My girlfriend and I met at Mama Stortini's for a light bite to start our monthly meet-up. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Happy Hour is offered daily from 2pm-6pm and all day on Sunday and Monday. Mama Stortini's has a large lounge area as well as family dining. We opted for the lounge. The lounge has a couple of TVs to ensure sports games are not missed. A full bar is available for those who enjoy cocktails. While looking over the menu, I had a 16oz Spacedust IPA for $8.50 and my girlfriend had a 16oz Mac & Jack for $7.50. My girlfriend and I shared the medium Tuscan Chop Chop Salad for $11.50: romaine, smoked gouda cheese, turkey, salami, tomato and garbanzo beans with white balsamic vinaigrette dressing and garnished with grated Parmesan cheese. The kitchen was kind enough to serve our salads on separate plates. The salad itself was light, tasty and refreshing. Staff friendly and real. Overall, the next time I'm in the Kent area, I wouldn't mind stopping into Mama Stortini's to try more of their menu items. read more

I was in town with my family meeting an aunt for the first time. She said she brings her daughters here for special occasions. The place is a bit fancy. The service was great and our waitress was so nice and accommodating for my elderly parents. We ordered calamari and garlic bread for the table, both of which were amazing. Best calamari I've had in a while. I ordered the chicken Marsala with the risotto. The chicken and Marsala sauce was good but I did not like the risotto it wasn't flavorful and a little hard. AFORDABLE ITALIAN FARE The food is pretty good. I had the Chicken Parm and it was a huge breaded cutlet on top of spaghetti with red sauce. My wife had the Chicken Ravioli with Marcella sauce. She thought it was delicious. Service was friendly but slow. The restaurant was not full and there seemed to be a lot of staff who were standing around chatting with each other instead of taking care of the customers. The food here was not bad, but it was not great. I ordered an elevated gin and tonic, which was $17. It was so sweet, which is not what you expect when you order a gin and tonic. My friend ordered one too and hated it. The zucchini crisps were definitely crisp, but could have used a lot less batter. The sauce it came with tasted watered down. For my main dish I had the colossal chicken parmesan. It was definitely big. The flavor was bland, even after the freshly grated parmesan and black pepper. Went here with my wife for date night, a couple of weeks ago. Got seated quickly and decided on calamari for the appetizer. It was perfectly done, golden brown, and delicious. The dipping sauce was an extra nice touch. I opted for the lasagna and my wife had the Cajun pasta. Both were outstanding. Lasagna was layer upon layer of deliciousness, and the Cajun pasta was spicy without being too hot. Our server was very attentive and kept our water glasses full all throughout the meal. Had the tiramisu for dessert and was the perfect compliment to a great meal. I highly recommend this for those looking for a great Italian meal. read more

The hostess was really sweet and chatted with us as they were getting our table ready, we are from out of state and we're excited to try new places. We were seated as soon as our table was ready, given menus and our server came over right away. Our server Andrew, was new and in training with Christina. They were both incredible. Always coming to the table to check on us with a smile and good vibes. The restaurant has a large floor plan along with outdoor seating. All the staff here was so friendly. Our waitstaff duo offered their opinions and suggestions when we inquired. Now on to the food - we got their seasonal Melty Caprese Dip & Chessey garlic bread as appetizers. That merry caprese dip was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Solid 11/10. I got a Huckleberry Hibiscus Smash & my friend got the black berry sangria, both were exceptional. For our main course I got the Browned Butter Myzithra spaghetti & she got the rigatoni bolognese with meatballs. The sauce on that bolognese was incredible. This one is in Kent area. Theres a huge parking lot but it was still pretty packed maybe because it during the holidays? I'm not sure. But make sure to come 10 minutes early. This restaurant is huge. We made reservations for a party of 10. You can make a reservation on open table (love that). This would be a great place to have celebrations. There is a bar area, if you just want to hang out and have a drink. They have multiple TVs around in case you're trying to watch a sports event. The food: me and a friend shared the Linguine Caprese, it was pretty tasty. The pasta was al dente. We also ordered Cedar Plank roasted salmon, Harissa Glazed Salmon, and Lemon Pepper Linguine + Sauté. The