with any honey butter so I made my own. The feeling I got when I walked into Sharon's Cafe is unmatched by any other cafe I've ever been to in a very long time. It's like walking into the kitchen of your childhood home and your entire family is there whipping up your favorite breakfast. Sharon's Cafe isn't over the top or pretentious. It's not the type of place where millennials will flock just to be seen. But that's what gives this place so much charm! It's got regulars. People who have clearly been dining there long and often enough that the waitress knows them by name and knows their beverage order before it's been said out loud. It's a no frills, classic diner food eating establishment and it's charming as hell. My friend and I ordered the veggie omelet with sweet potato home fries and a biscuit (yep, that's all included in one order) a side order of biscuits and gravy, and 3 slices of French Toast. This food is what diner dreams are made of. It's comforting, it's warm, and surprsingly grease-free. It may not win any awards anytime soon, but it will leave you feeling fappy (fat and happy). Our entire meal was prepared exceptionally well and the entire experience was one for the books. Sharon's Cafe is an absolute gem. Tried to find a place to eat close to our hotel. Actually found this on Google maps as it didn't show up on Yelp for some reason. This is your typical family run cafe with an assortment of food options to choose from. A hard working family trying to survive the Covid crush. My wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs over medium. The steak was a pounded down steak with a good amount of flavor. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and a cinnamon roll. They took the cinnamon roll, cut it up into pieces and put it in a bowl, which I thought was brilliant and convenient. The biscuits were good, but the gravy seemed basic. It tasted good, but seemed like packaged gravy with some cut up sausages thrown in it. All in all it was a good meal and served its purpose. read more

My family has been to Sharon's Cafe many times as it is close to where we live and really good. When I think of small business breakfast diner the image in my head is exactly what Sharon's Diner is. Servers with personality. Decor that has personality (old license plates line the upper walls, amusing sayings are interspersed with them). The food isn't going to win them any Michelin stars but it is perfect diner food with big portions sizes. If you order a la carte bacon you won't feel like you are being ripped off. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and while the coffee here is adequate (and I always order it) the coffee is better at other similar places nearby. I can't speak as much about the lunch menu ad I haven't eaten lunch there often. Every time I have I liked the burger I had. I like the sides too. We've been looking for a no frills greasy spoon type diner since we moved to the Salt Lake area. One where the food actually tastes great but you don't feel like you have to put on your Sunday best to go there. We found our place in Sharon's diner. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. I'm not sure why Utah calls a sopaipilla a scone, but there's are enormous and tasty. Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, perfect with an inordinate amount of butter and honey. The eggs were well cooked, not overdone and the home potatoes a little salty, a little buttery, a lot of delicious. The coffee was decent diner coffee. The boys enjoyed their fare just as much.
