Stumbled upon a local gem around Valentine's Day and very happy we can add this to our list. This gives you a true traditional diner feel, from the booths and artwork, down to the fact that you take your check to the counter when it's time to pay. The diner is a very classic feel. Their menu is full of options, it was hard to choose but I landed on a patty melt cooked medium. It felt and tasted like a throwback. So delicious! My boyfriend got chicken and waffles, he said it was nothing special but good. Keep in mind we were able to sit pretty quickly because we chose to sit outside on a cooler day, for inside seating there was quite a wait time. Visited w a large group for a graduation celebration. My fish was slightly undercooked, another lady had ribs that were uneatable and nothing like ribs, oysters too softly fried etc. None of the adults want to eat there again. However, the service was great and prices reasonable. read more

Tucked away in the crevices of Fayetteville, GA you will find the friendliest group of people at Broadway Diner. Unfortunately we went on Saturday morning and we had to wait probably 30 minutes before we got a table but I was prepared for the wait. I ordered an omelet that came with a biscuit and potatoes and my lunch date had a chicken pot pie. The portions were HUMONGOUS!!! I had to finish mine the next day. My family eats here all of the time for breakfast after church. We love the food! You get so much food and it's Delicious! I always get the build your own omlet and you get so many sides with this: grits, pancakes,and biscuits. I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy eating. We stopped by this charming diner while traveling through town. It's was cute with its 50s decor and has clean bathrooms. The menu is quite extensive, but there are many great choices! Our server didn't seem very enthusiastic when we ordered shakes and hot chocolates. He shook his head and threw his hands on face when he walked away with just our drink orders. Broadway Dinner is/ was one of my favorite place to eat, especially the whole fried catfish and fried pork chop, which I normally sit and eat at the diner. This time I elected to get my n food to go, worst mistake. I don't know what happened but the catfish, mashed potatoes with gravy was awful. The catfish was tasteless and bland, the mashed potatoes gravy had some spice that was awful. The pork chops was on point, well seasoned, fried to perfection, finger licking good, the vegetables medley was good, along with the baked potatoe. I don't know what happened to the fish but the trash can loved it, my dog didn't even want it. Spend $40 and had to trash my meal. I lived to far too return of i was closer I would have. I thought about having my birthday gathering there but after today's experience I don't think so. I am so mad and disappointed, good thing my husband ordered two pork chops. I was visiting my old hometown and was trying to find a spot for lunch. This popped up and figured I would try it. Went around noon on a Saturday. Parking lot full and a short wait for a table told me it might be worth it. I was not disappointed. The service was quick and attentive. Warm bread came to the table and it was followed by a perfectly cooked medium rare burger. The place was clean and full of smiling locals. On the way out I grabbed a slice of homemade lemon cake for my wife. Now this had to make a trip back to Tampa the next day. My wife loves lemon cake and normally only eats about half of a normal slice. This was a large slice with plenty of homemade buttercream frosting. She initially said I could have the other half, however after tasting it, she threatened me if I attempted to touch it. Fayetteville should be proud of this hidden gem. Our first time arriving for a good breakfast and Broadway Diner did not disappoint. Our server Chris (hope that was his name) did a wonderful job because smiling is a great quality in knowing you're going to have a great experience. As always we crave corn beef hash and I got the plain combo but my friend and Bf had the Hobo Hash which looked even better than mine. But I don't always have scrambled eggs so my combo has over medium eggs. My friend's husband enjoyed his burger with avocado and he liked it too. Much further spot from the airport but worth the trip. Plus, if you know the spot had lines already out the door then it must be awesome. Now, the home potatoes weren't specially great but plane enough to add salt or pepper. Lots of parking and I think booth and tables were available. It was definitely busy on the visit. Seems like the place to go on a Sunday for breakfast or lunch. Though busy was still seated quickly. Server was very friendly and quick for a drink order. Coffee was hot and fresh. The menu can be slightly overwhelming. Several options. Including about 20 different types of pancakes. Opt'd for the chicken fried steak with potatoes and wheat toast. Very generous portion and the gravy was nice and hot with the right amount of pepper. Potatoes were seasoned nicely and went well with a little Yukon gold sauce. I actually visited this diner due to its yelp ratings. I love a good dinner and what struck me most about this one was how clean it was. We went for dinner on a weekday, party ofc4, and were quickly created and seated. The menu is of course very diverse and expansive, making ordering the first time challenging. I ordered a reuben with side salad, and my guests ordered chicken and waffles, chicken parm, and a child chicken fingers plate. Everyone enjoyed their food, so definitely a solid meal. We also ordered 2 slices from the dessert case (coconut cake and strawberry cheesecake). Great experience, great staff and we will return often. read more

To start with, Broadway Diner is an exceptional place to eat and everything is always perfect. This is what I encountered that was awkwardly uncomfortable for me as well as my family. A man came and stood by my chair, too close for me but I assumed he was part of the wait staff and was serving the table next to me. After about 3 minutes I looked up and he was starring at me and I ask if he was waiting for me or what. He said, what's your favorite color and long story short he made a paper rose and stood glaringly waiting for a tip. he was at our table for about 10-15 minutes and it truly interrupted a dinner that was very special. I've got to ask, why is this allowed? Food was wonderful but we had to take it because we felt awkward eating while he was trying to provide unwanted entertainment! read more

