Frozen Pork Meat Xiao Long Bao

This place gets super busy after 6 PM it seems. It is such a homey experience. There are dumplings being made up front where everyone can see. We ordered the pork dumplings, spicy intestines, pig ears, and potato salad. The pork dumpling flavor was so robust and it was juicy. The spicy intestines were a bit limp which was not what I was expecting. The pig ears were standard. The potato salad was good to me but if you don't like vinegar it is not the dish for you. The beef pancake was the best dish with a flakey shell and flavorful center. Great spot for a quick and affordable bite

This is always a 5 star experience for us. Friendly service and food is fantastic. Much better than Dough Zone, which had become too corporate. Handmade noodles are delicious here. Highly recommend!!

I don't like comparing restaurants with other restaurants so I'll stick to talking about the food. I had food delivered so I can't go about the service or ambiance of place. But according to deliverer he waited a while for the food. The pork xiao long bao was dry, hardly any soup. It was more affordable than other places, but not quite as good. So probably not going back. The beef soup with bok choy and handmade noodles arrived hot. Were ok, but the broth was a bit salty, and off pudding in taste. My daughter felt the same about it. The braised beef pancake rolls were good, but a bit soggy. And the deep fried buns were so dry I could barely chew it.

Visited for lunch this afternoon with friends was nice to come with more people and try more items. We ordered the Green onion pancake, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken chowmein and spicy eggplant. My friend said the spicy eggplant is her new favorite eggplant dish. I really enjoyed their version of salt and pepper shrimp. Full shell head on so delicious. Lots of garlic. Clean and bright space. Service is always friendly and quick we arrived about 11am and were seated immediately and given hot tea as soon as we sat down. Definitely will be back

5 stars- I love the fact this place is super casual with home made quality XLB and Tawainese food. Food- 4 stars- homey, yummy! * loved the pig ear salad- flavorful. Not spicy, loved how thinly sliced it was. * Braised beef in onion pancake roll- beef was super tender, flavorful, cut into chunks, cold. The pancake was too oily for me, and hot! Overall enjoyed. * spicy wontons- was fine. Nothing exciting. * sautéed string beans were good- little oily and salty. Flavor was good * braised beef noodle soup had a lot of depth. Beef tender. Hand made noodles were the best! * pork XLB- good flavor, not as much soup, but still good. *golden fried buns- drizzled with condensed milk. Simple, hot and yummy! Ambiance- 3 stars. Service- 4 stars. Server was nice and kids loved all the kid friendly design bowls, utensil and cups. Food came out super fast. Location- Great Wall shopping center where 99Ranch is located. Plenty of parking. On the right side/arm of the mall. Value- very good. Recommend- YES!

What the actual heck, this place is SO good. We stopped in here based on a GPS "on your route" recommendation that my daughter picked. What I found was my mother's food. The regional tastes here are so close to what I grew up eating at home that there has to be a connection. Don't sleep on the tomato egg drop soup, the braised pork belly, or their street cart style fried dumplings and pan fried Mama's pork baos. There are places in Asia where you might wait for an hour to get plates so good. The more common dishes like sweet and sour chicken are actually made the way we do at home, not puffed pastries, but a savory and hearty glazed dish the way it's supposed to be made. The chow mien is simple and flavorful, again, exactly how it is supposed to be. If I didn't know exactly where my mom was right now, I would go back into to kitchen to say hi.

It was stale thick fried batter in super sugary sauce-it's lacking flavor

The fried spicy eggplants looks so good but oh man it was not good! This is based on my order itself today because usually this place is really good Today my rating is 1/5 (hence I rated it 3 stars just because it can be a hit or miss) Spicy fried eggplants: Spice level 0/5 (I'm so confused, there is no spice at all) Taste: 0/5 it tasted like pure candied sugar, not savory no salt Batter: it was like thick fried chicken batter but it was so stale from all the sauce 0/5 Price: $15 for half container portion Overall I would not get this dish again

Stopped by here after a long day of shopping and couldn't have been more satisfied! We were greeted with smiles and seated right away. The overall vibe was very clean and Asian lol. We ordered the xiaolongbao and some type of noodle soup that I forgot lol. They were both very delicious. And they came out quickly. Service was definitely top notch. We were checked up on regularly and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again.

Crispy and very delicious. I also recommended this dish to a family member and he went to try the same thing on his way to pick up someone from the airport. It's about a 13 minute drive to SeaTac from Mama Dough's so if you need a place to eat on the way to the airport I highly recommend mama dough! Get the crispy pan fried dumplings! Just look at how good that looks

Great dumplings and selection of bigger plates. The service was so fast, and we got to see the staff make dim sum behind the counter. Service was fast and it was clean and bright inside. I loved the garlic string beans!

We ordered braised beef pancake roll, braised beef spicy oil noodles, and pork Xiao Long Bao. They were all great and enough for 2 people. My favorite was braised beef pancake rolls. The tangy sauce complemented the rolls very well.

