Stopped in for a quick breakfast and are SO HAPPY we found this wonderful caffe! Walking in we loved the decor and how clean everything was. Our server (grandson of Mama) was so attentive and quick. Mama even came out and greeted us. Those things in themselves would get them a 5 star review but what stood out more than anything was that when my omelette arrived at our table there was steam coming off of it. Besides my own kitchen I've never had such a hot meal!! It was also DELICIOUS! If we're ever in the Lompoc area again we will certainly stop at Mama' Caffe. read more

I am so impressed with this restaurant. It is a family owned place and they are so nice and welcoming. The food is amazing! I love their French toast with their whipped topping! Their scrambled eggs are great. It is very hard to make a good scrambled egg! Mama is always there serving the customers along with her grandson who is so polite and respectful! This is owned by the same people as La Botte, also in Lompoc, but it could not have been a different experience - even when sharing employees between the two restaurants. We had eaten the night before at La Botte and didn't have a great experience. Not knowing the connection, we chose Mama's for breakfast. Service was prompt, friendly, and our server gave great suggestions. Food was good and plentiful. Nice setting. Ample free parking. Met Mama, herself, and she is delightful. We ordered the tomato bisque, chicken caprese sandwich, tuna melt, arancini (fried rice ball stuffed with sausage), stuffed mushrooms, finished with a slice of carrot cake and crème brûlée cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. Please consider that they just opened so there will be a bit of a wait. Excellent service and food! I had the seafood soup and an arugula burrata salad. The soup was exquisite and super fresh. The salad was hearty and delicious. My husband had a tuna salad sandwich and a side salad plus a cup of tomato bisque. All of it was on point. The owner came to the table to check on us in addition to the server. Service and ambiance are warm and welcoming. I love the bright natural light in the space! The menu is a good mix of sweet and savory. Portions aren't super large. Price point is slightly high for the portions. Definitely a nice place for a treat. read more

Worst breakfast I ever had. Asked for over easy eggs, came out hockey pucks. Potatoes were greasy and have been sitting awhile. 2 pieces of bacon were half cooked. Second plate was French toast with no flavor, (except for the whipped cream topping). I hope they're known for dinner cause breakfast sucked! And still had to pay $30! Never again read more

The decor of this place is beautiful. Although, I got the French onion soup and the cheese was in the form of slimy goops at the bottom of the bowl. Service was sub-par, not super warm or comforting. Making payments at the end was difficult entering card numbers manually into a tablet. I might give it another try in the future. read more

We had breakfast here this morning. It was nice inside. There was only one other family in there. Love the quaintness of the restaurant. The food was delicious. Their coffee is different then other restaurants. It has a hint of maybe cinnamon. Our waitress, Amazyng, (her name), was very attentive. Momma Catherine came out and asked how our meal was . Mamas knows what's she's doing! If you've been to La Botte, you know the great food and atmosphere. Mamas Caffe just opened but you're getting the same warm menu and service as you do at La Botte. I was worried about going in so soon after they opened but we gave it a shot. We were seated right away and we both ordered the Passion iced tea. I was worried that it would taste watery as it was light but the flavor was delicious and refreshing. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and my friend ordered the sausage frittata with potatoes. Afterward, we enjoyed the carrot cake- super moist and tons of nuts and fruit. Icing wasn't too sweet. All were tasty! They definitely were hustling as far as service goes but the staff was friendly and tried to keep up with the streams of people coming in. Hopefully we can keep them in business so they can hire more people. This isn't a fast food place so expect to wait a little bit and just enjoy relaxing with your company.