Many years ago I went to a Broadway Diner in downtown Atlanta and I recall enjoying the food. I think I got breakfast items but cannot remember. Anyway, Yesterday I ordered the Philly cheese crunch at the recommendation of our Server. I wanted Philly cheese steak sandwich but not a lot of bread as I was told it comes on a Hoagie and try the crunch for less bread. My sister ordered the roast beef and mashed potatoes. As an appetizer we got fried green tomatoes and eggplant. In my opinion the fried green tomatoes were okay but under seasoned. My Philly cheese steak crunch was not good. The steak, onions and bell peppers were good, but the tortilla it was wrapped in had no crunch as it was soggy from the meat and grease. I scooped the meat and veggies out to go to repurpose at home. My sister said her roast beef was crumbly odd taste but she doused it with gravy which helped. The potatoes were like everything " under seasoned ." Based on other reviews this place seems too be allergic to seasoning. So won't be returning for sure. read more

The consensus after eating at Broadway Diner from everyone who joined me... "Meh. It was ok." Two out of five stars is an absolutely accurate rating for this spot that blew none of us away. In fact, it actually only wound up giving two of us stomach aches. What was ordered: - Salmon Florentine: our server (who was very nice and very honest) exclaimed that this entree was his favorite on the menu (he also said NOT TO GET THE MEATLOAF)... So it was ordered and devoured. When asked how it was... "Oh, it's fine. Want a bite?" -- I always feel like when a bite is offered... That means it's not all that great. - Lamb Gyro: "it's okay." ... When my husband reviews his food as such, you know it's not good. - Chocolate Cake: "EAT IT!" is what my husband told the other people who dined with us... IE: I don't want to waste any bites on this lack luster cake... - Chicken Wings: I got the wings and they were prepared the way I wanted... Naked. They were fine. But it almost tasted like rotisserie chicken. I don't mind rotisserie chicken but when I order wings, that's not what I'm looking for. - Salmon: I ordered a side of salmon (no salad) and it was fine... But also BORDERLINE rancid. I could tell that if not cooked within a day, it was going to go bad. It was certainly edible, and just fine but if I ordered that exact piece a day later... My review 100% would be different. - Fehttuchini: No complaints about this one but a 14 year old was eating it so I'm pretty sure he didn't really know what was "good" vs. not. - Omelet: I feel like this diner excels ate breakfast food, because the omelet looked good and there were no complaints there either. So as you can see... Nothing spectacular happened here. We have a gift card to finish, so we will be back and will most likely try other things to see how we feel... Talk about a town favorite! My friends and I are here for an annual girls trip. We decided to stay stateside this year instead of an international trip. Our two friends who live-in Fayetteville said this was a must try and they was right! Thank you Charlotte! The atmosphere was family oriented which was inclusive of mixed cultures gathered to eat. The food was outstanding! Our waitress Mitsy was the ABSOLUTE BEST! I had the shrimp PoBoy and my BFF had the fried fish. We also got a red velvet cake. It was fire (meaning good...LOL)! Our server was pleasant and gave a few good suggestions so we settled on French toast, biscuits and gravy with two mimosas. This is a classic staple restaurant in Fayetteville and rightfully so. With all the new franchises popping up, Broadway Diner holds its own as an unpretentious, delicious old-fashioned diner. What you'll get here is friendly service, good food, huge portions, reasonable prices, and a large variety. We got the Taste of Athens which is moussaka, spanakopita, Greek side salad, and pita. The salad was delicious and so fresh. I thought the moussaka was good as well, filled with ground beef. The spanakopita was ok. The flavor was good, but the texture was a bit oilier than I'm used to for this dish. Still, it comes with quite a bit of food and is great to share! The real star of the show was the Broadway Salmon. It's a HUGE plate (the pics don't do it justice) of salmon and pasta. The salmon was a super generous chunk of perfectly-cooked salmon (it was very soft and moist inside) and was topped with a lot of the creamy sauce which had sundried tomatoes and spinach. The flavor was out-of-this world. If you like the flavor profile of creamy pastas or seafood + cream foods, you'll really love this dish. It also comes with a side (I got a baked potato but had to get it to-go because we were so full). There was also dinner bread to go with the meal. It was ok, and there's butter and spreads on the table. Honestly, the salmon and moussaka were so filling that I couldn't eat anything else. At under $40 for this massive spread, this is a great place to eat with a family! This could have easily been shared by 4 people! The service was nice as well. We had to ask for a few things, but everyone was friendly and responsive despite it being very busy. If you have room, definitely get one of their decadent cake slices. The home fries were undercooked, mushy and unseasoned. The scrambled eggs were bland and tasted like they were not made from fresh eggs. The biscuit was cold and hard, and the croissant was stale. The bacon was good. The food was not worth the price paid and did not come close to meeting our expectations. If you're looking for overpriced undercooked diner food this is your place. We were going to get something to go from Village Cafe, but they were closed on Black Friday. My sister-in-law recommended this place and it was fantastic! They pretty much have anything that you can imagine off of their menu and probably would make it, even if it wasn't on it. I called and made the order to-go. The lady on the phone did a great job with making sure that we got everything that we wanted and it was ready in about 15 minutes. I told her I would go in to pick it up, but one of the staff members brought it out right after I pulled up. I checked everything and it was still fresh and warm when we had dinner about 20 minutes later. The baked Italian combo is amazing! It has penne pasta with mild sausage and meatballs along with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. I could only finish half of it because it was so much food.
