Eataly was recommended by several people as a place to visit in West Palm Beach. Eataly is located in CityPlace and is Italian inspired. From the moment we entered we were greeted by smells of aromatic food, bread, and coffee. The cafe and its array of delicious and decadent desserts are beautifully made and are presented in a clear showcase for all to see. I sampled a Limoncello dessert and later the Alta Badia Cheese. The Limoncello was citrusy and moist. The Alta Badia Cheese is an aged cheese that is similar to gruyere. It is delicious and melts in your mouth. Eataly has two restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a market with everything Italy for purchase from baked goods, deli meats and cheeses, pasta, and chocolate. The bar was open and had an area with gift baskets and flowers for sale. We bought bread and some of the Alta Badia. I also bought a Tiramisu Chocolate Bar. Self checkout stations are available. There is, however, a $0.15 cent charge for paper bags. I hope to return to Eataly again and perhaps dine in at one the restaurants. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are strongly encouraged. Valet parking is available right outside of the Eataly.

This was our first time here for a class. We went for a mozzarella making class. We had a great time! The place is a nice market to shop for random Italian items. Yet it is very over priced for the market items. The nice things were the fresh breads, pastas, cheese you can buy. It is the price of buying items from a major city, nyc and such. They also had coffee, gelato and pastries. The pastries were very subpar. I wouldn't get them again. The coffee was good I got season tiramisu coffee. They also have two restaurants. I would only go back for classes. It's not worth going unless you really want some kind of specialty cheese. Otherwise you can prob buy the market items at Joseph's.

They have indoor & outdoor seating. We sat outside on a beautiful night and enjoyed the music from the plaza. I was most excited about the homemade pastas that they have. If you go inside you can see them making the pasta. My friend and I shared the homemade focaccia bread, the octopus and the tortellini stuffed with butternut squash. The food was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and helpful however they need to work on their service a little bit more. They brought us out our second course and the dirty & emoty plates were still on our table.

This was our first time visiting the Eataly in West Palm Beach. My first impression was that the place was crowded like it should be since they have a marketplace that offers variety of items that caters to all people including gluten free pastas, extra virgin olive oil, and Italian wines. My fiancee and I dined in at one of the restaurants there on the back of the marketplace. The food was okay, made from scratch pastas and decent appetizers. The service was slow. Our server's first impression was very unkempt, disheveled, and inefficient. She/he (I wasn't sure), had stains on the back of the uniform. We sat there waiting for 15-20mins before the busser noticed that we were there, she brought out the waters herself because the server didn't even know customers were seating in her section. Different servers brought out the food to us. She didn't remember our orders so after waiting 30 mins after water was served, she came and asked what our orders were because the chefs messed up the ticket. The excuse didn't make sense. I extended my parking 2 times on the parking app. This restaurant is the one located all the way in the back to the left hand side before you go out the back doors, across from the pastries shop. I would recommend the restaurant to others to try but not if it comes with the server that waited on us.

We had a good visit to Eataly in City Place. We were able to find an on street parking spot, but most folks were lined up for one of the garage parking venues. Valet parking was also available for $15. We had been to Eataly in New York many years back and had fun exploring there. This marketplace is smaller and easy to navigate. We were able to wander around. There were areas for produce, wine, chocolates, cheese, prosciutto and salamis, pastries, bread, gelato, pasta, coffee, and other Italian products. They also had premade food like panini sandwiches and pizza to pick up and go. We tried one of their two restaurants -- Pizza and Pasta. Next time, we'd do the other one. We got to taste some strawberries in syrup and ginger with turmeric -- both in a sweet sherry -- being given out as samples. Bought a couple mini pastries for dessert --lemon tarts and Chantilly puffs -- for each of us (4 for $10.49); and he got a very good lavazza espresso. Although some things are a tad expensive, and more folks were looking rather than buying, they should do quite well here. It's a nice addition to West Palm.

We enjoyed a visit to Eataly in New York and we we were excited when the West Palm Eataly opened. Not quite the same vibe as New York but the staff at each station were pleasant and helpful. We walked around deciding where we were returning after our lunch. After our lunch we had to visit the pastry shop. We shared four of the mini pastries and I enjoyed a LaVazza espresso. A nice finish to our visit!

I've never been to other Eatalys, so when I read that this location isn't as good as others it's disappointing. I expected it to be grander, a building full of wonders. There were some wonders. I had two gelato samples that were out of this world, and a slice of delicious mortadella. I saw pizza slices and sandwiches that looked amazing, but so crazy expensive. And though it's not the fault of this place, it's not cool to have to pay (not a small amount, either) to park to buy items in the market. There are other gourmet Italian stores where parking is free. I will say that were I shopping to make a nice meal there are definitely upscale ingredients that look great. Sauces and pastas and oils and meat -- it's all very nice. And if I were well off I wouldn't think twice about buying items from the glass cases. I have no interest in trying the two restaurants, however. There's nothing about them that was a particular draw (vs items for sale in the market). If I were at City Place for a reason, I'd definitely go back and purchase a few things. Oh -- the focaccia at the bread section was SO tempting! I don't see making a trip there just for Eataly though. Not when you combine paid parking and high-priced fare.