Food: 3/5 - Got 2 pork wonton noodle soup bowls - Good noodles and chicken broth - Very small wontons with maybe 1/2 teaspoon of meat filling. - Got 1 order pork wontons in spicy Sichuan sauce. Very tasty, but again, very small wontons. - Got a $20 bag of 50 frozen wontons just for convenience to make at home. With such small wontons, you only get 1/2 a freezer gallon bag full. Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 - Modernized, but basic and serviceable

Super friendly staff, immediately greets you as you come in the door. Attentive too! The space is small but wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at 1pm. Food was good, comparable to Din Tai Fung (and better than Dough Zone imo). My mom didn't like the taste of the meat though. Really like the texture of their eggplant and beef pancake roll.

Food was good. But it did not appreciate the sloppy and distasteful service from one of the male servers here. Thanks, but no.

I see some people saying they order to go, but I CANNOT get them to answer their phone. Any tips or tricks?

I am disabled-how FAR in to the mall is it to get to Mama's Dough? Great pain when I walk.. usually can only go about 20 steps before I must sit down. Is this restaurant "do- able" for me? (esp. if someone dropped me off in front?) What entrance?

I would say it’s 2-3 restaurants in so right about your limit of steps. I always get my food to go and it’s amazing. Perhaps order on the phone and have someone run in to pick up for you? You won’t be disappointed. I hope this helps.

If you're ethnic Chinese/Asian looking for true Taiwanese food that'll give you a ratatouille moment, this isn't it. We went on a weekend late night dinner and the place was decently full. We were the only Asians there and the rest of the patrons were Westerners. That should tell you everything you need to know. Ambiance and service was 5/5. Very clean, hip restaurant in a safe part of Seattle. Perfect for a date. More than half of the wait staff was Chinese as were all the kitchen staff from what we could tell, so if you spoke mainly Chinese, you'd be fine and they would be familiar with Taiwanese food. Portion sizes are smaller and pricing matches, respectfully, so you can try different things. I'd say as an adult, you could order a couple plates and you'd be more than full. Food was 3.5-4. Sorry, I can't confidently rate it any higher than a 4. We had to try the beef noodle soup 3.5/5. Broth was good. Vegetables were romaine lettuce which wasn't authentic, but fine. Beef was definitely on the leaner side and definitely tougher (maybe because it was so lean), so maybe this was to cater to western tastes? Noodles were ok... too similar to ramen for our tastes... and that was a comment several of us made, independently. Onion pancake was 3.5/5. Meh, nothing too exciting. Beef sandwich was a dud. 2.5/5. Skip. It was like they took an onion pancake and used it for the roll/skin... pretty oily. Vegetables were just chopped lettuce. No cucumbers or cilantro from my memory, but it's been a few days so maybe I'm not remembering correctly. We also had different xao-long baos (they only had one pork left), cold peanut butter/cucumber noodles, dumplings, spicy cold cucumbers... and they were all 3.5-4ish. Nothing crazy. In the end, again, if you're looking to just get a broad taste of Taiwanese food, this is it. If you're looking to get a genuine taste of Taiwan, this isn't it.

It had generous amounts of pork, pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeños. Together, the flavors came together nicely. It is one of the best ones I've had. The ambiance was modern, nice and clean. They had nice background music playing. The employees that waited on me were nice and friendly. Their service was also good. Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.

Luckily I saw Pho T & L was open and I've had this place saved for a while so this was the best timing to try them out. We arrived and it was pretty busy and we weren't sure if we seated ourselves or someone else seats us as it took a few minutes for us to get noticed. After a little of standing awkwardly near the entrance, someone noticed us and motioned us to sit near the check out area which you do need to go up and pay rather than wait for someone to drop off a check. We were given waters and menus and given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. My friends got a lemonade with tea, Thai tea, shaking beef and combo vermicelli while my boyfriend got the shaking beef and egg rolls and I got the Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. My boyfriend got his egg rolls and I didn't get my spring rolls until after everyone's' order came in so I have a feeling that the employee who took our order forgot or the kitchen forgot. There was no apology or anything for it either. I got my food first, after several minutes the shaking beef came out and after another a while my friend got his vermicelli bowl. Luckily we weren't pressed for time but it made it awkward as we didn't get our food at the same time and it took a bit to get them. I am a slow eater so I guess it worked out that I got mine first but I also didn't receive my spring rolls until I brought it up once we received everything else. The food was phenomenal and our friends said their drinks were perfect too. I did enjoy my Bun Bo Hue, though I did make it a bit more spicier with their chili oil. They have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all party sizes. They do have a bathroom but you have to go through a long, scary hallway to get to it. The tables have probably the cutest container for their chili oil but I appreciate that they have napkins, sriracha, hoisin, and utensils on the table. The employees don't really check in often and they didn't really come by to fill our waters until we were down with our meal. The service was also pretty much non-existent, it wasn't rude but just felt rushed and cold.
