This is our go-to place for breakfast. The servers are friendly. The food is well prepared and very reasonably priced. We love the breakfast sandwich. The potato pancakes are great as are the breakfast skillets. The skillets are small frying pans with frittatas and the Union Hill spuds. The spuds are way too good. Whoever orders them at our table has to fend off everyone else's forks as they try to grab some. They also have amazing breakfast specials that change every day. Think varieties of stuffed French toast and creative omelettes. It's a little out of the way, just north of 104 at the intersection of Ridge Rd and County Line Rd. Go early on weekends as they are very popular. read more

Always a place to sit, no waiting, Mama always comes around to check in... and all of that is nice, BUT- the food is yum, diverse, there are diet restriction options and alt choices... and the diversity and breadth of the menu is delightful. We have been looking for a good place to eat near Williamson since we moved here a month ago, we have finally found it! We stopped in on a Saturday night and were promptly seated. Mama Lor came by our table and spoke with us for a few minutes as we had some questions about the breakfast menu. We were in time for dinner so I ordered the lasagna and my girlfriend order the Panceta Carbonara. Both dinners were served with a decent sized salad and when the main meal arrived it was hot and very appetizing. The food was excellent! We then split a large piece of chocolate cake, homeade, that was very good. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came and we paid less than $40 for our two meals. When we left the restaurant Mama Lor spoke with us again and asked us how our meal was. We will become regulars here!! read more

Excellent service. Fast Hot Delicious breakfast is our favorite. Coffee refilled constantly. We love this place and our visitors that we bring here are always impressed and wishing that they had a place like this near them. Mama Lor's can get busy, especially on a Sunday morning but there's loads of seating so the place turns over rather quickly. Mama Lor is always passing through the dining area to be sure that people are happy with their meals. We've got to respect that level of customer service! Lunch is also very good. We love going here. We go every chance we get. We invite people that visit us to go with us. I love the ambiance of the place and the fact that the house has history to it. After reading the reviews online I was super excited to go to this place for some lunch. I packed my husband and in-laws into the car, travelled a half hour to get there, and was a little surprised when I walked through the door. The inside is very old-time country feeling with old cafe tables and mismatched charm. The idea is pleasant, but the execution wasn't done very well. The waitress was extremely pleasant and very kind. She catered to my father-in-law's every need, including finding him some hazelnut creamer for his coffee. She delivered the specials to us in a wonderful manner and then we tackled the menu. I have to say, the menu is nice. It featured a large array of choices for both breakfast and lunch (breakfast served anytime!) and we were given lots of time to choose what we wanted. My husband got the turkey sizzler with fries and gravy, and I choose the panini special which was 4 kinds of cheese (asiago, mozarella, american, and I'm not positive what the last was) with bacon and sun dried tomatoes with a side of spicy sausage soup. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with my meal. My husband makes a much better panini, the sun dried tomato was very sparse, and there wasn't a lot of flavor to the sandwich. The soup I received was more like a sausage gravy, and it was so spicy I couldn't handle more than a spoonful without my eyes watering and needing half a glass of water. Even my husband, who adores all things spicy, got a runny nose and couldn't finish the small bowl we were given. His food came out wonder, but I wasn't impressed. I think our kitchen is producing better food. BUT, if you're looking for a simply country meal, this is the place for you. read more

Visited for breakfast and had the eggs Benedict and union potatoes. The dish was good but the hollandaise needed more flavor. The potatoes were crunchy and well seasoned. The place itself is really homey inside and the service was very good and attentive with the coffee refills. read more

With other restaurants becoming disappointing over time, I feel obligated to share how wonderful Mama Lor's Cafe is. I have eaten here several times. I've had excellent meals and great service every single time. When I have ordered the daily special, I have always been very pleased. It's kind of a drive to get to Mama Lor's, but it is worth taking the time. If you get the chance to speak to "Mama", you will find out that she is a really awesome person. Picked Mama Lor's based on the Yelp rating after we trolled through Ontario's rummage sale. The menu has a lot to offer. We picked the 104 Pothole (sausage gravy over homefries with eggs), the veggie omelet, and a short stack of loaded potato pancakes. Everything was really good but the potato pancakes stole the show. We tucked into them first and they are on the Must List. Reasonably priced, cute atmosphere, good food. Check it out. read more

Stopped by for dinner tonight. My wife and I had two (2) of the specials, the crispy chicken and the mini meatball pasta. The food as usual did not disappoint, everything was great. I have never had a meal here that was not delicious, never had service that was not friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and homey enough that I don't feel bad having my kids there with us. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and they are all excellent! Lots of choices and really decent prices, especially for the amount of food you get.