Came here to grab a sweet treat after dinner and the petites are definitely pricey. My favorite was the fruit tart and the lemon meringue. So refreshing and very small to pop inside your mouth. The chocolate for the fudge was very rich and decadent. I don't think I would get that one again.

Eataly's appeal and aura is undeniable. Housed in the old Harriet Himmel theater, it is a beautiful building and adds to the charm that Eataly clearly works hard to exude. With it being a lovely building with seemingly authentic Italian fares, I want to have nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. We visited the pizza and pasta restaurant to celebrate my parents' anniversary. With the restaurant being recently opened, we knew to arrive early to put our name in for a table. Also due to the fact that we were told they wouldn't take reservations for parties larger than six (we were eight). We were put on the waitlist at 5:45 and told that we were at the top of the list and would be seated at 8:00 at the latest. Fast forward three hours and we were still waiting. It seemed to me that they were willing to seat multiple smaller parties of four when they could have easily adjusted to accommodate our group. It felt like more of an issue of optimization than being busy. It wasn't a good look. When we were finally seated, the service was fine and the food was good. We had a variety of dishes (mostly pizza) that all were flavorful. I liked the Salumiere a lot. However, I think for the size of the plates, the price is a bit high. For Cityplace it's more or less on par with the other restaurants though. I'm in no rush to eat at the restaurant again, but the store offerings might draw us back in. Eataly is a nice addition to a rejuvenated Cityplace. Hopefully they'll work out the kinks soon.

Having visited Eataly's in Italy (where surprisingly it's really more of a book store with a small cafe), Manhattan (my favorite), Dallas (a close second to Manhattan), Miami (my least favorite) and just recently, the newly opened Palm Beach location, you could say, I'm an Eataly's fan. However, I must admit that not all locations are up to snuff. The newly open Palm Beach location is a great example of this chains inconsistency. I believe the Palm Beach location is the smallest of all the U.S. Eataly's I've visited. Housed in the beautiful Italian food hall building, I must admit it was the nicest looking location of all the Eataly's I've visited. Unfortunately it wasn't close to the best. Unlike the Miami Eataly, where I felt like I was eating in a cafeteria (see my review), the dining areas were quaint and welcoming. The shopping experience was also well thought out. As one who is not a shopper and usually has to be dragged by my wife through the exercise, It was a pleasure walking throughout the location and shopping for our favorite goodies. Eataly also offers a variety of Italian-style sandwiches, often featuring housemade bread like focaccia or ciabatta, high-quality Italian meats (prosciutto, mortadella, salami), fresh cheeses, and vibrant spreads like salsa verde. As always, I chose my favorite, the savory porchetta which was, as I expected, excellent. It's a must have if you visit an Eataly. Although I didn't have time for a slice of one of their many fantastic pizzas, the selection looked just a great as I've seen and enjoyed at other Eataly's. One other note, we did take home and enjoyed their homemade lasagna. It was as good as always. Creamy and rich with a wonderful sauce that tastes like it was just shipped over from Italy. You won't find a better lasagna anywhere! For all that good, there were a couple of definite negatives. Unlike all the other Eataly's, the Palm Beach Eataly doesn't make their own bread on the premises! This is a definite issue for one who appreciates freshly made bread. We did take a "shipped in" loaf of the bread home and it was ok but it tasted and had the consistency of a "shipped in" bread (not bad but not the crisp exterior and chewy interior of a freshly baked bread). Although the bread was clearly an issue, the quality of my favorite desert was most definitely a deal breaker! One of my favorite things at Eataly is their cannoli's. They "usually feature crisp but not too thick shells and wonderfully creamy fillings. Unfortunately, the quality of the Palm Beach location's cannoli's wasn't close to what I had enjoyed at all the other Eataly's. The shells were fine but the filling was not as creamy almost gritty and the taste of the filling was much too sugary (could be that the over abundance of sugar is what created the grittiness)! In all fairness, we didn't have time to try out one of their restaurants, which could be up to their high standards but, what we did get just wasn't up to what we have previously known to be an Eataly experience. There's a lot of buzz about Eataly grand openings with miles long lines forming for each but, If you want to get the best Eataly experience, the REAL DEAL, the Manhattan location is the place to go followed by the Dallas location. Everywhere else, (at least with regards to the locations I've visited) you'll ask yourself, what's the big deal.

