They were attentive and accommodating to me and my friend. The ambiance was nice. It would be a good place to go with friends, family, or a date. The food was great! The calamari was very good. I could tell they seasoned it, which is not typical for calamari in my experience. The carbonara pasta was delicious. I have a hard time finding carbonara pasta in the Chicagoland area, and I was glad that this pasta was delicious and semi authentic. For dessert, the sticky toffee carrot cake is good! You have to love sweets in order to like it though because I could see how it could be overly sweet to some people. The sour cream gelato on top was top tier. I never tasted anything like it before. It was so good that I ordered some scoops separately.

The peppers (green, red & yellow) were perfectly cooked, luxuriously soft but still with a little crisp to them. Those peppers were perfectly cooked! I do think the sausage, while okay, was not up to the standard of the rest of this dish. For my main, I had the Linguini Alla Caruso - shrimp, garlic, olive oil with a basil-pine nut pesto sauce. It was very good, very good. Be warned though the sauce leans a little to the sour or harsh flavor. Not too bad, I certainly ate it up, but there was certainly a sharp taste every once in a while. My spouse had Dana's Bolognese. He was very happy with it! The overwhelming reaction to our main dishes was "holy crap" that's a lot of food! The dishes were as large as a coffee table and we NEVER could have eaten all that food no matter how long we sat there at dinner. Each dish was big enough to feed both of us and several people at nearby tables!!! But the best part of Francesca's on 95th was the service. Everyone was so friendly, so nice, hard working and willing to take care of our every need. Seriously, the staff worked their butts off and provided some of the best service I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Hats off to everyone from the hostess to the server to the bus people. You all really took care of us that evening. You will NOT walk away from Francesca's hungry! Is the food the best Italian I have ever had? Probably not but it is definitely solid and a great place to enjoy a good meal.

My husband and I have been coming here for over 25 years, and we always have a great time. Mama Luigi's is a treasure that I absolutely adore! The inside gives off a wonderful old-world Italian vibe with light background music ranging from Frank Sinatra to Bobby Darin. The food is top-notch, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The bruschetta is complimentary, and the bread is always warm and buttery soft! I usually order the margherita pizza and stuffed shells for the table. My husband gets the filet mignon medallions, while I opt for the seared salmon. The servings are always generous and entrees come with choice of soup or salad. The staff is always welcoming and polite and the drinks are fun. They have a separate bar with live music and have a venue to host private events. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend trying tartufo - a delightful Italian dessert that consists of a ball of ice gelato, covered in a chocolate shell, with a cherry in the center. Was there for a meal. A woman, began talking to table next to us. She was talking loud enough that easily heard. She was going on about how glad she was that Trump won and now the government would start going after LGBTQ people and illegals. That she Prayed to God and he answered. 15-20 minutes of this conversation. While it was going on I asked our server, who we later learned was an immigrant, if she was the manager. He said she was the owner When she walked away from the table she was talking to, I asked if she thought that her conversation was appropriate not knowing others' backgrounds that were also in the restaurant. Her response was. that is wasn't inappropriate and that free speech was her right. In other words, this business owner has zero problem supporting racism or anti-lgbtq policies. We asked for our check and left. Here is the kicker. My mom worked for this owner's mom in that very restaurant 45 years ago. I have supported that business often in that time. I cannot support them any longer as she, the owner, actively supports taking away my rights and the rights of others with her bigoted views. read more

Why would you support an owner who thinks like this? I've also eaten here a couple of times over the years. Bland sauce, rude waitress and water downed drinks. I know people like coming here as it's been open for many years, but this type of thinking has no place in a local establishment. From Victoria, the owner - "So it's ANTIFA, who gets a pass. We ate at Mama Luigi's the other night. The wait staff and food were excellent. The fresh warm bread and brushetta they give with there meals is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!! We even order the a extra order of soup to go along with extra Brushetta (It really is that good). I highly recommend signing up for the rewards program - it gives you points to get discounts on your meals. Mama Luigi's also has alot of specials going on all the time. They have date night, Lasagna night, Prime Rib dinner specials - it is amazing!!!! For our anniversary they gave us a coupon for $14.00 for a free meal - who does this anymore..............the owner of Mama Luigi is really thinking about his patrons and that times are a bit tough right now - but we all deserve to go out to a nice place once in while - I pick Mama Luigi's for this - GREAT PEOPLE - GREAT FOOD - GREAT PRICES - you can't loose with this combination!!! Me and my family have been with the mama Luigi's restaurant about all my life. Ever since i could remember we've went there for most of our family occasions. From birthday parties, to even weddings Mama Luigi was the first place we booked! The food is fantastic, the service is phenomenal, and the environment is welcoming. When you first walk in your greeted by a hostess which is very respectful and kind, as soon as you take a seat a waitress will greet you and make you feel at home. If there is any problems, the managers take care of it, and the staff make sure you leave satisfied. I recommend everyone attends to mama Luigi. My husband and I really enjoy our dinners at Mama Luigi's. It starts with the fantastic Bruchetta and hot bread. This last time we had the calamari, which is on the great side. Although we love pasta, we chose the delicious looking lobster and steak medallion special, with a twice baked potato and wonderful green beans (along with soup or salad). We took a part of that home, and would have loved dessert, but we were both very full. Everything we have tried there has been first class. Mama Luigi's is an excellent restaurant at an affordable price. My husband and family frequents Mama Luigi's at least 4 times a month. I love the atmosphere, the wait staff, the manager and hostess. mama's has become our favorite place to go! ribs can't be beat, tenderloin medallions and filet is absolutely delicious EVERY time we order it. When I went to pick up the food, it took a few minutes to find a parking space as there are no spaces for pick-up orders. But when I went in there, nice ambiance with the planes, the cars, and the camper, which is where I had to pick up my order from. The place was jumping (I was there about 6pm on Saturday), and it seemed like a nice overall vibe. Ok so I pick up my order and get back to the crib! First, the pizza: both pizzas were really good. Nice amount of cheese, nice amount of sausage, for both, nice amount of sauce. Now the pizza was good,let me be clear, but on the box it says the 'best pizza in the world'. So my honest opinion is that is it better than all the other pizza places in the area (Domino's, Nonna's, etc)? YES...easily! Is Paisans better than Beggars Pizza? I say yes, my wife says no. Either way, we both agree that they have some good pizza! The garlic parmesan wings lived up to the hype. Crispy wings, nice amount of seasoning, not overpowering. As for the Southwestern egg rolls, this was the only thing I ordered where I was like 'meh'. The shell wasn't really crispy, I think it was a bit bland, and the sauce cup had opened up and spilled in its takeout box. Put it this way...Chili's Southwestern egg rolls are much better, by comparison, in terms of flavor. All in all, this was not a bad eating experience. The food was good all around, and for me, only the egg rolls could have been better. Also, the food was a little on the expensive side....so that is something to keep in mind also. So, does this mean we'll be back? Absolutely! Everything was very tasty, but the shrimp could've been grilled a little more and a little more flavorful. I suggested to the owner more garlic and he was very agreeable about it.
