Quick delivery. We are from out of town and the AC stopped working at our Airbnb, so it was dinner time and we were crabby and tired. Mama Mia's was close and the options looked decent. I was surprised by the diverse options--pizza but also Mexican, Indian? My lesson learned was do not trust a place with so many options. You're a pizza place, stick to pizza. Maybe put more effort into the quality of the pizza. I ordered the gyro and it was AWFUL. Like really, really bad. Breaded soggy chicken, hardly any tzatziki (I also asked for extra on the side), and even the onions tasted old. HOW DO YOU MESS UP ONIONS? My partner got the pizza and ordered extra sauce and got almost no sauce. The pizza was bland and crust was not up to par. There are a thousand other pizza places around, skip this one. read more

So far, this is the best local place we've gotten pizza from since moving into the Englewood area. It was good pizza, but it wasn't out of this world. However, it was WAY better than Jimanos near by. The cheese bread was definitely a bit different then a normal pizza places breadsticks and I'm not sure if I would order that again. I wanted to leave a 5 star review here because I trashed Uber eats order from here. Uber eats driver took a slice and spread the pizza around in the box trying to hide his crime. The Good: - Pizza is decent - The staff other than the one mentioned was chill The Bad: This is apparently a place where clowns come to get scouted because I cannot possibly explain the behavior of our waiter in any other way. When I asked to go to the bathroom the waiter said, and I quote, "do you have $100?". When I laughed him off he said "can you run dish line?" implying that I should have to work to use the bathroom. Went to Mama Mia Pizzeria for the first time today as I was in the area. They had a chicken biriyani special which I ordered, along with a pizza to go. Oh my goodness! The biriyani was delicious with basmati, chicken, spices and a seasoned yoghurt on the side. So yummy! Ate about a third of it and took the rest home for later as it was a hefty amount. When the pizza was ready, I stayed to eat one slice and it was perfect-crisp veggies and crust with bit of polenta crunch on the bottom, lots of cheese and nicely golden brown on top (I hate when pizzas are pale and undercooked!). I've been a fan of the calzones here but decided to change things up and order an Italian sub recently. Big mistake. The meat combination tasted nothing like what you'd expect from a usual Italian sub. There might have even been bologna or another similarly gross / low quality meat on it. I don't know. Something was just off. In cases like this I usually think to myself "well, maybe they got the recipe from Wikipedia". And I forgive them and move on. But when I went in to pick up the order - in the middle of a PANDEMIC, the guy who handed me my food was not wearing a mask. I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt but when you work in food service - and I say this as a certified food protection manager myself - you have a duty to protect your customers. You are not allowed to disobey public health orders. It's disgusting. I live with immunocompromised individuals and what it says to me when you don't wear a mask is that you just don't care about others. It's offensive and it's wrong. read more

Good Pizza & Wings! Well, the day I moved in to my new apartment, included in the lease package was a flyer for this place. So, after a long day of unpacking, I called them up for a late night meal. I got (I forget what it's called) some kind of Pesto pizza with Pine Nuts and an order of buffalo wings. The pizza was good. I prefer a thicker, butterier crust (more like Chicago Style or Pizza Hut) but the one that showed up at my door was pretty good. It even stayed good the second day, after spending a night in my moisture sucking fridge. The wings had a nice, spicy sauce on them. But, it looked like they were fried and then sauced, so they were crunchier than regular buffalo wings. Not my fav, but good with ranch. I haven't been to the physical store front, so no notes on that. But, if you live in the area, definitely call them up for a pie. read more

I was pleasantly surprised here! We did the grub hub delivery. We received everything we ordered and it was tasty and hot! Bigger portions than I expected for the pricing also. With so many different food items available I tend to worry about quality and taste but they definitely exceeded expectations on the Italian food. I used to eat this place all of the time, like a decade or more ago. Was amazed to see that it was still around, and even more amazed that the food may have gotten better. Our order was perfect, ready fast, food tasted better than expected, and very inexpensive. I still love this place, and will be back for sure. Don't expect culinary perfection. But if you want good food, better than fast food, and with enough selection/variety to satisfy the whole family, this is the place. I finally got a chance to try the pizza at this place, and let me tell you, coming from somewhat of an aficionado on pizza, this place is nothing special. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock the place, they have a huge menu of items stretching well beyond pizza/Italian (including tacos, gyros, fish & chips, etc.), and I haven't had a chance to try any of that. I'm talking specifically about the pizza. The place was clean, the staff was nice, but the pizza, to me, was barely a step above a Pizza Hut or Domino's pizza. The sauce was too tangy, the crust was that same airy, fluffy crust found in the chain pizza joints, and it just didn't taste very good. To put this in perspective, I am from the New York/New Jersey area, and NY pizza is my benchmark for quality. This is not NY pizza. It's not Chicago pizza either. The pizza here is very affordable, however, you do get what you pay for. If you're not a big pizza fan, then I would recommend this place over Pizza Hut or Domino's, especially since they are a locally owned business, but if you are into pizza like me, skip it. Thanks anyway, Mama Mia's! If you're looking for NY style pizza, the best imitations I can think of in Denver are Abo's, some of the Anthony's locations, and maybe Famous on Broadway near the Mayan. Very disappointing. We received a flyer for this place, and thought we'd chance it. We ordered a two XL pizza special, and my wife ordered a gyro. The pizza's crust was thicker than a New York, but not as thick as a Chicago; however there was no crisp. It was spongy-textured, chewy, and flat-tasting, no salt, very bland. The sauce was out of a ten-pound can, and not seasoned. We ordered one with pepperoni and bacon, and the other was sausage with onion. First, the sausage and onion was pepperoni and onion, with about an average of one slice of pepperoni per slice, and heavy on the onion, probably to cover the lack of meat. The other pizza was the same, expect one slice of pepperoni per pizza slice, and a couple of lack bacon chunks, like one finds in the bottom of a bag of Hormel bacon pieces, the size making them tough and chewy. The pizzas, being XLs, we're puny, they were smaller than the larges from our usual place. The gyro was standard from a box of presliced fare, underwhelming. It was light on the meat, and heavy on the veggies, and since they probably keep their lettuce in water, it was somewhat soggy. Also, the fries were frozen steak fries, probably from the Costco Business Center, and seem to have been cooked well ahead, and weren't seasoned, at all.