family enjoyed their food as there was no left overs to take home. I wanna start off with saying that the service was great! Our server Esme (spelling?) was above and beyond especially with the recommendations she's very knowledgeable and friendly! Our food was great we loved our appetizer with the toasted garlic cheesy bread which she suggested as well, the fettucine was great and very creamy in my opinion, the Parmesan chicken was very tender and juicy! I adore their chicken parmigiana and the marinara sauce is really good too. I've also tried the mushroom ravioli and chicken marsala. Honestly if you want comfort food, really sizeable portions (that i'm embarrassed to say i usually don't leave leftovers) than this spot is perfect. I've actually never eaten in at the joint. Our daughter and I were in Kent for a great concert and we wanted to have a glass of wine before the show, so we visited Mama Stortini's. Christina, our server was terrific. And the other server in the lounge also appeared to have a great attitude and was very engaging to her guests. What turned me off was the maintenance of the restaurant. Upon walking thru the parking lot to Mama's, the filthy awnings stood out. Why aren't these being cleaned? Then I saw booth seats in the lounge that had very visible tears. These can be fixed. And of course lights and chairs needed dusting as they were extremely dirty. These items mentioned could all be taken care of quickly...so I am not sure why they are not. read more

It has a light cream consistency but a ton of flavor. It didn't stick to the pasta well but somehow it was still enough in each bite! Added Parmesan Cheese helps it stick better. We came here on January 2nd for happy hour and drinks. We ordered 2 HH bolognese. When they were delivered, we said yes to the Parmesan but the expo person wasn't paying attention and never came back. It was loud in there, but I also nodded my head yes. When we have ordered before it has always come with marinara sauce on it, which is what we expected. But, ok, so it matched with our bolognese, so no biggie. Cut into them and they were not even warm. So we sent them back. Then they came back brown and shriveled and no sauce at all. ‍ So we sent them back again and they basically just poured a teeny bit of sauce over the top. Still super dry gross meatballs. I saw the manager walking by and mentioned to her it took a couple tries for them and all she said was "yeah, I was back there." What?!!! You are the manager lady, you could at least apologize to your customer for blowing it TWO times!! But no, she just strolls around cleaning tables with a scowl on her face. I have never run into a manager that doesn't say "how can we make it right?" THAT is the proper way to handle it. Good thing we had a $15 off coupon towards the dinner, because the meatballs were barely edible and no considerations were offered. We usually love this place. We were so disappointed today. They have a great three course meal for $28.95 that is more food than one person could ever eat. We always share portions of this meal with the table. Uh-oh! My 82 year old dad mentioned he and I were going to "split". My 79 year old mom was ordering her own entree. Mind you we were not asking the kitchen to split the meal physically on two plates. I made it clear we would make do with the plates we were already planning on ordering. I associate this as meaning lemon-blackpepper what you would find in your local grocery store shelf. In actually this is Red Pepper which is considerably spicier. I was invited to a birthday party and it was a good experience! They allowed them to set up the table with decorations which was nice. The ambiance is clean and classy. Our server was also very nice, helpful, patient and attentive. It was cool that they had a 3 course affordable option. I ended up creating my own pasta with linguine, tomato cream sauce, and added sautéed mushrooms, with an order of cheese bread. It was pretty yum! My sister had Alfredo and the first bite I had was delicious but the second there was some noodles a bit undercooked, but cooked enough to eat. Maybe since we were a bigger party. Once seated we waited at least 10-15 minutes as another group of guests were seated with their child while we had waited. Not even 2 minutes later was this family helped before us. We ordered a medium and large chop salad and they literally were the same size. That was really disappointing. The large used to come in a huge bowl. Now I just feel jipped. She left us sitting for long stretches, messed up one of our drinks, forgot my second drink, never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. After telling waitress that I was concerned about the food's safety, she said that I shouldn't be concerned because food is cooked, then regeated. I am not sure how she