The Italian ice is the star here but....If you've been searching for a real NY bagel or pizza, Mama Mia has you covered. Bagels, bakery items and pizza kits straight from NY and frozen so you can heat and eat when it's convenient. Eat in their cute space or take it to go. The owner is friendly and helpful, go check it out. As they say, it's all about the water!

Mama Mia's is a hidden gem in Clemmons! I walked in expecting Italian Ice and was very pleasantly surprised to see the wide variety of products products they have shipped in from New York. They have a huge assortment of bagels shipped in from New York as well as different breads and pizza dough. I got half a dozen bagels and they did not disappoint! They come frozen, so just leave the one you want to eat in the fridge overnight to defrost and toast it. They beat any bagel I have been able to find in Winston thus far. The Italian ice is also delicious, it is creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. The Italian Ice is also shipped in from New York so it is about as authentic as it gets. I would definitely give them a try if you're ever in the mood for some Italian Ice or need some bagels.

OK this is for my fellow New Yorkers. Let me start by saying that you would not be disappointed I finally find a place that has New York Italian ice, but not only that you can also come and get yourself some New York bagels. I'm talking about real New York bagels get your hard rolls, Italian bread all from New York. You could even buy pizza dough and cheese and they have a wide selection of bagels and Italian ices, the service is phenomenal, the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm back home The lady who owns it is a kind soul. You can't find another one like her. She brought me back to my roots, was a pleasure to deal with will definitely come back and will add some pictures soon. Also, the bagels rolls bread everything comes in frozen so all you have to do keep them in your freezer until you're ready to use. My secret is your wrap them in a wet paper towel microwave them for about 10 to 15 seconds and then toasted to your liking's tell her Omar from the Bronx sent you

My wife heard that Mama Mia's had imported NYC Bagels. I so miss pumpernickel bagels we thought we would drive over and see if they had pumpernickel. They did (3)! I am so happy. This five star review is based on a second of their offerings: a take-home, build and bake pepperoni pie. The cheese pie costs $10 and pepperoni costs $12. I made our pie by following the directions offered at Mama Mias. I added black olives and mushrooms to our pie. It baked at 525 for 7 mins and 45 seconds. Then I broiled it for 30 seconds. The resulting pie had chewy crust, rich flavor, the cheese was flavorful and had an element of stretch like mozzarella should. I highly recommend this take and bake pie. One word of caution: You should buy at least 24 hours ahead to allow the crust to thaw before starting the rise step!

Supper friendly o! Kids loved the ice. Going back later to pick up a pizza kit and bagels!! Love having these unique options to keep life somewhat exciting during these times. Update: I got my pizza. It still needs to go into the oven and this one is clearly excited. The instructions have been easy to follow and you could eat the sauce with a spoon!! I also tried one of the bagels... I'll be hiding those from my children. Amazing, soft (not chewy!), and very tasty.

Italian ice driven south from NY. My wife is originally from Long Island so when we saw a little spotlight on the local news for "Mama Mia Italian Ice" naturally we had to make the drive to Clemmons for it. I thought the Italian Ice was good. My wife said it "was the best Italian ice she's had in the south". I didn't think it was any better than I've had in the south. In my view using good ingredients and clean filtered water is the trick to good Italian ice. But what do I know? My two qualms with the place is their no mixing policy and the set up of the store. Being unwilling to mix flavors is obnoxious. My wife wanted cherry with chocolate. A combination she has been getting for every one of her 30 + years of life, including her time in NY, and it has never been denied to her. Whether we're in Philly, Providence, Boston, or their beloved NY that's the combo she gets. She get denied that because of some bogus family tradition? What about her tradition as an Italian from New York of getting that combo? It's so ridiculous it's almost humorous. And the organization of the store is just off. The flow is weird. There are coolers in strange spots. You feel like you're in someones unfinished and still a "work in progress" kitchen. All and all, I do recommend the place. I won't be making the 2 hour round trip again because it's not that worth it to me but if in the area I'm sure my wife and I would stop in again.

This is the real deal awesome Italian ice. I first saw them on Facebook and knew I had to try them right away. They bring the ices from New York. There are lots of flavors and they restock every couple of weeks. You can get a small for 3 dollars a large for 4. They take cash or cards which is helpful. The family who runs it is very nice. We plan to be back often.

Just found a frozen goat in my small cantaloupe ice. Didnt help that it was sticky like it had thawed and was refrozen. Never again!

I got the pretzel bites and deviled eggs. Both were phenomenal. The pretzel bites were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside served with beer cheese. The eggs were topped with pickled jalapeños. For my meal I tried the wings. They are baked then fried. They too were good! Staff was super kind and brought everything to our table. She also made sure our beers were full. Megan Doss was singing at this venue while we were there which made for a great evening!

We had…read morenever visited prior to their closure but were happy to begin seeing posts on Facebook that there was new ownership and a slightly different focus. After doing a bit of online research, we learned the former owners sold the property across the street to Incendiary Brewery, which ultimately opened their second location in 2022. This location has a long history dating back to the early 1970s, when it was the first winery in the state to grow and produce European grape varietals, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Westbend Winery made its mark in North Carolina as a pioneer in the wine industry that now includes over 130 wineries and continues to grow. The original Hauser House was built in 1850, renovated in 2016 and is where the current Westbend restaurant is located. Gone are the winery days, the focus is on the restaurant, bar and music venue space. Last weekend was the beginning of their soft opening, so we had to stop in. We arrived shortly after 4pm, we were happy to see there was a collection of cars in the parking lot area. We loved the look and feel of the property from a distance but were even more impressed with it as we began looking around. The building itself looks very cool and at least somewhat original. There is also a large covered outdoor space that could easily accommodate large groups of people. There were also several picnic tables arranged in the grass if you prefer. We decided to enter the restaurant area which is now called Graze Grill. We were immediately greeted by a young man who told us we could sit anywhere. We were looking for an outdoor space on the back deck that would allow us to sit in the shade while listening to the music. We were able to grab the last table and we were brought menus and our drink orders were taken. The menu itself was nice, it offered a selection of appetizers, entrees, salads, and desserts. From flatbread pizza and buffalo chicken wraps to cheeseburgers and loaded cheese fries. There are also kid-friendly food options as well. My wife chose the WB House Salad and added grilled chicken and I decided on a flatbread pizza which I was able to choose the various toppings. The music was also entertaining and the space was very relaxing and comfortable. We were checked on throughout our visit and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We also noticed their cool Westbend shirts, which my wife especially liked because they include "Lewisville, NC". The same young man offered to bring a shirt to the table for my wife to look at. She was happy with the texture and quality and decided she had to have one. He also told us they have additional swag ordered. We were really impressed with our first experience here and can't wait to come back as well as bring friends and family here when we have visitors. A great addition to the Lewisville area and Westbend absolutely compliments the other wineries and brewery in the area. We learned they are currently finalizing their operating hours and are currently open on Saturday's and Sunday's. However, they plan to be open from Thursday through Sundays. Their grand opening is scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Wishing the new owners all of the very best!