Eataly has at last arrived in downtown West Palm Beach's City Place! First conceived in New York City's Flatiron District by Celebrity and controversial Chef Mario Battali of Greenwich Village's Babbo fame, it's now right in my backyard! . Eataly doesn't disappoint! I'm reminded of a KISS concert's opening announcement: "you wanted the best, you've gotten the best." Prices at the restaurants, cafes and market aren't for the faint hearted. You will spend lots of money but you get for what you pay. As 'ole Ben Franklin was said to have said: "The bitterness of poor quality lasts longer than the sweetness of low price."

We left our name and happily our table was available in 30 minutes. We were able to sit facing the pasta bar. The menu was small bites to share, cured meat & cheese, salad, and pastas. It was a very limited menu, but were very hungry from day drinking. The restaurant is attractive and inviting. We started with the focaccia, then ordered a Caesar salad and ended with homemade pasta Bolognese . We sat in front watching the pasta getting made and were salivating as there wasn't any bread on the table. However, sitting here for over an hour. I saw the pasta man without gloves going on his phone, rolling pasta out, touching his hair, hat & then back to the pasta. I stopped a man in a suit and asked him about our bread, explaining that we waited a long time and a very hungry. The focaccia with Rosemary didn't have much flavor but we quickly devoured four small slices with olive oil. I'm glad we shared our pasta bolognese which came out next, the pasta was very good, but the sauce had no flavor. I expected to taste fresh herbs and delicious cheese, outrageous tomato sauce, which I didn't. When we finished our pasta, I asked the waitress about our Caesar and she said she would look into it. We asked 3 people about our salad and nobody seems to know which salad and that we even ordered one. I realize that they just opened and will give the benefit of the doubt and come back at a less busy time.

After one meal here, it was easy to understand why it's considered one of the most sought-after restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is energetic and vibrant without feeling overly loud, and the service was polished, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. The menu encourages sharing, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. We started with the lobster aquachile, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The lobster was tender, and the bright citrus flavors paired perfectly with the avocado and vegetables. It was a refreshing and memorable way to begin the meal. Next came the beef empanada and pork taco. The empanada was rich and flavorful with perfectly cooked beef and a crisp exterior, while the pork taco packed an impressive amount of flavor into a single bite. Both were excellent examples of why Buccan has developed such a strong reputation for its small plates. One of the highlights of the evening was the squid ink orecchiette. The pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, savory sauce that brought everything together. It was one of those dishes that makes you immediately start planning your next visit. For a larger plate, I ordered the prime beef burger, which was outstanding. The beef was juicy and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the fries were perfectly crisp. It may seem unusual to order a burger at one of Palm Beach's most acclaimed restaurants, but this one absolutely deserves the attention it receives. What impressed me most about Buccan was the consistency across every dish. Nothing felt like an afterthought. From the creative seafood dishes to the comfort-food favorites, every plate was executed with care and attention to detail. Palm Beach has no shortage of excellent dining options, but Buccan stands out as a restaurant that successfully combines creativity, quality ingredients, and flawless execution. If you're visiting the area, this is a reservation worth making well in advance. Recommended: Lobster Aquachile, Beef Empanada, Pork Taco, Squid Ink Orecchiette, Prime Beef Burger, and don't skip the fries. One of the best meals we had during our trip.

Cafe Sapori also has a very extensive wine list that really elevates the whole experience if you enjoy pairing wine with dinner. What makes this place especially great is that it works whether you are fully vegan, plant curious, or dining with non vegan friends. You can enjoy a full upscale vegan dining experience while others order from the regular menu, which is what helped make Cafe Sapori such a well known and respected restaurant in the first place. Also worth mentioning: the prices felt very fair for the level of service, presentation, ingredients, and overall experience. Just rushed, few word exchanges with the server. Little slower pace, and little engagement with the family and instant five stars.

From the moment you walk in, the romantic ambiance sets the tone--warm lighting, elegant decor, and that unmistakable cozy Italian charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. The food absolutely delivers. The Salmone was beautifully prepared with a delicate herb crust, complemented by a light garlic sauce that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was equally impressive--rich, hearty Tuscan ragu layered with a perfectly balanced red tomato sauce that tasted slow-cooked and deeply comforting. And then dessert--the Olive Oil Cake--simple in concept but exceptional in execution. Moist, subtly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. What truly elevates Cafe Med, though, is the service. It's attentive without being intrusive, polished yet warm. A special mention goes to Gina, the general manager, whose welcoming presence makes you feel like more than just a guest. She sets the tone for hospitality that feels genuine and memorable. Cafe Med isn't just a meal--it's an experience. Perfect for a date night or any evening when you want great food paired with an inviting, romantic atmosphere. Jackie and Charlie

The older woman sitting by the front was a bit off putting and somewhat rude to us at first but thankfully the rest of the staff made up for it and we didn't need to interact with her much.