got her food permit to be honest. The service here was wonderful. The food was so lackluster. My drink, the earl grey lemonade, lacked flavor besides the glob of lavender syrup at the bottom. It tasted like water with essence of lemon and lavender. I opted for wine after that. Nothing tasted like alcohol in there or earl grey. For my meal I had a lemon fettuccine with shrimp and the sauce was mid, incredibly strong lemon flavor with a great deal of bitterness. The shrimp was the most disappointing part of the meal. They were incredibly overcooked almost as though there was a glaze cooked onto it. The flavor was off and the shrimp were dry and chewy. I was there celebrating my birthday with my kids and husband and Mama Stortinis has always held a special place in our hearts but it's become too much of a commercialized experience. 10 years ago this place was so good. Three course meal for 27$, and I picked the chop chop salad huge amount, chicken parmasen was delicious, and tiramisu was also great. The bad though is they ran out of creme brûlée which we ordered and were told mid way through the meal so forced to order a replacement. My sister had been there before and gotten the tiramisu twice before, and noted that the tiramisu we got this time was half of the size, obviously trying to compensate for their missing creme brûlée. I took a former coworker here for lunch (her choice) and what a disappointment! Food portions were very small. I ordered a salad, but specifically asked for the large (it comes in regular or large). Honestly, I've had side salads bigger than this. But, the worst part was the bugs. Gnats and flies were consistently bombarding us at the table and were also present in the bathroom. Clearly, there's a cleanliness issue at this restaurant. I wish I would have looked at the other reviews before going as this is clearly an ongoing problem. We were there for a concert. I wish there was a Mama Stortini's near our home in Lake Stevens now. The food was divine. I had Chicken Marsala with Risotto. I'm obsessed with Chicken Marsala so I've had it many times, but this one topped them all. Plenty of mushrooms, a lovely Marsala sauce, buttery chicken, and to-die-for risotto. My husband had salmon with mashed potatoes. I tried the potatoes, and they were delicious. He said the salmon was excellent. We also had a couple of crostinis with feta and cherry tomatoes, and they were so good I googled the recipe and added it to my recipe book. Our creme brulee was also delicious. We came before a concert and it just happened to be happy hour! We sat in the bar - which has its own entrance, and that saved some waiting time. It was super busy with only 3 tables open when we arrived. It was pretty loud. I got the Spicy Agave margarita with Ghost pepper tequila. It wasn't that spicy but had good flavor. For dinner I ordered the Buttermilk chicken tenders and fries. The chicken is hand cut, it was the most tender chicken I have ever had in my life! The breading was crispy and just a tad too salty. Fries were crispy and warm. Served with a chipotle aioli that was delicious. My guy got The minestrone soup and it was also some of the best I've ever had; Full of vegetables and the broth was exploding with flavor. Well, what to say about Mama Stortini's Kent Station? Simply Fantastic! Service is exceptional. Hosts are always incredibly polite. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. Very fancy and true to its cuisine. Being able to watch the Kitchen from our table is always a privilege! The Seafood Fettuccine awesome. The lasagna (it has been a while) was a winner. The Chicken Ravioli (my favorite) is creamy and delightful. Mama's house/fav salad is so good, so good. The chicken parm delicious. Their pizza is hard to ignore. Love the thin crust and their secret sauce. Their grilled salmon is a hit. The Mama Mia Shrimp, oh my! Everything in their menu is actually top notch. (Believe me, I have tried pretty much a third of their items!) And of course, last but not least, their French Onion Soup is amazing, as I have lost count now of how many times I've had it. No. But they found us a table anyway on what appeared to be a busy Friday night. I had the Bolognese with both meatballs and sausage! This was Gooood Bolognese! Not from a bag or a can and heated - I swear they had to make this from scratch; and I can tell you, a good Bolognese is not a simple sauce. This was good! Everything was good! First time here It is a really big floor plan. Lots of tables. There was a high pitched noise that persisted throughout the meal - really agitating. The music they played didn't match the theme of the restaurant. The food was subpar - ordered a burger and the chicken pear salad. The salad was overly sweet and heavy on the dressing which made the salad limp and unpalatable.
